The Green Valley Country Club is an 18 hole championship course, located in picturesque Portsmouth, RI. Known as Newport's finest semi-private country club, it is open to the public.Green Valley is not only known for its beautiful and challenging course,
Green Valley CC is a certainly a well maintained public golf course. It is pretty open and really not too difficult. The rates are mid to upper range, not inexpensive but not real pricey. The other players and staff were rather indifferent [and mostly unfriendly] to us non-members. [PS: We are Seniors, were dressed properly in good golf attire, and were very respectful of the game and the course.] The biggest fault of the course layout was the total lack of "signage" to indicate what hole we were playing, how far it was to the pin [had to refer to the scorecard] from the tee box, fairway yardage, and EVEN directions to the next hole. Absolutely nothing was marked and this is very annoying for those of us not familiar with the course. I do not believe we will return if we are again in the area.

Our family was in Newport for a wedding. We heard about this awesome beach bar and decided to check it out. The entire staff was amazing! They were all super friendly and accommodating to our large group. The food was great and the outside area w/corn hole and ring toss made it that much better. I would totally recommend going to this "family-friendly" bar if you are ever in the Portsmouth/Newport area!!! Our only regret was not being able to stay for the band.

We enjoyed an assortment of draft and bottled libations. I'd skip the appetizers though, they were disappointing.

Welcome to the Bristol Oyster Bar! We are happily nestled in the heart of downtown Bristol, Rhode Island in an historic building that has served as a Customs House, Post Office, and the YMCA. The 1857 brick building provides us with massive windows, tall
Recent had dinner as a party of six with three adults and three children. Service was prompt an attentive. Menu had many options from oyster and shellfish, to fish, to meat and poultry. Also great diversity of portion sizes from appetizers, to sandwiches and entrees.

We stopped at Graziano's 501 while traveling through Rhode Island and found good food and friendly service. We started with Clam Chowder which was the best I've ever had. We then had fish and chips and scallops. Both were very good and the staff were very friendly. Seemed to be a locals place which was just what we were looking for.

I've driven past the Valley Inn hundreds of times and just assumed it was, well, an "Inn". While looking at Portsmouth restaurants on Trip Advisor, I saw my mistake. It has been a restaurant operated by the same family for decades. We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Now don't be put off because the building needs a little TLC, it does have a lot of character! The dining room is cozy in a kind of colonial rustic theme with old beams, a large fireplace and the a decent sized bar. The owner came to the table to welcome us soon after we were seated and came over again as we were finishing to see how we liked it. They have live music on weekends too.We started with a Margherita pizza as an appetizer, with the three of us eating all but two slices. It was delicious but we soon regretted having eaten so much. The menu prices may seem a bit steep but then you realize that everything is included. You get a stuffie, salad and soup with your entree so pace yourself! The French Onion Soup by the way is excellent. I had the Baked Haddock special, my wife had the Steak au Poivre (a really big cut) and our son had the Pan Seared Scallops. So glad we stopped by, delicious!

Stopped here for a late lunch on a reccomendation. Greeted by friendly & attentive staff was just the beginning. The food was amazing - the BEST Little Necks & Pasta I have ever had. Not soupy but full of clams & garlic. Stuffed shrimp special was equally as delicious. We Will Be Back

First visit. Off the beaten path. Free parking.Potentially good sunsets.Good staffing.Large menu with as Cajun and Caribbean twist. We had two of their specialty drinks (they are big on rums) - "Rum Runner" and "Passion Margarita". Well priced ($10) and generous size. First was a winner; the latter lacked the mezcal flavor.Split the nachos with "debris" (their take of the classic beef trimmings of Mother's in New Orleans). A large portion (enough for 3 to split), tasty, and maybe more heat than some would like.Entrees were the cheese board (OK but nothing special) and gumbo. The latter appeared to be small but it was a more than filling dish. More creamy than the standard preparation but very good.Overall a good spot that we'll visit again. Damages with tip was about $85.

We are a seaside, American restaurant with stunning views of the Sakonnet River. Available for dine-in or takeout. Water views on both sides, outdoor patio, in-house catering, live entertainment in beautiful Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Food is consistently good, friendly service & generous portions!Tonight we sat outside on the patio overlooking the Sakonnet River seeing as it was such a lovely night. Our server, Ashley, was super sweet and very friendly! Hubby and I each started with clam chowder. I had an order of steamers (very good) and he had fried calamari with banana peppers & a marinara sauce (very good as well).

We were leaving the hustle and bustle of Newport and stopped here for dinner on a whim. WOW, the food was sooooo good.... the service was great and we were very happy. On our way out the wait was very long apparently it's a big local spot. Definitely come by for a great meal. For an appetizer 3 main courses and 3 desserts plus soft drinks was sound $130. I would say relatively typical for the area. YUM!!!
