If you happen to be wandering past and see a light on inside, come on in! We have beer aplenty round-the-clock - all you need to tell us is what you think the secret to a truly cosy and welcoming tavern is. Moku is one the vibrant bars in Tartu, bringing
Even though I almost killed myself trying to get through those steep stairs and low ceiling, I cannot deny the cosiness of the place. Small, friendly and familiar with a wide selection of drinks.I cannot judge the food or whatever, but if what you're looking for is a crowded student pub, you'll have definitely found it.For sure you have to be a fast mover or an early bird if you're looking for a table or a free stool, but also to hang around just chilling for few talk is perfect.I don't suggest this place to those who doesn't like crowded and small places, or those who avoid student pubs. But in my modest opinion this place is either a good opening and ending for the evening.Again: careful on those stairs.

Cafe Suudlevad Tudengid (Metsar OU) has been open since December 2004. The Cafe got its name from the fountain "Suudlevad Tudengid" (Kissing Students) situated at the , which depicts two students, a young woman and a man kissing under an umbrella. The scu
We stopped by here for a quick lunch...chicken snitzel roast potatoes, dumplings & sour cream. Both were delicious.

Forrest is more than just a place to eat â it is a lifestyle and a way of thinking. An exceptional experience, which redefines everyday entertainment. Everyone will find something unforgettable and close to their heart. Constant joy, new and amazing taste
Great staff and an interesting menu, some items with a unique and delicious twist. Very good prices, too. The place was very clean and comfortable and in a great location. The limited menu means that they are good at what they do. Very nice presentation as well.

We prepare our dishes in a Josper Charcoal Oven!
During the work week, high value and filling lunch specials (which changed each day) really fueled us. Great price for schnitzel and coffee at outdoor tables. Good service. Clean bathroom.

Presidents of 5 different countries were in Pahad Poisid(=Bad Boys) to watch some World Cup after their meeting in Tartu, so that tells alot! Nice terrace few steps away from Raekoja Plats(Old Town's Main Square). Large place inside, with dozens of images on their wall of "bad boys" from Lemmy to Ozzy Osbourne and Dennis Rodman and everything between. They are serving food too, but we took Guinness from draft(4,90â¬)

Friendly service, cheap prices, foosball and real football on screens, good music, clients from students to teachers - these are only few words that describe us! We are open every single night, selling drinks and food, we do have something for everyone -
My fifth star can be explained by nostalgic memories. Way back in 1993 I spent 6 weeks in Tartu doing my practical studies in a kindergarten, which was some experience, since there had never been a male worker in that unit before. But since Tartu and Tampere are sister towns, I also managed to get - with a big effort from the kindergarten manager - two gigs in Illegaard for a band I played with. Another experience!!Anyways, after a very good dinner in Werner (practically next door) we paid a brief visit here just to check how is everything. Pretty OK, it seems. A relaxed, multilingual clientele under the vaulted roof; inexpensive drinks; and the nice young female bartender just happened to have her birthday. If my children ever decide to study abroad, I will strongly recommend Tartu and the city's friendly atmosphere!

Tavern Hansa Tall has two halls which seat up to 80 people. The tavern is built in real hanseatic style with mediaeval surroundings and offers Estonian meals. Here you can have receptions, lunches and dinners for groups. In summer you can have a nice time
I came here after I couldn't get into Olle Tare. It was a good choice as I found myself in a restaurant with great atmosphere, affordable prices and good portions. The food itself was nothing spectacular but I can't really complain about it. I asked for traditional Estonian dishes and they didn't let me down. The waitress was chatty and happy to explain everything in-depth.The alcoholic beverages were a bit expensive for my budget except for the beers. The place was all but full when I was there but I can imagine it could get really crowdy on a Friday night.

New restaurant in the old place. We do have the best tapas selection, very good daily special menus and fantastic a la carte menu. We are opened daily 11.30 - 15.00 (only for lunches) and 18.00 - ..... Come and enjoy our art exhibitions, food and wines:)
Popped in earlier in the evening for a drink and liked the ambience and the friendly staff, so looked at the menu and decided to go back later for a meal. We were welcomed back and had a delicious meal and excellent service. Would recommend Hei, Phil! Thank you for your kind words :)

The best wine bar outside Tallinn:) We offer different kind of wines and fantastic antipasti. In every month we have wine tastings with best sommeliers and guests from different wineries.
Darted in here during a downpour and stayed to have two glasses of wine and a snack plate. Bartender recommended a nice German red wine, with plenty of body to it and a great leathery/tobaccoey aftertaste. Snack plate consisted of tasty cheese, hand cut salami, grilled artichoke, grilled peppers, and toasted bread. Friendly and welcoming place.

We enjoyed the ambience of this old gunpowder cellar. The service was friendly and helpful even though they were pretty busy (even early in the evening). Food was yummy and we had a really enjoyable time. I would beware sitting outside if you don't like mosquitoes - or take repellent! Shame really as outside looked nice and I didn't really want to be inside on such a nice evening; nevertheless, the atmosphere inside is great (I could imagine on a cold day it would be perfect).
