Things to do in Vera
Family business founded in 1987. Traditional bar with homemade tapas located in front of the bullring. Variety of toast in the morning for breakfast and variety of tapas and homemade rations.
Not fancy but great tapas. Small inside area plus an outdoor sidewalk terrace with views of the bullring. A wide variety of great tapas. Special cooked to order tapas after 1 pm when the cook arrives. Get there early...it is mobbed with workers on siesta break at 2 pm. The quail eggs with ham and tomato on Spanish bread are our favorites. This is where the Spaniards go, so it is thoroughly authentic. We go here often.

Family run bar/eatery. Good selection of breakfasts, lunches and evening meals plus a daily specials board. Beers, soft drinks, wines and spirits. Great views over the sea from the terrace. Quiz every Wednesday at 19.30. Sunday roast starts at 1 clock. Fi
Not new to Scottyâs, we came down for a couple of drinks whilst dinner cooked at home. Ready to leave, the smell of the garlic sizzling prawns was enough for us to go home, take dinner out and come back! They didnât disappoint! Not did the Thai vegetable curry and Hunters chicken. Watch the moon rise over the ocean, great food, drink and hospitality.

Went for a meal here for the first and really looking forward to it as we do not get many new restaurants in this area, what a disappointment although it started well.Ordered wine and bread whilst looking at the menu and we were pleasantly surprised when we got a very tasty bottle and of red and some nice crusty rolls with olives and great ailioli with olive oil and herbs. It went downhill from there when we received our meal which was Milanasse chick and beef, it came with. Few fries and no veg. The whole thing was very greasy and the beef was like shoe leather and at â¬14.00 it was really not worth half of that, all the meals are quite expensive for this area. The service was also very slow and we had to chase the staff for everything. Wonât be going again for food.Well worth a visit for music on Thursday with drinks only.

Stumbled across this restaurant for lunch. It is both a restaurant and a fishmongers. Everything we had was very well cooked and delicious; red prawns, grilled squid, roe and a tomato salad with bonito (cured/smoked tuna). Very much recommend appears to open until 4pm then shuts until 8pm for dinner. Very much worth a visit.

Nice setting. Food choices adequate but you need to enjoy seafood.Good wine list and reasonable prices.Service appeared to be a little up and down, language difficulties made staff appeR rude. Not good value for food, meals pretty basic . We would not return.

Made our way here with high expectations having read previous reviews and found it plesant but fairly standard. The ice cream is widely available Carte D'Or and flavour options limited to the usual fare. My favourite, coffee, was not available the day we visited. Bight and clean helareria though and very friendly waitress.Gracias por su opinión y muchas gracias por su visita, esperamos volver a verlos en alguna ocasión.Thank you

We had the menu del dia here at 15 euros per person. Slightly above the Average rate for menu del dia locally Starters and main courses were delightful, lots of choice, and fresh. Desert however was a disaster. We had a choice between 3 different mouses, or carrot cake. So ordered carrot cake and got the worlds smallest portion of... lemon cake dyed orange? It was like a normal cake slice halved and halved again Surely if you can cook good main meals then you can make some simple deserts enough to give a normal sized portion?I also ordered drinks twice and never got them, had to ask repeatedly and it wasnât busy. Itâs a shame.

Pub Millionaire is in a fabulous location facing the sea with plenty of outside seating. The staff are great, George, Laura, Emma and Colin are friendly and welcoming. There is a huge menu offering snacks (pancakes, toasties, burgers etc to dinners and are always excellent. Our particular favourites are the Chicken Curry, Chilli and the Millionaire Salad. Great place to watch all sporting events or just to relax after a walk along the Paseo or coming from the beach. Its a regular 'go to' for us

We have been coming to Verá Playa for the last 5 years and always come to this lovely bar/restaurant. The hosts Teresa and Bunny and their staff are most welcoming , offering a great choice of delicious home cooked food. Get Ryan to make you a cocktail, they are the best around! There is entertainment every Saturday night too catering for all age groups. Best to book a table beforehand as it gets extremely busy. 100% a place to visit and I guarantee you will be back for more.

We ordered a bottle of wine, the waitress arrived with a bottle of wine that has already open. We looked at the cork it was dry and when we later queried her about this, she claimed the wine had been opened 30mins beforehand. The wine didnât taste very well, we left half a bottle behind and left as soon as we finished our meal . We have never been to a restaurant where the wine is not opened in front of the customer. A very unfair review! You were asked on several occasions if everything was ok, and it was never mentioned then that you was unhappy. You drunk nearly all the wine, you cleared your plates of food, so not all too bad. If I can give some advice, please try and speak to the manager of a bar or restaurant at the time to resolve any issues you have, and they may have a solution to make your experience a happier one. One final point, we do open some wine early in busy evenings such as Fridays to speed up service.
