Discover Restaurants offering the best Bar food in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Springfield is perhaps best known as the birthplace of basketball and home of the Basketball Hall of Fame. (The story goes that local physical education teacher James Naismith invented the sport to fill the gaps between football and baseball seasons.) But this historic town on the shores of the Connecticut River is famous for a few other reasons and definitely worth a quick jaunt or weekend away. Springfield was the birthplace and home of beloved children's author and illustrator, Theodore Geisel, Dr. Seuss. In fact, the Zoo in Forest Park, a sure hit with the kids, is said to be the inspiration for many of his wild and wacky tales. Wander through the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, at the Quadrangle, for a look at the Cat in the Hat and Yertle the Turtle cast in bronze. The city served as a major arsenal during the Revolutionary War, a role that is commemorated at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, which displays an enormous collection of small pistols. History buffs will also enjoy the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, a tribute to the ordinary people of the region who, during various periods in time, did extraordinary things.

Came in with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. There was a decent crowd of mostly local people who seemed to know each other. Several TVs had a variety of sporting events. Food was good solid bar food & beer selection was decent. Beer could have been a few degrees cooler (wasn't warm but wasn't really cold either.)

Went with the wife and kids, burgers were very plain tasting not much flavor. I choose the cheddar potato puffs which had zero flavor also. The whole family agrees that the food had no taste. One plus was that the band playing on the outdoor patio was amazing!

Fine dining with German-themed food, beverages, and decor. Banquet Hall and Hunter's room available for private events.
Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Tables situated nicely with privacy and quiet enough for conversation. Food was delicious, authentic German with Polish influences. Wiener Schnitzel was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and return if ever in this area again. Kudos!!!Katy V. Glenville, NY

We had not been to Pizzeria Uno in years. The pizza was still excellent and the menu has a lot more variety than year's past. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Convenient if you are staying in the attached Hilton Garden Inn and very close to the Basketball Hall of Fame. A good affordable dining option for your family if you are visiting the area. The food is available as room service to the attached Hilton Garden Inn.

Some friends and I attended a small baby shower for a friend. The staff was very helpful with the arrangements and the afternoon of the shower was a great experience for all in attendance. We ordered off the menu. I enjoyed the Cal's chopped salad with mixed greens, garbanzo beans, carrots, cucumbers, red onions, avocado, cranberries, hard boiled egg and feta cheese with a generous grilled chicken. Everything was fresh and delicious. Loved the dressing. We will always keep Cal's on out list of places to visit.

Good times, made locally. So we had this idea. That food can bring people together in a bunch of different ways. Neighbors with neighbors. Locals with local ingredients. And bourbon lovers with bourbons worth loving. In 2006, our idea became; b Restaurant
We went two nights running to this ârestaurantâ - it is actually an adequate burger bar. 1st night wasFine. But 2nd night - Not Good!! Receptionist is on her phone most of the time. Friday is apparently DJ night but when you arrive they do not tell you that and you cannot hear yourself speak when it starts. We ended up having to eat outside so we could have any sort of conversation. Music outside is âparental guidance rap musicâ so it with your kids you want to hear âmotherf*****â many times then you are in the right place! On a Friday this place is loud, staff are rude, you cannot hear yourself speak, the music contains swearing, and the food is adequate. This is a true review from a very unsatisfied UK reviewer who has been all over the world!!! The manager was professional but completely unwilling to help in any way.Hi Gharris1, First and foremost, we would like to apologize for you Friday night dining experience with us. We can completely understand your frustration as loud rap music is not an ideal setting for a family dinner. In an effort to continuously improve we would like to gather some further details about your visit. If you could please message us back with your best contact e-mail, we would greatly appreciate it. Again, we do apologize and look forward to the opportunity of corresponding with you.

Hartford's premier restaurant group has opened in Springfield, Massachusetts at the newly renovated, state-of-the-art Basketball Hall of Fame, Max's Tavern promises to deliver the same dining experience that our Connecticut customers have come to know and
Max's is a favorite for business lunches. We have been here quite a few times. The booths are comfortable and provide a sense of privacy. The fish tacos were delicious, as was the chicken tortilla soup and the caesar salad with salmon. You can't go wrong by having lunch at Max's.

Funky BBQ and Blues joint. Freshly smoked meats. Live music five nights a week. 21 plus after 9pm
BEST BBQ I (we) ever had.Called ahead b4 our Trip to Springfield MA.We were staying over to see Aerosmith in town. They told us to get there at 5 when they opened. They were not kidding. People were waiting outside. We got in, and was met with a smell of fresh popcorn. Great start!!!!Our server was awesome!! Super friendly, and she told us that we should pre-order the burnt ends appetizer as we order our meals, as they will be gone. We wanted something for our midnight snack in our room after the show. Apps: Hubby ordered a cup of gumbo. He loved it.I ordered the bourbon wings. They are to die for!For my meal, I ordered half rack of baby back ribs.OMG, they were meaty, tender, and fell off the bone, had to pick up with a fork.sides: honey slaw, baked beans, onion rings, corn bread. All were awesome.Everything was served hot.Hubby ordered the brisket and absolutely loved it. Said it was the best heâs had.Very tender. His sides: same as me, aside from onion rings, he got the Mac ân cheese. He wasnât super jazzed about that, not creamy, cheese enough to his liking.Did not dismiss his meal, he loved everything else.Note!!!!! The baked beans, alone are beyond amazing. I would definitely recommend these.Huge portions. Took rest home from hotel, and we will have for dinner 2nite.We cannot recommended this place enough.Awesome food, Awesome service, Great vibe and energy, reasonable prices.GO!!!!
