My friend and I popped into this restaurant/pub for food tonight. We had an issue with our starter. We ordered Calamari. Calamari was nice but the garnish of salad was brown around the edges wilted and wet. Obviously not fresh. It wasnât pleasant to look at and you certainly wouldnât want to eat it! We brought it to the attention of the waitress but she wasnât bothered and no one came back to address it. We couldnât get anyoneâs attention so ate the calamari which was getting cold and left the so called garnish. On production of the bill we again brought it to the attention of the waiter that we wasnât happy about the starter. Their attitude stunk. Basically we were told we were lucky to have got garnish and it would appear that as long as the calamari was ok the overall presentation was irrelevant. Unbelievable! It appears that it is acceptable for this restaurant to present food that looks unsightly and they donât care about customer satisfaction. The Manager has the same opinion. Will never be returning to this restaurant! If you have a problem with any part of your meal donât expect good customer service as they donât care about customer satisfaction. Terrible attitude- over time their clientele will diminish. They need to be more reasonable. Not cheap either. £7.95 for the starter. Overpriced.

We frequent this establishment and their sister establishment (three horse shoes) on a regular basis. We have eaten in these pubs, too many times to remember. The reason we always frequent these pubs, is the ambience, the alcohol, but most of all the food.So... when we attended tonight, we both chose from the specials menus, as we quite often do.I had the sword fish and my partner had the grilled mackerel. The food was...as good as you could ever wish to taste in any restaurant...anywhere.Just when you thought it couldnât get any better! Started coming here after a wonderful first visit at the beginning of the summer. The staff are truly incredible and we came here to see them more than anything but were again impressed by the food today. Roast beef just perfect, service excellent. Nothing too much trouble, young waitress fetched colouring books for the children and put the cricket on for us too. Feels like visiting family coming here as opposed to most places which are often stressful on a Sunday. We've been told it gets busier in the colder months, we'll still be visiting whenever in the area as this delightful place is so friendly and comfortable. Toliet roll holders need attention but that's the only fault our family of 5 could find. See you again really soon. MBW xHi MariaThank you again for such a wonderful review! You guys are welcome back anytime!!Best WishesDamien

An independently family owned and ran traditional pub, for 33 years with a tapas based restaurant that also serves traditional lunches and a selection of main courses and bar meals to suit most tastes. We also have a patio flower garden to enjoy in the su
Make sure you book in advanced to avoid disappointment as this place is always busy! With both and outside area for the summer and an inside section for the colder months you can enjoy this amazing food at any time. The manchego cheese with red onion is my favourite. Amazing service, the girl serving us was so lovely and we found out it was her first day! Good job and great food!

We are a family run pub, situated in the beautiful heart of Teddington next to the train station. We have transformed the bar into a cosy area for casual dining and drinking with a restored 80 seater dining room upstairs. We have an extensive menu, rangin
First impression from outside is that this is just another back street pub, located next to Tedding railway station. When I made my reservation, I was told that only downstairs tables were available; significant only because I later found that the upstairs is slightly nicer than the downstairs. Not a problem. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Quick service with a smile. Very clean pub, light and airy. So before the food arrived I was ready to ready to rate this place 3/5. Then the food arrived, and my rating went from 3/5 to 5/5.They served probably the nicest Sunday roast I have ever seen. Generous portions of top quality food, expertly cooked, beautifully presented. Just delicious. I've not been a fan of creamed cabbage before, but now I am if it's how they serve it. Parsnips superb - delicious coating. If my life depended on finding something negative to say about the meal, the best I could do is suggest that the gravy could be slightly thicker, but even that is so subjective as to not really count. Prices vary slightly with the meat chosen (lamb, beef, chicken, pork), but all are under £15 per plate at time of writing. Great value. If your entire party want the same meat, you could choose their Sunday Roast Sharing Board, which makes sense for 3 people. A good range of desserts is offered, although none were diabetic friendly otherwise I might have had one. This is a complaint I will be using more often often on TA, because desserts for diabetics are rare but no more difficult that mains for vegetarians. I did have a coffee though and that was excellent. Summary: Well above average food for average prices. The Railway is a Great British gem.Footnote: Thanks to previous TripAdvisor reviewers for rating this to catch my attention.

Stopped over for lunch meeting, the staff were excellent and polite. The tapas? One never arrived, the calamari was so thinly sliced that couldn't be tasted. The rest were just ok. The deserts were also ok but small in portions. The location is excellent for parking and close to other shops, station and restaurants. On a warm sunny day, the open windows were a bonus. It's not a place I would rush to but then again for a quick lunch it's not bad.

This is very much a Victorian purpose built pub, but its roots are somewhat older. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689, the time of William III. Maybe it's the history of the building that gives the pub its appeal or it could be Polly a
