We have been coming to Beer for about 15 years and The Anchor with it's character and good food was always a highlight.Stopped in for dinner this evening and found it has all changes. Gone is the unique touch and decor. The woman who served my husband was rude and dismissive. Having been told the pie (on a Wednesday, their pie day) we fancied wasn't available, we opted for lasagne. Now it is hard to make a bad lasagne but this one took the award for the worst we have eaten! It was like only beef mince and lots of beef stock cubes had been used. No trace of tomato or herbs could be tasted, the sauce on the top gloopy. It was an unpleasant experience. Even the ladies toilets were dirty.Such a shame that a wonderful pub has gone downhill so much. We won't be returning to this one.

Lovely steak, great atmosphere and great value for money. Puddings were great and reasonably priced.

The Eyre Court Hotel is a small family run hotel conveniently situated in the middle of town only 150 metres from the famous Jurassic Coast. We are ideally positioned for you to explore this beautiful heritage coastline with cliff top walks or for you to
An all day opening pub for people who want to drink all day, and those in the building trade.Friendly service, good beer, lots of outdoor seating looking over the high street. Itâs not really for families, but itâs friendly and fun when you need that drink.

What a great place to drink and chill. No phones. Wow. Back to the old days when everyone spoke to everyone joked enjoying the selection of changing real ales gins & ciders. Great host & friendly staff. A must place to visit when in Seaton. Thanks

Very friendly atmosphere, attractive pub. We had a drink and then ordered some food. A good choice on the menu and we both enjoyed our meals - good pub grub. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection (rare) and my salad of prawns and crab with avocado was delicious. Both meals were huge, we have good appetites but neither of us could eat everything!

New bar, restaurant and venue open in Seaton! We have a range of drinks, with a Gin & Cocktail menu and delicious food served Tuesday - Sunday!
What a pleasure it was to find this gem open and serving food when others were closed. We were welcomed by lovely Lyndsey and were ever so grateful to find vegan food as well as meat and fish! Everyone in the group was happy :)

Popped into the Malt house for lunch, dogs welcome too, beautiful wooden beamed ceiling and a real "smugglers" atmosphere, plenty room for us and dogs, we chose a table in a corner by the window, lovely greeting form the two young lads working there, great menu and one of the lads taking our order also pointed out a full stein of dog gravy bones on the window for treats for our dogs, very thoughtful, right, lunch, I ordered fish and chips as I had a "craving" lol and missus ordered an open sandwich of brie and sun dried tomatoes, service was quick and wow, as you can see in the photos, both quantity and quality of the food was superb, I can whole heartedly recommend a visit to this superb pub.Prices also were a lot cheaper than we expected. All in all a superb pub we would love to visit again.

Cosy coffee shop and wine bar in the centre of a beautiful Devon fishing village of Beer. Open daily serving pastries, cakes, sandwiches, paninis and Devon Cream teas. Wine Bar offering top quality wines, Devon cider and local ales with nibbles. Baby chan
Visited for lunch as a family and tapas evening as a couple. Food mediocre at lunch not very imaginative, presentation poor. Tapas evening although a limited menu was quite tasty, huge portion nachos. Good value for money. The most disappointing thing about this coffee and wine bar was that some of the staff were disinterested in customers.....on both occasions staff on phones and didnt even look up when we entered the restaurant or when we went to pay . Very disappointing. Beware opening hours that are advertised not accurate out of season. Didnt open on mon or tuesday despite poster in window saying it was open!

Beer Head Bistro under new management since March 2018. Now run by Lauren and Nathan of Jurassic Coast Seafood.
We sort of stumbled across this place as we were approaching the car park at the end of a long walk along the coast. It was getting on for 7pm, 4 hungry adults and 2 babies and we didn't know the area that well. We almost walked on because from a distance it just looked like your typical caravan park cafe, and energy levels were running low. But we went up to have a look, were very pleasantly surprised by the decor and ambience and decided to give the food a go. We sat outside and the views are just wonderful (if you look beyond the caravans). The service was excellent - our waiter was friendly, helpful and speedy. There was a good selection of food and between us we had 2 pizzas (excellent), the burger with skin on chips (excellent) and the veggie dahl (which I didn't have but was told it wasn't really hot enough, temperature wise) This was possibly because we were sitting outside and it lost its heat very quickly. The prices were very reasonable - around £10+ for a main course, there were accommodations for vegans, and there were gf and lactose free options. If I was visiting the area again, I would definitely return. MUCH better than other nearby options. Overall a great find, and one I would recommend to anyone in the area.

We hadn't been in Seaton for a while but found The Terrace Arts Cafe as reliable as ever. My only complaint was that my meal was absolutely enormous! Beautiful chips, lovely salad and dressing. I bet loads of people don't realise it is veggie/vegan either!
