We called in mid afternoon having seen the sign offering 2 meals for £8.99. We didn't have high hopes when opting for the battered fish and chips at that price, but did we get a surprise?The portions were a very reasonable size and both came with peas and tartare sauce. We each had half a grilled lemon that poured forth a stream of juice. The star though was the thick battered fish that was so crisp and tasty , clearly not straight out of the freezer.Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your fish and were able to take advantage of our £8.99 menu. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.Kind RegardsRob

This quirky little pub ,is stratfords hidden gem , serving unusual beer and lagers ,teas coffee , with a great array of soft drinks we have a beautiful large flower filled beer garden at the rear ,for the summer months and a log fire for those cold winter

Just one nights visit to Stratford and after a wonderful meal we headed here for an aperitif with live music!!! I had previously searched for a live bad and this was did not disappoint!! Simon Boswell and his right hand man were amazing!!!!! So talented and happy that we were able to visit and appreciate his talent! A lovely pub with a fantastic atmosphere!

My favorite part of having drinks at the Windmill was its outside deck and it was a nice day! The barmen were slow to notice our presence, but Philip poured a nice drink though rather expensive. To have a drink in a place that is 600 years old was cool. I would try a different place next time.

What a great pub so friendly made me feel so welcome Chris and Lynette came across as lovely people. Wish I had a place like this on my doorstep. If you are ever in Stratford be sure to pop in. Popped in this pub with friends after visiting a lovely local antique place.Weird stuffy smell and dirty glasses.Not many people there and staff not very engaging.Left after the one drink and ended up at The Bell in Welford - much much nicer !!!

...but how about you just pop in!Modern inside and outside places to eat. Very good staff. Menu great, fresh and filling, but of course delicious. Wines good. We have driven past for years, and this is the first time we stopped at about 2.30pm on a Saturday. Plenty of people so well liked, and choice of interesting bar foods. Also, they do some takeaway of their menu - very good idea in a village without these services. Definitely going back.

Truly authentic, rustic, Italian and Sicilian food in Stratfords only proper wine bar.Terrific, comprehensive range of wines - in every taste, and price.Great tasting room experience, without price shocks.Atmosphere and ambience of a Mediterranean bar, with food. Really fresh Caciocavallo, grand Aubergine Stew, and, Oh! so authentic beef and veal meatballs, in tomato, oreganoand olive sauce. Made extra special with topping of Tellegio cheese.No downside to this great find, even 3 draught lagers, and a ' yankee ' I. P. A. for beer lovers !
