As the name suggests, the Good Dog is a really small bar, but with a good selection of local brews, and friendly service. Not much more to state really, but worth going to if you need to lose some time!

We enjoyed a delicious and filling dinner, and hope to come back in order to sit in the beer hall dining room, which seemed more festive. Our server was pleasant and helpful, although her estimation of how much the sausages weigh was quite incorrect...I think they weight more like 8 ounces each, not four. But we had six varieties and liked them all, especially the one with 7 herbs and the one with lamb. The sauerkraut was excellent, as was the potato salad. Two other folks had veal schnitzel, which also got rave reviews. One had the pepper sauce, which was excellent. The strudel was good. The only downside we felt was the pretzel, which was dense and just not as good as in Germany! And the spaghetti and meatballs ice cream is really not worthwhile. The beer was great of course, as was the selection.

Ridiculous assortment of bottled and draft beers at Monk”s Cafe that will satisfy the most obnoxious beer snob, but this place is so chill and comfortable that non-beer snobs need not be afraid. My bartender was awesome, quick with refills and suggestions for whoever wanted one. His descriptions of the beers were a little over the top but whatever. Make sure you get the fries, errr, pommes frites. Five stars easy, if you like beer you have to come to Monk’s.

Atmosphere: dark, clubby, eclectic. Reminded me of Austin or San Francisco. Food: excellent food and most had some spice to it. Vegetarian options and big portions. Drinks- great beer selection and my sazerac was on point. Service: We didnt have to wait for anything but it wasnt overly friendly either. That may just be a big city thing. I would come here all the time if I lived close!

Tria Cafe

Philly's favorite place for wine, cheese and beer.

We came here for drinks, and their wine list is fairly extensive and comes with detailed descriptions of each wine, which I love. The kitchen had already closed when we arrived, which is unfortunate - when people are drinking, it would be nice to at least have small snacks (like peanuts) available, especially at an upscale bar/restaurant. Otherwise, though, this establishment was very nice.Thank you for visiting Tria Taproom, and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit! And thank you for the kind review. Also, I appreciate your comments on the kitchen being open later. Hope to see you on your next trip to Philly!

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and a drink. We were just walking by and thought it looked good. We each ordered a drink and then checked out the menu. Nothing really caught our attention and it seemed really pricey. We ordered a shrimp appetizer. It was a little overcooked but tasted ok. We decided to try lunch elsewhere. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your comments are appreciated and valued, as they help us provide all of our guests with a first-rate experience. It was a pleasure to host you and we hope we may welcome you back in the near future.

It was an OMG experience. Both nights we ordered Dogfish Head IPA, oyster shooters, ginger beer, fried calamari, salad (1st night), fried shishito peppers (2nd night), and the piece de resistance, grilled whole Branzino fish which was accompanied with risotto and a green curry sauce. On the second evening, we asked if the chef could make the green curry sauce spicier and he did! This was one of the most incredible, memorable meals we've had. Both nights, the bill totaled slightly less than $100.. terrific value. We liked this restaurant much more than the nearby seafood restaurant. Highly recommended.
