Just had Sunday dinner at the Black Horse and thoroughly enjoyed it.The roast beef was perfect, melt in the mouth, and the mixed veg nice and al dente. We'd been recommended to try this pub and can see why it is getting a good reputation.

Real Ale House, situated 5 minutes from centre of Otley. Visited there on several occasions. Vast selection of Real ales and several largest. Open fire very warming and welcoming. Pleasant friendly staff. By the look of the layout, it was once a house, little rooms add to the atmosphere. Pet friendly, well worth a visit when visiting Otley.

We called in on the way to friends for dinner and ordered two Chimay Blue's. They were placed on the bar in front of us and opened. Both immediately started overflowing. This was because they had been in the fridge and not served at room temperature as required. Two incorrect shaped glasses were given and change received. No offer to pour. Surely the staff should be trained how to keep and serve bottled beers. Not a pleasant experience for nearly £12.Hi there chevin47Thank you for your review of the Horse & Farrier following your recent visit, although we are sorry to learn of your disappointment. We appreciate all feedback and have taken your comments onboard. We put a lot of effort and pride into our beer qualities, and how we store them, and should we have known your preference, we would have been more than happy to serve you bottles kept from our bottle store and started the pour for you. We hope this experience hasn't put you off returning to the Horse & Farrier as we would love to welcome you back again.Kind regardsLaurenMarketing Coordinator

The Chevin Inn is a cosy pub situated off Buckle Lane, Menston on the top of West Chevin Rd.We have a large carpark with one of the best views in Yorkshire.A decking area as well as picnic benches under our ancient apple trees. We serve homemade good food,
mmmm.....where to begin ?Weâre local and this was our âgoto for a special occasionâ. Iâm pretty sure last time the Chevin was a sister restaurant to the Stansfield in Apply Bridge. Now, from the website itâs âowned by Richard, Faye and Charlie, along with Mark, Steve and their childrenâ.Iâve read a few of the latest TripAdvisor reviews..... and maybe theyâd had an off evening ?Still, TripAdvisor is about your visit, on the day. Upon arrival things looked okay. A few were at the bar having a beer etc and we were shown to our table. The nice young lass asked for drinks and weâd a fun conversation on gin, itâs varietyâs and then the same with the tonic. The two blokes settled for a beer, which was good....as were the G&Tâs. We got the menus, which had a different feel and choice. The ladies are fish lovers, so to fine the muscles and scallops had just finished, was not a good start. So we divided into the mains, the other starters werenât that interesting. A salmon, ceaser salad, black & blue burger and a fillet steak. There was certainly some wait, around 30-40 mins before they arrived and then there was a pause before each came. The best was the ceaser salad !! The salmon and steak were good but ânothing specialâ the burger was okay. The fries were not that hot. Weâd, joking, reserved a jam rally polly to ensure this didnât runout.....and it was nice. Our table was near, what must have been the access to the living accommodation upstairs.....it was like sat outside the Gents with the number of coming and goings. Itâs such a shame. This was a great place, super service, friendly and best guaranteed good food. From the listing of Richard, Faye and Charlie, along with Mark, Steve and their children maybe thereâs just too many cooks spoiling the broth. Weâll give em time to re group before our next visit for sure.

A beautiful building with 200 years of history as a public house. Open fires, beams, stone floors, fantastic outside seating, exceptional quality fresh food, great selection of dishes and drinks. Professional, friendly and welcoming team.
Have been to the White Hart twice in a month to celebrate family birthdays. The food is very good, it can be busy and service today was slower but with apologies from the staff. The only thing I would say is that we booked a table for 5 today several weeks ago and were shown to a small table. When we asked if we could be moved due to lack of room the waitress was quite unprofessional and defensive and basically told us there were no other tables. We could see empty tables and were moved to another table and received good service from another waitress. There was no need for this attitude. I think sone customers would have left at this point. Glad we stayed but one member of staff let the white hart reputation down today. Unnecessary!Hi Dave,Thank you so much for your feed back and i am so glad you ended up enjoying your meal.See you again soon i hope,The White Hart

We are a local community pub with separate Bar and Lounge. Barry and Linda Tomlinson are the landlord and landlady with a complete hands on approach . All food is locally sourced and prepared to the highest specification. We are located on the North side
We went for a birthday meal. The staff call you forward when everything is ready at the carvery. There was a choice of beef, ham and turkey or you could ask for all three. The roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and roast parsnips were served and the staff were a bit stingey with these, but not with the meat. The rest of the vegetables were serve yourself along with sauces. The meal was hot, well cooked and really appetising. Good value at £8.95. Well done. I have also heard good things about the Thursday pensioners meal at 4.95 on a Thursday lunchtime, including a drink.

Welcome to The Hopper Lane Hotel, we are a privately owned, family run Hotel, Pub and Restaurant located in the countryside village of Otley, between Harrogate, Leeds and Bradford. Weâre a family friendly place and offer a warm welcome, we can even cater
Popped in at lunch during the UCI world cycling championships. Staff very friendly and lots of local cyclists also having a bite before the race passed through. Could do with a cake selection in addition to the dessert menu but otherwise quite the find. Lovely info leaflets detailing the pubs history too!

Lovely pub with a great lunchtime menu. We walked here from the Chevin hotel, about 10 mins away. Recommend the fish finger sandwich, which was huge, served with great skin on chips, salad and coleslaw. Service was first class and the food was piping hot. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff - would certainly recommend, and even though it was busy, it did not feel busy.

A lovely afternoon Stew at a fantastic price. Food was delicious, £19 all in for 2 of us!!! Dog friendly, which makes it a very sociable place to eat. My only slight criticism would be the level of staffing. The two gents in today were lovely, friendly and fun. However, you could clearly tell they were short staffed. Long wait to be served which was frustrating, a couple more employees would have given the 5 stars.Thank you Phil for your review. We are really glad you found your meals to be delicious! We have taken your comments on board and we are reviewing our staffing levels. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

A traditional Yorkshire Pub serving honest Yorkshire Fayre, Cask Ales,Continental Beers and fine wines with views over the Wharfe Valley
Went here for a meal last week after my daughter graduated in Leeds. It was by our estimation a very average meal. Service was satisfactory and the food was well presented but we felt it lacked really good flavours and imagination. We all had various items from the menu but non of them were to get excited about, It all felt a little bit ordinary. The environment is pleasant and the view from the outside terrace is beautiful. To improve this place we felt, careful purchasing, more imaginative use of ingrediants and culinary skills, could make this a great venue.
