Weâve been running up and down the coast now for two weeks. As a result, Iâm Seafood out. Iâm really looking for some heart stopping, artery clogging, home grown beef. My answer came in the form of The Publix Kitchen and Bar. This is a modern cafe with a farm to table commitment. Our waitress, Terri, did a yeomanâs job filling us in on the restaurants philosophy and giving us a verbal tour of the facility. She would be an asset in any culinary setting. I had my heart set on a well marbled rib eye but unfortunately this was not available for lunch. But what they did have were huge hamburgers with beef from their own herds, accompanied with lettuce and tomato grown in their gardens. And they threw on Mozzarella cheese just in case the medium rare beef didnât initiate the heart attack. The sandwich was so big, I was forced to eat it with a knife and fork. But trust me, the beef patty was actually meat. Not having her fill of sea food, my lovely wife ordered shrimp and grits with chorizo sausage. This was at least her 3rd order of shrimp and grits over this 14 days and she is declaring it the best by far. I can only say it looked delicious. Had I been from New York, I would have taken a picture of it. The restaurants a gem. The wait staff is fabulous and the food is everything you want and expect from a 5.

We were in Savannah for 2 nights and after eating the usual steaks & burgers for the past 10 days we thought we would try some typical pub grub. The four of us went in on the first night which was a Friday and a young lady served us who was very pleasant and attentive. Between us we had Shepherds Pie, Fish & Chips and Chicken Pot Pie which was all excellent. As we enjoyed the food so much and there was nice atmosphere we all agreed that we would go back for a second night. Oh what a mistake. We were served by a guy who took our drinks order then followed on with the food order. My wife decided to have something light so went for a Caesar Salad. Well it came out and consisted of some course outside greens with a sprinkling of Parmesan Cheese. My wife called the server back to ask if that was it and where were the Croutons on the menu, to which the reply was â yes but we havenât got any Croutonsâ.So we said âyou donât expect us to pay $9 for this do youâ Although there was no reply it was knocked off the bill. The first bill we got had two wines on it, one at $6 and one at $9 which we had consumed together with 3 coffees which we had not. We called the server across and pointed this out and we then got a new bill with the coffee knocked off but one wine had now increased to $12. As we were getting nowhere with the server I approached the bar and pointed out the bill discrepancies to the guy behind the bar who was most belligerent and offered no explanation. We felt they were trying to recoup the losses for the Caesar Salad. If you walk in and a young lady is the server then you have a good chance of good service and a good meal. If itâs a scruffy guy in a kilt, go elsewhere. Thanks for coming in and taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about your second visit not being as good as your first. We strive for the best possible service and sounds like we dropped the ball here. I will be discussing this issue with my staff. Did you happen to ask for the manager? We definitely would have wanted to make things right for you. I hope you'll give us another chance down the road

Love this place & will certainly be going back next time I am in Savannah. Amazing decor & wonderful service, I had the grilled cheese sandwich with Swiss, Gouda, Cheddar & cranberry jam paired with the roasted tomato & basil soup with Gouda cheese sauce, absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. I so highly recommend & cannot wait to try other dishes on their menu next time I am visiting. I had lunch with four friends & everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food.

Boar's Head Grill & Tavern, Savannah's first restaurant on Historic River Street, has been a favorite for locals and tourists the past 50 years. Locally owned and operated by Chef Philip & Charlene Branan, Boar's Head offers casual, waterfront dining in
Great food, good service; lovely ambiance. My wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine, the shrimp and grits appetizer, she crab soup, and a filet with barbecue shrimp. The wine by the bottle is very fair priced. The appetizer and soup were delicious. The filet and shrimp were also good. The steak was prepared properly. All in all, a very good to excellent experience. Would certainly return.

We ate here on a Saturday evening. We had researched restaurants âoff the beaten pathâ and Prohibition was listed. Not sure why, considering their location. However, we were glad to have found them. We also made reservations ahead of time. Upon entering the restaurant, the atmosphere took us to the early 1900âs. The decor was very nice.We had ordered from the âRestaurant Weekâ menu, which allowed us an opportunity to sample their dishes. For our appetizers, we had the Brussels Sprouts and the Burrata Salad. For the main courses, the Pork Chop and their take on Shrimp and Grits. Our desserts were Peach Cobbler and a slice of Dark Chocolate Tart (I recommend having coffee with the tart). Our meals were incredible. The Pork Chop was very tender, the Shrimp and Grits was amazing. I also had ordered a Brown Derby cocktail, two in fact. The cocktails were delicious and most importantly, consistent. Our server was attentive and provided excellent service. On our next trip to Savannah, we will return here to try other dishes on their menu. If you want fresh and delicious meals, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating here.

Really good food - we had the fried chicken pot pie which was unique and yummy! The fried chicken on biscuit with gravy was really good too. Good service and mellow on the patio in mid afternoon.

MUST BE 18 YEARS TO ENTER Located in Savannah's Historic District, Jazz'd has set itself apart. A sultry underground hot spot unique to anything else in Savannah. Described as swank, sexy & sophisticated. This industrial chic restaurant offers more than j
WOW ! What a great hidden gem. This downstairs tapas bar was amazing. A really cool decor and great bar. There was live music but not too loud so you could have a conversation. They had some really inventive specialty drinks but the real star of this show is the food. These small tapas plates were bigger than most and allowed us to try and share several delicious dishes without spending a fortune. The Lamb Chops were out of this world. If we go back to Savannah we will definitely go here again. From our atmosphere to the lamb chops, we're thrilled everything impressed, Michael. Hoping to have you back our way again next time you're in town! Best wishes,Brian and Julie, Owners

We stopped in for drinks following our dinner at the Olde Pink House. This place is very cool. It's in the basement level of the Olde Pink House and has very low ceilings, stone walls, etc. It feels like you're in on a great secret. There was live piano music and there were candles lit along the bar. It's dark and cozy and a great place to visit.

Always a pleasure to visit this establishment. I try to make it whenever I am within driving distance of this restaurant. Unfortunately it is never often enough. Their steaks are always great, and their salads are worth the trip.Service is impeccable and extremely friendly. Well worth the effort to visit anytime.
