You would never know this place existed when you pull in the little Rainbow Inn Motel. The decor on the inside is very modern and classy. There are multiple HDTV's going. There is plenty of comfortable seating where you are not right on top of people. Nice place to have a private conversation without the noise of a typical downtown bar. They have a ton of really unique beers (IPAs, Pilsners, Stouts, Weisse Beers) on tap and more to choose from in the fridge. Also they have a nice selection of bourbons, whiskeys, tequila. The food choices have really increased in the last year. They have fantastic tapas, chimi wings, not your average type burgers and some main courses that will knock your socks off. Like mussels, clams, shrimp in a broth with special bread to dip. Among others. If you are looking for an off the beaten path, cool place to get a drink and relax and have some tasty food then try My Father's Place. You will not be disappointed.

I ate here regularly, when I was a college student in town 30 years ago. Recently passed back through Oneonta and had to try it again. The food was excellent. Great to see the Autumn Cafe still going strong decades later!

We stopped in for kunch. The bartender was friendly and helpful on describing both their own craft beers as well as a handfull of excellent 'guest' beers. Menu has a nice selection of appies and entrees that work well with the beer, but we ordered lunch specials off the chalkboard...roasted beer tacos and a surprisingly well flavored murgh sagwalla Indian entree. Large portions with excellent chutneys and garnishes for both. We're in town all week and will definitely be back.

We celebrated a birthday on the same weekend as the winter graduation for SUNY Oneonta and the place was packed! (So glad we called ahead!). We had a fabulous meal and despite a completely full house, the service was excellent!

This review is a month late, as my son's wedding was in mid June. But I needed to write this as Chris and his crew,(Caryn especially), deserved this recommendation. The back story is that my husband and groom went to pick up an order for ribs, barbecued chicken breast and some sides that was going to feed our visiting family of 20+ people. Somehow there was a miscommunication as to when we were to have the sides, as we ordered the same for the wedding recital the next evening. My husband was stressed and upset at the moment but Chris remained professional and calm. The next order was exactly as we ordered it and in preferred containers for the longer drive to the wedding venue. The food was delicious and a big hit with both groups and even members of the family that hail from Texas and Oklahoma thought the ribs were excellent. Thank you, Chris. You have won some loyal customers.
