Tried to get into some other places in the area and they wee filled, so we saw Hank's was empty. The place filled up about an hour later. The menu has a number of great selections of appetizers and food choices. They also have a pretty good selection of local beers and you can try the tower of beer (72 oz).

Huge restaurant with tons of choices. We had the best service ever as Brittany was so energetic and smiling and always offering wonderful suggestions to our every question. She was so very impressive and one of the best servers I have had in over two years. Great work Brittany and never change! We started off with chicken tenders, fried mozzarella sticks and shredded haystack and that was a pretty tasty appetizer combo. We had the pizza and pitcher of beer to share! Great deal and the pizza was tasty. The cheese and pepperoni was so good. And they have Wisconsinâs finest beer, Spotted Cow! I fell in love with this beverage. Amazing! It was a pretty wonderful evening and again the service by Brittany made it perfect.Enjoy Mineshaft Bar & Restaurant when in Hartford WI!
Pike Lake view from the dining room and big deck. Basic bar food, limited menu, good service, sand volleyball, nightly specials, great wings - breaded & fried-not greasy and served with your choice of sauces from mild to sweet to Flaming Hot!

A quaint dining experience for all season... a beautiful place to dine and drink. Located at the base of Little Switzerland Ski Hill. We specialize in homemade soups, sandwiches and Friday fish frys
This restaurant is attached to the Little Switzerland ski hill in Slinger, WI. Went on Friday evening at 4pm - well before Friday Fish rush, only 4 other tables occupied in the place. Service was super slow, had burgers and kids meals which took forever!! Burger was tasteless/no flavor at all, only 3 choices for kids meals (nothing great either). On top of the slow service and boring food, there are no FREE refills on soft drinks. What restaurant that has a bar does not offer FREE refills? Nothing on the menu is under $10, which I would be willing to pay more if the food was good. This place could be such a gold mine if the owners/operators hired friendly/helpful staff, a cook that can make great food fast and remember that customers will come back again and again if they FEEL valued!
Came to Raceway to try their Fish Fry ..... OUTSTANDING . Usually you find something to criticize but not here . EVERYTHING was Great ... Both the breaded fish and the baked fish were excellent , tarter sauce was flavorful , creamy coleslaw had great taste , potato pancakes and applesauce were crispy and flavorful , marble rye bread was soft and fresh and the tiny cream puff was a great finish . Service was fast and friendly , prices were fair . Gotta come back and try the burgers or a pizza .
Loved this place. Best fish fry around, best wine, and most awesome salads. Unfortunately they closed. They were leasing and the business agreement wasn't so agreeable.

Come and visit this beautiful historic landmark! Built in 1880 Timmer's Resort was totally remodeled in 2008 to restore the original charm of this lakeside dining and cabin resort. Our beautiful lodge has fire places in each dining room as well as beautif
My husband and I have been to Timmer's about 4 times in the past few years. Its popularity has grown and it is now hard to get weekend reservations several days in advance. Last weekend, we were only able to get one of two last reservation times when calling on a Thursday for Saturday evening. Earlier in May, they were completely full several days in advance also. Our late seating time relegated our party of six to the bar area that was very noisy. It was sometimes difficult to converse with our friends at our own table. Two of our chairs were strategically located on cold air vents, but we compensated by placing the menu books over the vents so we did not freeze indoors. The wait staff here is very knowledgable, helpful, and efficient. Menu has been slimmed down a bit with new ownership. Nightly specials are still offered but several of our chosen items were sold out by our 7:30 seating time. Canadian walleye is now lightly breaded instead of sauteed with almonds as in past. Other variations abound.I wish that the restaurant would utilize the large empty room to the east for weekend seating, though perhaps it's not so convenient for the servers. There is a serious capacity problem at Timmer's now, especially on Friday or Saturday evenings, so while most of our friends can only go on the weekends, I'd prefer to return on a weekday evening for a quieter, more sane setting and menu items that are still available when we choose them.Food, what was available, was very good. Servers were most accommodating, but small things like sold-out menu items, luke-warm--not hot--coffee (even after requesting a warm-up), and noisy ambiance caused the experience to be less than stellar. We had entrees at $32 and $31, & 1 dessert & coffee for $9 =$72 before tax and tip. No drinks this time. Entrees include soup or salad and a vegetable.

Had the lunch specials bluegill and Sherwood Turkey Sandwich, both were very good. Bluegill may have been a leftovers from Friday night fish fry as a couple pieces were a little fishy. Service was wonderful and quick, which one would expect at lunch when the place is pretty empty. If planning on dining on Fri or Sat night reservations is a must. Overall very nice place, food was good and hot, more of a deluxe fast food menu. Well worth a visit!! Enjoy!!

Sheyrlâs Club 175 is just off the beaten path on Highway 175 just due east of Highway 164 and south of the village of Slinger. The old brick limestone building beckoned us out of towners to come on in. Motorcycles were lined up in the parking lot as we pulled in and riders were walking out as we entered. The atmosphere inside was laid back with modern pop or âadult contemporary music playing in the background. The layout was wide open and yet there were nice sized rooms off to the side. A game room featured several machines for entertainment, pool tables, and other options for recreational activity. What really astounded me was the bar counter, it must have been ninety feet long and covered in aged copper. It was so impressive. The menu was typical and featured burgers, fish fries⦠and there were even nontraditional options for appetizers such as duck strips. Yes, not chicken strips but duck strips. Four of us ordered burgers with fries and kettle chips⦠and it was scrumptious. The service was great and the experience really added to our day of activities. Sheyrlâs Club 175 is a place beckoning for you to come in.

At The Slinger House, we strive to provide a unique, relaxing atmosphere to our guests while they enjoy a Friday Fish Fry, Prime Rib, or one of our cool "foodie" specials on Saturdays
I finally found a place that has a good fish fry in Washington county. Loved the fried haddock with selections of potato, and vegetable. I had the potato pancakes with coleslaw. Fish was done to perfection and was flaky.
