Echo Tap and Grille

We've eaten here twice. We went a second time hoping that our first poor experience wasn't typical. Unfortunately it was. Both times the place was nearly empty, so should not have been too busy for timely service. Wait staff was pleasant but slow both times. Food was completely unremarkable and we will not go back.

We like hamburgers, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, broiled salmon, and other pubby standards that McLynn's does well. There are three rooms: bar, near dining room, far dining room; if you want to talk quietly, the far dining room is to be preferred, as the bar is frequently boisterous. Service is prompt and friendly, and the specials are listed on a slate brought to your table as you are seated. Parking in the back (down the side alley) is easy. McLynn's is a good neighborhood pub with a loyal clientele.

Winberie's

Winberies was our lunch destination for the day. We haven’t been there in many years and liked the renovation work. Both my wife and I opted for the Fish & Chips and I substituted the fries for a side salad. The fish tasted fresh and cooked just right with a light coating of the beer batter giving it a nice flakey texture. We had very good service and enjoyed our Winberies lunch

I’m literally in the bar...enjoying a nice sandwich and beer watching intently the US v. Guyana Gold Cup game. Bartender is great. Then they literally change all 4 of the TVs to something else. With 12 minutes to go in a 90 minute game. I guess I won’t have another beer. Yes, I could say something...but shouldn’t have to. Dear majshanmanThank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you were not able to finish watching your soccer game. Unfortunately, due to thunderstorms, we lost our Directv signal. I hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you better.Thank you

Kilkenny House

Had lunch here for the first time today. What a friendly atmosphere! The owner was chatting with everyone -he was terrific in making sure we had everything we needed. Our server was wonderful too. The menu offers everything from traditional Irish dishes to sandwiches and salads. The chicken pot pie was delicious (and the lunch portion was abundant). The "super salad" was filled with fresh mozzarella and breaded chicken in addition to fresh veggies, dried fruit and lettuce. Also tried the "spicy chicken" sandwich, which was delicious and served with a very generous portion of French fries. A great place to try if you are in the area, for sure. I would recommend highly.

Coda Kitchen and Bar

We visited Coda expecting great food and service. The food was ok. I enjoyed the shrimp soup and blackened chicken sandwich. Friends had the short rib grilled cheese which he raved about. The baby back ribs were a bit dry on the inside and quite saucy on the outside. The waitress was a bit abrupt at times and unnecessarily confrontational. For example my friend who was on a diet asked for a little slaw with his grilled cheese sandwich. The waitress said they didn’t have slaw. When the ribs came out they had slaw. Really!!Didn’t appreciate the non effort to make him happy over a few tablespoons of slaw. I blame mgt for that. Overall, Coda was OK. Will probably return.

But this one has my vote. Friendly owner, slow staff but delicious varieties of a multitude of coffees. Also have great large assorted flavor scones. Perfect in store, but does not reheat well the next day. Plenty of room to chill, breast feed a little one (yes) or surf the internet. No one rushes you to leave.

The food is very good. The service at times can be a bit slow, but overall very good.We went there during the St. Patrick's Day parade, and although the weren't serving food at that time, the bar was packed with Police and Fire Dept. personnel and the two bartenders where amazing, very attentive and on top of their game.

MoonShine Modern Supper Club

Went here with a few friends from the area. The appetizers decent, especially the charcuterie. The tuna tartare was overpowered by a very salty avocado mousse so I didn’t enjoy it. I ordered the pad Thai and it was a disaster. It tasted like vinegar and the chicken it was served with had been pounded to the consistency of shoe leather and the only thing you could taste was salt. It was served with peanuts but had no peanut flavor. Drinks were good and they do have a massive selection, especially beer. I won’t return. By the way, it seems like a lot of the 5 star reviews for this place are from individuals with very few reviews. Hmmmm.

Huntley Taverne

Reviewed By Judge_Smails-BR

Food and service was good however immediately after being seated for lunch all of the windows on the porch were opened which resulted in a significant amount of road noise and flys/bugs into the room. This was not conducive for a business lunch at all. At a minimum there should be screens on all windows.
