Joined a friend at the infamous Library bar within the Royal York Hotel. Small and quaint with a mish mash of furniture to make it seem like a U of T frat house. They were busy and clearly the staff can't keep up. Asked 3 times for a refill of the snacks and they never came. A refill of water does not exist. Wanted to eat light - ordered the Falafel - at $16 - thought it might be a little better or unique compared to a street place but sadly I was very wrong. Worst sandwich I have ever had. The 3 falafel balls were burnt - way over fried. Wrapped in basic pita and that's about it. I can get a far better sandwich for $6 than my meal last night. Not sure what the big deal of this place is but with all the amazing downtown restaurants and boutique hotels to choose from - don't bother with this place. You can do far better!Thank you for sharing your review. We are truly sorry to learn of the disappointing experience you had with us. We can assure you this is certainly not indicative of the level of service or quality experience we are known to provide. Your feedback is appreciated and we have shared your comments with our Management Team for internal review and follow-up. It is our genuine hope that we will have an opportunity to better serve you in the future and restore your trust in our restaurant. - Meaghan, Guest Experience Specialist

Enjoyed a family dinner for five last night. Service was terrific. We ordered the Pitt Master platter for 2 and shared other items such as Duck Tacos, Ceviche, and the absolutely terrific K.F.C. (Korean Fried Cauliflower). Thank goodness we ordered 2 KFC! Could have eaten that dish all night long. The meat on the platter was delicious with every bite. Sauces were perfectly complementary. The only dish not appreciated was the side: slaw. It really wasnât good.We found it to be expensive restaurant frequented mostly by 30-somethingâs. A couple of cocktails and beer, no wine or dessert, $55 tip, and the total was $355?.Would like to return, but will have to save up the denaros.

We were staying in the area and chose Fired Up due to proximity to our hotel as it's great reviews. We were not disappointed, this restaurant is all around excellent. The food was absolutely delicious with good sized portions. Our server recommended an appetizer that was incredible and we each enjoyed our entrees very much. For those who enjoy a cocktail, we found ours to be stronger than we would expect, but that's not a complaint. The atmosphere is nice, a little rustic and high end all at once. What a great spot, so glad we found it and can't wait for another chance to go back.Thank you for the 5 Star Review. We cant wait to have you back. We are thrilled that you had Great Service, Great Food and Great Ambiance.

Well the title may confuse you wen I tell you that wer actually from Ireland but the story goes!!!! We went here simply because the outside looked amazing and we looked at the menu and they had a good choice of veggie options so thatâs the deal for me. I was with my sister and we had been in Toronto for 3 days then moving to Las Vegas and eventually getting to my daughter who lives in Vancouver. We ordered, and the food was just beautiful and the waitress struck up a conversation because she was so attentive and the restaurant was packed so she had every reason to just do the basics with us,we told her of our little mini bucket list tour she was so interested. After dinner we ordered dessert and just as it was served the manager that was on that evening came over and said her colleague had told her all about us and that they would like to treat us to the dessert on the house and wished us well for the duration of our holiday. Our server was Mya and Iâm hoping I remember the name correctly if not I apologise. So to the title at the beginning our server had a little problem with our very strong N Ireland accents and wen my sister was saying her name she couldnât quite get it so she said Dorothy like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Hand in heart best service ever. Love and thanks you really made the start of our trip so special. Karen and Dorothy kgracie123, Thank you for choosing JOEY Eaton Centre. Refreshing to have a business lunch spot with consistent great healthy copious food. Been here a few times during business trips to Toronto. The large salads with proteins are fresh, well seasoned and always a tasty add on protein. Service is accommodating and attentive. Some spots are noisy but overall great ambience.

In the heart of Cabbagetown, this local favorite offers the choice of an array of classic dishes for lunch and dinner - burger, po' boy, steak frites, fajitas and Burritos, pastas and popular pub grub, and of course an amazing Craft Beer Selection!. And w
I like choosing restaurants based on location (close to hotel) and Tripadvisor reviews. Because of Labour Day weekend, a lot of restaurants in Toronto were closed, which forced me to look at a larger area around our hotel. This one got decent reviews, but did mean we had to take a taxi. Some Canadian friends decided to join us, and contacted the place to change the booking. They did not need to have bothered, as it was almost empty. It does not look great - it's a dingy pub without much atmosphere. It will probably look and feel better if it is full of people. The service was fine. The food wasn't. At least it was cheap. And there was nothing wrong with the beers. Altogether, this might be a good place for some drinks, if it a bit busier. But I would give the food a miss. I have no idea why so many of the reviews are so positive about the food, because this was not our experience.
