Shipwreck Tavern is located across from the beach in Bayville Long Island with beautiful views of the water. Shipwreck serves fresh seafood as well as steaks, burgers, pasta and more. There are 2 outside decks and a tiki bar serving exotic tropical drinks
We were on the Bayville Beach and walked across the street for an early dinner. We had been here before and liked the place. Our server, Emily was very sweet. We sat outside for the drinks and appetizers but then the bees started coming so we went inside. We had hummus served with olives and pita bread- very tasty. I was not happy with paying $12 for a glass of Chilean Wine ( written as from 'Chili' on the menu- lol)I wish there had been a 'house Chardonnay' for a lesser price. The rest of our food was fine and at the hour we were there (5PM), the place was quiet. I would like to offer a suggestion- a Happy Hour menu would be awesome. Now for the but....... Before leaving I went to the Ladies' Room- OMG- gross me out!!!! Glad I had not gone there before my meal cause I would have lost my appetite. Not only was the toilet full of 'unmentionables' but it would not flush. I mentioned this to a staff member and he said he would tell the Manager. I used the Men's room and asked my husband to watch the door. Sanitary conditions are an important part of a restaurant.

We are located on a beautiful golf course in Glen Cove.
The place has some great atmosphere, nice views overlooking the golf course and the water. Chef Janine is well respected in the community. BUT.... The service is quite poor and the food is very inconsistent. Donât even bother with the snack shack outside the restaurant the older woman there has no personality and and a very thick accent. You are destined to get a stale moldy roll with your egg sandwich or your hamburgerWe are sorry in your opinion you feel our service is slow and our food is inconsistent, we have just celebrated six years and I am really proud of our food we serve and our staff. We book many parties as well as having many return customers, and really feel we have been doing a great job. as for the snack shack I really feel a accent should not make a difference. We live in a country were there are many different accents, The snack bar is a convenience for the golfers, if theres a problem I would have hoped someone would have reached out to me. But I can certainly garentee you it will be looked into Again thank you for you feedbackSincerely Jeanine and Fred DiMenna

Ordered lobster taco as an appetizer which was supposed to have all these wonderful ingredients and spices I donât know what I got but it wasnât what was described. Same with the fishermanâs platter, it sounds great on the menu, Iâll give them this it was $50 on the menu,on the high side, right? With all those ingredients, lobster shrimp, scallops and clams what could go wrong? Ugh! I think they actually hired a chef who thought of ways to kill the dish.My advice, grab a chair sit on the deck have a cocktail and eat somewhere else!

We went with another couple for "Sunday Brunch", we started w/ MIMOSAs, BLOODY MARYs & IRISH SODA BREAD which were all very good. I had "EGGS FLORENTINE" which was superb, my wife had "Three EGGS, Canadian Bacon, Rye Toast". Both of our friends had OMELETTES: one was "Spinach, Cheddar & Tomato"; the other was "Mushrooms, Ham, & American". They both said their omelettes were perfectly cooked & very tasty. The "Home Fries" that came with all dishes were delicious. We also had an order of "BLUEBERRY PANCAKES" to split among all of us. We thought they were great & enjoyed them. Gaby was our Server & she was excellent. The atmosphere was great & the decorations are very neat with Cable Cars & Ski Lifts stretching from above a set of booths to the wall. I wonder if the Winter Scenes are changed with seasons, I suppose we will have to come back for another visit to find out.

We had a great dinner here this week. Everything about this place is first rate. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed our meals. Get the duck empanadas for an appetizer. I gad the swordfish which was grilled and served over s tomato and celery salad. It was wonderful. The cocktails are good and decently strong and itâs light and airy inside. We will be back.

We give people great food, selections, drinks and service in a casual atmosphere at a reasonable price
We were two couples, each individual with very different tastes The menu was extensive, creative and tantalizing, the wait service and wine list excellent. Our waiter Andy was great . The home-made ice cream was unusually good, with generous proportions.

Since 1896 The Homestead Has been in Oyster Bay serving Great classic American food and a social meeting place for the community.
We had gone to the Planting Fields and came here for an early dinner. It was nice and quiet for a Saturday. Our waitress was really nice. I got the steak sandwich and my gf got the bone-in rib eye with fries and veggies. Both were great! The steak had a nice flavor on my sandwich. It wasn't bland at all. For dessert we got the peanut butter explosion and chocolate cake. The peanut butter was delicious and the cake was very chocolaty, but a little dense. Overall decent prices, a lot of menu choices and a nice atmosphere.

Mill Creek's one of our go-to places around the North Shore. The food is always great, staff is friendly and the place is cozy and well decorated. Bayville's a cute town and there's no way to get to MCT that doesn't involve a nice scenic drive along either Oyster Bay or the LI Sound. They have a menu with plenty of options from land-based to seafood, very good specials and nights with themes (Bavarian is really good). Good selection of drinks and beers on tap including local options round out the options. Well worth the trip!Thank you so much for that awesome detailed review. We greatly appreciate it and we appreciate you!! With Gratitude - Rich

Weâve been here at least a dozen times over the last few years, and we are never disappointed. Terrific beer selection and great food. Whether you want a salad or a full on dinner, the food never disappoints.
