We came on a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was a delight. I had the turkey sandwich and fries. It was delicious. I will definitely come back!

The bartenders here are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill bartenders. They are true mixologist. The oyster monger as well is an excellent shucker. Drinks great and oysters cold and clean. The food is also amazing as well as the atmosphere.

After we finally got seated the waitress took forever and a day to take our order and she was not friendly at all. We waited a very long time for our food and in the meantime the waitress didn't stop by our table once to see if we needed anything or if we wanted refills on or beverages. Once the food finally came out we informed her she gave my boyfriend the completely wrong meal and reiterated what he did order. She looked at him as if he was lying, took the food and said it will be ready in a few. After another long wait she brings him yet again another completely wrong meal! We asked her what the problem was and she gave us a dirty look, took the plate and ran off. A few minutes later a manager came over and asked what happened. We explained and she didn't even take anything off the bill for what we did get and gave us a lousy $10 gift card. REALLY?!! Talk about adding insult to injury..like we would ever step foot in that overpriced place again. Not to mention the tables were pushed so close together you felt like you were dining with the strangers next to you.

Elegant place, especially considering the neighborhood. It could be more fancy or cosy but the bartender makes you feel at home quickly. Seating is OK, and cuisine is pretty good. Well constructed and nicely presented high end dishes at reasonable prices. It was the service that hit it out of the park this time: carefully dosed cranky tough love: to push the limits hard but never cross the line. That was professional job delivered very personably.

This restaurant looks nice, cozy, and comfortable on the inside. I would imagine, with all hard-wood interiors, that it gets very loud on a busy weekend dinnertime. We were the only people eating there for lunch on the day of our visit. The food was quite good--pear and gorgonzola salad and a Margherita pizza. The undoing of an otherwise-excellent experience was our server, who seemed utterly indifferent to our presence. She had ZERO other customers and was slooooooooow.

Cool spot overlooking the river in Rochester! It was packed with people. Food was ok, but certainly not gourmet. We all had a solid meal. Beer is all Genessee (well, itâs Rochester). âNuff said! Would absolutely come here again. Be prepared to wait , itâs busy on the weekends.

I had heard rave reviews of this spot, so when I got the chance for a free Tuesday dinner, I quickly walked downtown to this spot. First off, service was fantastic, and they quickly set me up with a few samples of local/fall beers. The Genesee Lemon Strawberry Cream Ale was fantastic, and I stuck with that. The staff was quick to make recommendations for food, and I settled on the two meat platter with pulled pork and brisket, with mac n cheese and baked beans. The platter came with a hunk of tasty cornbread, also delicious, and the sides were pretty solid. Didn't fall in love with the beans, but solidly good - the mac n cheese was excellent. The BBQ was clearly where it was at. The pulled pork was packed with flavor, with a light BBQ drizzle on top, and the brisket was thick-sliced with some jalapeños on top. So so good. Would happily come back often the next time I'm in town.
