Nice country pub..... good food......well presented....Service ? ...... Excellent..... the young guy behind the bar served our drinks quickly and efficiently......sorted us out a table ,menu's etc. While at the same time dealing with other customers drinks..... he cleaned our table ..... he took our food order.... he brought and served our food .... when we had finished he even cleared our plates away...... all despite dealing with 10 other diners and several other drinkers..... I do hope they are paying him enough...because if he leaves, this business will fold ...Don't let anyone tell you the younger generation are shiftless....this lad worked like a Trojan , friendly attitude and not a word of complaint despite doing the work of three.

Personally wouldn't book a table for this place as it's not somewhere you'd want to sit and have a family meal. Bad service.Really bad organisationSeemed like the staff couldnt handle the workload and were a bit miserable.Poorly cooked food. Will not be returning.Hi there Aimee. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. I’m terribly sorry to hear that your meal with us wasn’t up to the expectations that we strive to achieve with every customers visit. I am sad to hear that we have lost your custom but will do my best in personally seeing to where we went wrong during your visit with us. I really do hope that you may give us another chance one day. Many thanks,Georgia,Supervisor.

The Unicorn on the Beach is a new pub and restaurant overlooking the Porthtowan dunes and beach, set up by a team that lives for food, drink and hospitality. We offer a relaxed and beautiful space for drinks and snacks, breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner
On arriving at the Unicorn we felt the atmosphere was warm and friendly with a busy buzz even at 6pm on a Friday evening. We were very impressed with the amazing brill, perfectly cooked, the crab etc platter and the burger. We will certainly go there again and again especially as it is dog friendly tooThank you Christine for taking the time to leave your review. We're thrilled you had a great visit with us and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Soon as we walked in we were welcomed warmly. The restaurant has a nice luxurious feel & the atmosphere was really pleasant. We had 3 courses & every one delicious, not a single complaint about the food. Just the right quantities too, not too much to leave you stuffed, not too little to leave you hungry. Went into the lounge after, live band was great, jazz & acoustic music. Real nice end to the evening, cant wait to go back again. Elegant setting, staff that couldnt be any more helpful & upbeat, amazing food, bar manager who knows his drinks like a legend, amazing evening

Having been here for the last two cornish holidays we decided we had to come back again. Not once but twice, although daughter and her boyfriend made 3 trips. As usual the food was excellent and of a large portion but not too expensive. On the Friday we came later and they managed to find room for 5 at late notice. We were treated to some live entertainment, although due to a 30 min drive to our holiday accommodation we only stayed until 10.00pmHighly recommended, and a must sample place.

The Waterfront Inn sits on a secret beach in Portreath, Traditional English pub and restaurant specialising in local fresh fish.
My wife and I wanted to have fish and chips for dinner but fortunately The Atlantic was shut, so we went to the Waterfront Inn. We we both ordered the fish, chips and peas and had a drink while we waited for our food. When the food arrived the portions were huge. I don't know about a piece of battered cod more like a battered whale! The batter was really crispy and light and the fish was white and meaty and there were more chips and peas than we could eat. I had Skinners Lushingtons PA to drink it was a very good pint and my wife was happy with her glass of chardonnay.Good pub, good food, good drinks and excellent staff. If you want fish and chips in Portreath it may pay to make this pub your first call.

We were spoiled for choice on this menu! Lots of attractive combinations, including vegan options, served beautifully, in the same price range as standard pub grub. We ate and drank very well indeed. I recommend the quail. It’s got flat access and space between tables, making it easy for a wheelchair user.
