We have been to this sports bar a few times over the last year and have never been disappointed. They offer consistently decent food and have a family-friendly atmosphere. The kids enjoyed the video game/basketball shot area and there are plenty of TVs around the entire restaurant to watch the game on. Service has always been friendly. The place is divided into 4 areas, bar, dining and another step down area for dining or private party. There is also a large outside patio with umbrellaed tables.

Not sure what to say about the service here. It has been all over the place. I have received very attentive service, mediocre service and a complete lack of service. The last time I was there, the bartender saw me but did not take any drink or food order and I had to go somewhere else to eat. Won't bother going back.Admittedly, the food here is better than expected for the type of place it is. The parking lot is usually packed with gamblers. They are inside betting on the races and on the five video gaming machines. Depending on the race outcomes, you will sometimes hear them yelling a stream of profanities if their bet didn't pay out. Classy! Good food, iffy service, crass clientele. Tons of TVs showing sports. That description should let you know if this is the type of place for you. Me? Probably would have loved it a lot more back in my 20s. Now? Not so much.Hi Brett, I thank you very much for your review. Any and All feedback helps us grow as a business. I would first like to apologize to you for the service you mentioned at the bar. If you could please email me ([email protected]) with a description of the bartender. That would help me address this issue. We definitely do not tolerate nor strive for that kind of service. As you mentioned, we have a lot going on being a sports bar and OTB, so we would like to make sure all guests have great food and service while visiting. I thank you for the wonderful comments on the food. We offer a chef driven, scratch cooked menu unlike many sports bars. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks and have a great day. -Vanessa Henderson (General Manager)

Used Park, Sleep, Fly to stay at the Baymont, Glenview and went down the street to try Johnny's. Very nice inside, very cozy, great ambiance. Ordered an Italian meal for both of us. It was delicious. The service was excellent and someone, an owner or manager came by to check on us. He added to the experience as we felt like we were back in Italy or Greece. We will be back.

Wife and I visited for a date night dinner experience on a Wednesday evening. We were greeted and seated by the hostess shortly after arriving. We did have reservations, but the place wasn't overly crowded at the time of our arrival. Waiter was professional and prompt with taking our drink and appetizer orders after we were seated. We tried the mashed potato ball appetizer, which was very good. Wife ordered and enjoyed the shepard's pie for her main course. I had the Connacht burger with mac n' cheese as the side. Burger was excellently cooked and toppings were wonderful.Pricing isn't cheap, but the portion sizes and quality of food exceed what you're paying for them. Wife ended up getting almost three meals worth out of her Shepard's pie (i.e., meal after restaurant and a couple lunches with the leftovers. Parking was a little problematic, since the restaurant is in the downtown Arlington Heights area. Fortunately, they are only about a block away from a parking complex if you cannot find a spot on the street outside their building.

Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Mount Prospect? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang o
This restaurant is attached to the Holiday Inn where we're staying so it was an easy choice for a light dinner. When we arrived, a little after 4, it was pretty empty and we grabbed a couple of chairs at the bar.Our server/bartender, Daneille, quickly reviewed the happy hour selections with us and took our order of boneless chicken wings, a chicken quesidilla and a couple of drinks.Soon we received our order and were pleasantly surprised by the portion size and the tastiness of the food. Our buffalo wings were just like we like them and came with delicious blue cheese dressing and veggies. The quesadilla was full of chicken and cheese and cooked to perfection. Total yum!By the time we left the place was almost full with a good mix of locals and people from the holiday. This is a fun restaurant with great food, great prices and a good vibe. Not to mention the excellent service from Daniellle. We will definitely be back!

I travel a lot and review many places in TripAdvisor. This place is amazing. I donât rave often. Their manager, Lou, suggested pizza and burgers when I arrived but I wanted something a little heartier. If their pizza and burgers were recommended, they may be heaven. Because their ribs were the greatest Iâve had anywhere. Their steak was fantastic. The fish tacos were great too. The ribs, though, were out of this world. They fall literally off the bone. I was not in a great mood because of a missed connection that left me stranded in Chicago. But this place was so good, Iâm almost ok with the detour and lost day. It is an incredible place and itâs highly recommended from a curmudgeon.

Salsa 17 Grill & Margarita Bar unites an enjoyable atmosphere, gourmet dishes, delicious drinks, and a knowledgeable staff to provide a delightfully satisfying authentic Mexican dining experience. We use the best quality ingredients in preparing the fines
I live near Harvard and my best friend lives in Chicago. This is a perfect mid-point for us to both take the train and meet in Arlington Heights. There are quite a few very good dining spots here, but Salsa 17 has become our favorite. Not the least reason is a server, Marisol, that we've been lucky enough to have most times we're there. The prices are just a scooch high, but not enough to go somewhere else. The Margaritas are terrific, incuding a "skinny" low cal version. I've had several dishes, and everyone has been very good, so have no apprehension at ordering your favorite, feeling confident that it will be satisfying and filling. I can't pick a favorite yet, I'm still experimenting with something different every time we go.Tableside prepared Guacamole is very tasty and fresh. Even when very crowded, service is good and attentive.

Where to eat American food in Prospect Heights: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Blackfinn Randhurst Grill is now a locally owned and operated community gathering spot. We offer high quality Modern American Fare with incredible value. Catch your game on one of our many TV's in our Pub Tap Room which offers 48 great craft beers, or cat
We were seeking somewhere new, despite having our family favorites, and ventured over to the new Randhurst center development. Movie theater, many restaurants including outdoor dining, Costco, Home Depot, TJ Maxx and more. While it was fairly quiet in a Sunday eve, you could tell itâs likely hopping on Friday and Saturday nights! The temperatures were 90+ so we opted to eat inside. They had both a bar side and a restaurant side. Bar side definitely livelier, both had big televisions with baseball on. Our food was fine, nothing over the top special, but very standard bar-type food...nachos, burgers, salads, sandwiches and more. We ate up everything. The fries had a battered coating, the cheese on the nachos was a cheese sauce instead of melted shredded but tasty nonetheless. With all the choices in this area, Iâd definitely return if another place had too long of a wait. Otherwise, Iâd try another of the many options in this new neighborhood hangout.
