The Greenwood Inn is a family-owned and managed full-service restaurant that was established in 1954. We've been called a RI Institution, and we're very proud and appreciative of that. Our menu is quite varied but we're known for our seafood (baked stuffe
My family recently had a birthday dinner for my mother. Twelve of us were there. First off, we could not have had a better server! Eddie was amazing. He was attentive, anticipated our needs perfectly, and has an award winning personality. The food was excellent. All of us were very pleased with our meals. The restaurant gave us great seating in a separate room so we had room enough and were not right in the middle of other diners. A big thank you to everyone there for helping us making mom's birthday wonderful and a special thank you to Eddie who made us all laugh and enjoy it that much more.So very glad to hear this great feedback. It was our pleasure to help give your mom a great birthday celebration. And thank you for acknowledging Eddie. Like so many of our servers and hostesses, he truly enjoys making our customers feel special! (Thank you, Eddie!)

An inspired Italian restaurant, our focus at Avvio is on fresh, simple ingredients. Prepared with distinct, yet traditional cooking techniques, our menu features Italian classic dishes along with true Neapolitan pizzas, fresh Italian salads and wood-fire
Atmosphere is lovely. Busy bar scene. Immaculate, excellent service. I never had to request more water. Bread sticks and bread upon request. Choices for vegan and gluten free. Handicap accessible. Veal parmigiana was very good. Wonderful sauce/gravy for the pasta. The Pasta Con Pollo was good, but was weak on the chicken portion. Chicken pieces were very small and thin; much was over cooked.Thank you Bobbie. Thanks for the very kind review and we are glad you enjoy it here at Avvio. We are always glad to know our service makes a good impression. We will share your feedback on the Pasta con Pollo with our culinary team. They are always listening to guest feedback to find out how we can keep getting better. We hope you come back and join us again. Gratefully,Raul EstevesGeneral Manager

I love this place. It is right on the bay and such a great restaurant. I just just have their chowder and clam cakes when I visit and I strongly believe they are the best in the state. The staff are always friendly and the place is always immaculate.

Not only is the Shannon View a comfortable, friendly and clean place to hang out but the food and spirits are great. Everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and accommodating whether it is a take-out order, a small party of two or a large group of noisy friends, they handle it all with style.

Looking for a place that was nice, and while driving to another place we spotted this place across the street. Very nice interior with exceptional staff. I rate this waitress as one of the best ones we've had on this stay. Food was excellent, and you had a beautiful view of the bay from your table in one part of restaurant, with large parking area at end of street to relax either in your car or on the beach or rocks for you to enjoy.

Disappointing. Food selection ho-hum with such long lines that it looked overbooked. Even desserts were limited in selection. Crowded with narrow access and egress at front desk/doors. Compared to a couple of years ago this has gone downhill and can't recommend again.

Went here after a long day traveling. We got there at 945pm and they close at 10pm. It wasn't a problem, the staff welcomed us and treated us very well. The yam fries was the appetizer and it was amazing....highly recommend. I had BBQ ribs for entree and wife had lobster roll. Both dishes were outstanding and delicious. I would not recommend the jalapeno fried mac n cheese.it is a deep fried square of mac n cheese with panko breading. It was not good at all to me. Probably just a personal preference but I wouldn't order that again.

Driving from NYC to Cape Cod, we stopped at the airport in Providence to pick up family members. Since it was after 1:00, we decided to have lunch before continuing on. Located Ironworks on TA, and liked the menu. Only about 5 minutes from arrivals, the place is bright and airy - even on an overcast day. I'd say the menu has something for everyone. I can only report on two items, though. We shared the stuffies (excellent) and the lentil and cauliflower fritters (also very good). My brother-in-law and I were both drawn to the same two sandwiches, so we decided to share - the chimmichurri chicken breast and the crispy pork and broccoli raab. The chicken was underwhelming, but the pork sandwich was outstanding. Nice, friendly service and good selection of beers. I'd go back again!Thank you Paul! We are glad you stopped on your journey east and more importantly, I am happy you enjoyed. We hope you come back to the area someday and we have the opportunity to serve you again. Nice location near the waterfront. Really crowded on a weekday night, with long waits. Seems to be a well established local favorite. However, I ordered the mahi-mahi dish with mango sauce. The fish was HARD, overcooked by a seafood restaurant. Shame. I didn't want to wait another 30-45 minutes for another entree but the manager took it off the bill.I would have preferred to have the fish cooked properly and have paid the bill.Service otherwise was good and views are gorgeous. Thank you for dining at Iggy's Boardwalk. We apologize for your overcooked Mahi. We take pride in providing our customers with quality food and service. Unfortunately, mistakes are sometimes made, but we appreciate your understanding and hope this won't deter you from returning in the future.
