Long-running Pittsburgh-born chain known for sandwiches piled high with coleslaw & french fries.
Our group arrived hungry at lunch time. I had heard about Primanti's from locals a couple years ago, so when I was in the Pittsburgh area, decide to try it.Our group got the Carnegie sandwich, Angus Sirloin Steak sandwich, and the Half Pound Cheese Burger. All arrived hot and well-presented. Eating a sandwich with both french fries and coleslaw on it was a new experience. They filled us up. The fries had a good amount of salt on them. I think the coleslaw could have had more seasoning on it. It was very mild, almost like substituting cabbage instead of lettuce on the sandwich. The Carnegie and Sirloin sandwiches had a good amount of meat and cheese on them. If I'm in the area again, I can see myself stopping by again, especially since the price for what you got was reasonable. The manager should make sure, though, that they dust the blinds in the bar area where the booths are. Looks like it's been a while.

This bar is awesome! In the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, it is a nice break from the world outside. The kitschy decor and upbeat attitude of the staff made our experience a great one! I had a tropical mixed drink and my husband a beer and both were really good. The mixed drink was not watered down at all so itâs a good thing we ate food or I would have needed some assistance to leave. LOL This is a bar we would most definitely revisit if we find ourselves in Pittsburgh again.

Local tavern with friendly vibe. The patrons will usually be wearing Steelers, Pirates, or Pens gear. There is a bar, dining area, and outdoor seating. Good draft selection. Servers and bartenders are always great. Drinks are relatively inexpensive. There is plenty of free parking.Food can be hit or miss, but it is the best option for late night grub in Monroeville. I recently had the famous fish sandwich. The fish was overcooked. With the slice of American cheese, it reminded me of filet o fish. The fries were good. For late night food options in Monroeville, this place is my go-to.

My brother and I stopped at Papa Rocks for pizza. I had never been there, but my brother said their food is very good. He was right on the money! The service was prompt and courteous. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It was delicious and the crust was crispy. It was an enjoyable meal. The restaurant has many more menu item, typical of an Italian/pizza parlor. They also have a full bar with entertainment during the week. Just check out their website. When I'm in that area again, I will head to Papa Rocks!

We stopped in for a late lunch - early supper. We were seated immediately, and we were given great service. We each had soup to start (French onion, and broccoli cheese), and we both ordered the meat loaf. The soups were very good, and the meat loaf was the best I have had at any restaurant. Everything was reasonably priced.Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're so happy to hear you had a positive experience at Max & Erma's. We would love to hear about future experiences so please continue to share. We can't wait to see you again!

If you are looking for good causal bar food that will make everyone happy and not break the bank, here you go. Our server, Camille, was quick and friendly. My kids about died when they both realized that the âYinzerâ dogs and burgers came with Mac & cheese loaded on top. I had the chili and some really crisp zucchini strips. Prices are very reasonable. The decor could use a little help, but itâs a family bar. Iâll come back.

While the menu is ambitious, the Gateway Grill delivers good food at competative prices. Popular items include pizza and sandwiches, although the menu incldes full dinners,. most of which are wood-grilled. The lower room can be very loud, so this is not a place for an intimate dinner. It's more of a family and sports-bar atmosphere. The Grill is usually very busy, with lots of happy patrons.

Long-running Pittsburgh-born chain known for sandwiches piled high with coleslaw & french fries.
The sandwiches were huge and yummy. Hardly any wait for a table. Relaxed atmosphere. Might need to park a bit away and walk.
