Now Open for the Season! We are back at last! At Smoke House, dig in to rustic flavors tapped from backyard memories, boldly prepared to heat things up, and chilled, original drinks to cool you down. Kick back and enjoy it all from our front row seats on
But average service. We had the pulled.port nachos which are always delicious. I split pulled pork/brisket/sausage combo with one nephew and the other nephew had brisket/sausage. Our server left us with no BBQ sauce and no ketchup. It was sad because they love ketchup. Thanks cfalz! Glad you enjoyed the nachos and the brisket/sausage but sorry that your server dropped the ball on the ketchup and sauce. That's not the kind of service we are known for so we will be sure to remind the team about the importance of being on top of our guest's needs. Apologies to your nephews too - we didn't want to put a damper on their day with you.Cheers!Dan L. Guest Relations Manager

Got the creamy chowder, and the lobster which was fresh, AND the dollar oysters which were good 'n salty. Petite Sweets? was the name and they were small but frisky. My only complaint is THAT -NO MIGNONETTE! WHAT ~ kinda oyster house doesn't have a proper mignonette,,,made from champagne vinegar and shallots and white pepper and a dash of tasco?? Easy to make and when I asked it was WHAT???and THE SERVICE WAS ' I DON'T CARE' ATTITUDE?

Popped in for dinner whilst in Newport.Really pleased with our decision. Both had beef stew and homemade bread which was delicious. Then a Bailey's creme brulee and a bread pudding - both fabulous.Beware... portions are not for the fainthearted.Would definitely recommend if you fancy comforting home cooked good.

We were out with another family so three kids and three adults. This restaurant was perfect for the group. The kids loved the nachos. We enjoyed the lobster quesadilla. Broad selection of food on the menu. The restaurant is very popular and can be quite loud. Not a great choice for a romantic meal - but go for a casual meal.

We were off a cruise ship and looking for lunch. This restaurant looked interesting, and gave us a very friendly greeting. We ordered two pints of Harpoon Ale, and decided to share a lobster roll and fries. Very tasty and made a nice light lunch. Michelle R did a great job looking after us.

Went for a drink (great martini btw - element martini) and was sad that I had already eaten. Wish I had time to go back and try the food. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The bar area was very comfortable and a wonderful place to relax and visit - especially the cushioned wicker seating area.

First visit.Nice space; good vibe - lots of regulars; and good service. Part of the local dining scene as most tourists have not yet discovered the many Broadway spots.Had cocktails - large selection. Standard prices ($13 each - guess cocktails has become the profit maker vs. desserts in the past). Decent. The "Mango Tango" was surprisingly not overly sweet and had some heat so a winner for a mezcal-based drink. We split 4 small plates (should have only done 3). Fish tacos, Thai shrimp nachos, chicken wings, and Brussel sprouts. All good with the Thai dish the clear winner. Wings were deliciously spicy. The tacos needed a bit more "stuffing" - it was all fish and a bit dry.Overall a good spot that we'll frequent again. Damages for 2 with tip was $90.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner recently while vacationing in Newport. We had late reservations (9:15 pm), but we felt unrushed and relaxed the entire time even when everyone else had gone. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. I had the filet, which was cooked perfectly, and bf had the rigatoni bolognese which was made with lamb and he loved it! Wine suggestions were made and appreciated as well. It was dark out so we did not get to see the view, however we opted to sit inside the cozy dining room anyway so that was fine. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Newport and want a delicious fine dining experience in a beautiful restaurant. Thanks Trisha! We are thrilled we could be part of your Newport birthday celebration and happy to hear you both enjoyed. We are honored to have earned your recommendation and hope you come back soon. You need to see our view too! Gratefully, Dan Fischer General Manager

A fun, laid back bar with great craft beer and amazing food!
Not a dive bar like people say, however it is still a great place to eat and drink. The place is always packed and the service is usually good. They had a live band when I was there. Itâs worth a visit if your in town. Overall Iâd come back next time Iâm in town. Stay thirsty my friends

No wonder this place is crowded and usually has a wait in the evening! The food is delicious (the short ribs over garlic mashed potatoes was great), the salad bar plentiful, and soup was great. This is a good place if eating solo (get there a little early / during off-peak times) and if dining in a larger group.
