Very warm welcome by staff in very pleasant surroundings. We had the set three course which gave limited choice but was very competitively priced with a bottle of their house red ( excellent). It was our decision to choose the set lunch menu , which was well cooked and appropriate , and it did not disappoint. However perhaps we should have been more adventurous. We certainly would go back.Hence five stars because it delivered what it said on the label and I could not fault their service or atmosphere and the food was our choice based upon value for money . Great place to take the family.Thank you so much 54ken_S, that was a lovely and detailed review for us. We hope to see you again soon so you can explore our menu even more. Thanks, Ceri.

Excellent value for money. Booked online for 3 at 19.00 hrs. We were given a choice of tables and drinks ordered. We skipped starters, and our mains were served in 20 mins! The rump steaks were good and so was the gammon. However there only seemed to be English mustard available if you didn't choose an additional sauce. The apple crumble was spot on!The manager and staff should be congratulated on their fast and efficient service. If I have to make one criticism, it would be that the Gents could do with a makeover! Thanks for taking the time to let us know how we did. We're glad to hear we delivered such a great experience. If there's anything further we can do for you, we are happy to help!

Visited here for a friends birthday and have to say from the first greeting it was a delightful pleasurable experience. The service was first class, the staff, were warm, friendly, knowledgeable& very professional. The starters we had were first class, the main courses the same & desserts exceptional all for £8.45 each. Really can recommend this lovely eating place but recommend booking.

At The Gravesberie Inn we're obsessed about our food and service. Whatever the occasion, quality, freshness, value for money and great service all matter.
Visited the gravesberie inn at the weekend to celebrate family birthdays. We were shown to our table that was private which was amazing. Table was decorated with helium balloons which was a nice addition. Our server for the evening Jeannie, was very attentive and helpful taking our order for drinks and then for our food. Our meals were all excellent and could not be faulted. I had the seafood grill which was well presented and delicious. My husband had rump steak and beef dripping gravy, which he said was cooked just as he had asked. Excellent in every way.

Ate here with a large family group on Sunday. Pub was nice enough and staff fine. I ordered the roast and although the portions were large and the meat OK, the Yorkshire was on the cold side and the crispy parsnips were over done. Funny choice of veg for this time of year. Others did report their choices were good though.

First time eating here for a party of four. Decor is very tasteful and pleasant and done to a high standard. Not a huge menu to choose from but we all found food we were happy with. Service was decent, not the most attentive however it was unobtrusive. Party for 4 with drinks around £170 with tip

Six of us visited on August 24th to grab a few cocktails prior to eating at the restaurant next door. We originally intended to visit either of the other two bars next door, but both of them were rammed and noisy with crowds spilling out into the street. I'm so glad we went to Grand Ave instead. We had a lovely airy table next to the opened bi fold doors. Our wide range of cocktails were very well made and everyone in our party enjoyed them. The service was outstanding, despite me ordering an 'Old-fashioned' (known to take a while to mix!).A great atmosphere and friendly staff, I can definitely recommend this venue. Whilst we didn't eat there, the food served to other patrons looked very tasty, appetising and nicely presented.

Dropped in for lunch having never been in before and really enjoyed the relaxed cosy atmosphere, as well as excellent food. There is a great feel about the tap, itâs quite traditional in its appearance, great music playing in the background and a warm seat by the log burner. The menu is fairly limited, but the veg sharing platter with a slice of locally made pork pie, was beyond expectation. Beautifully presented and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Fanatical about flames; silly about smokers and utterly obsessed with the smells, tastes and traditions of the Deep South. Our smokin' hot menu is available all day every day, from smokehouse classics including ribs, Texas style beef brisket, to steak and
I must remember not to do the early shift in the evening. Just too many kids - HOWEVER they were all very well behaved but just a little too noisy for a miserable old s** like me. Staff great and food excellent. Drinks came out of a bottle ! Everything to my liking. Reading a menu in the conservatory part is very difficult so I used my phone light. I was so please to see many others (and younger) doing the same - may be something to consider guys?Hi Howard-Liverpool,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It's great to hear that you were well looked after and you enjoyed the food!We will take on board your comments about the lighting in the Veranda - Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We hope to see you again soon.Best Wishes,Tom

Nice bar/restaurant. Decor is cosy but modern, there is a large outdoor seating area, which is great when the weather is warm. Downside is that there is no table service outside, so to order food/drinks you have to go inside each time.Had a large selection of the Tapas/Small Plates type food, which all came pretty quickly, and piping hot. Most were excellent, would highly recommend the Chunky Chips (these were my personal favourite, absolutely delicious), chicken strips with chimichurri sauce, crispy beef (this was in a delicious sauce, we used to mop up our garlic bread afterwards), salt and pepper halloumi fries (YUM!!! Restaurants never seem to get that Salt and Pepper right, but these definitely did).A couple of us had prawns, which were a massive disappointment "pan fried" they definitely were not, they were still white and pink, more like poached/boiled/reheated, and there was a butter heavy sauce, not white wine. We couldn't eat much of these, beyond trying them unfortunately. The nachos were a bit of a conundrum, when first served they were delicious, seemingly hand made and large. However they were covered in cheese and a cheese type sauce, and stood up around all of the dips, so after a few minutes they were all completely soggy and inedible.A selection of a couple of desserts would be a welcome addition also. Can't really complain for the price and service, I'd be back, would just avoid ordering the above again.
