With German names on the street signs, summer bier gartens and the annual Wurstfest, New Braunfels blends the character of its German namesake with the charm and beauty of Texas Hill Country. Willie's is the home of Great Food and More Fun! We take pride in our quality ingredients, hand-breaded to order food, local products, and seasonal Texas traditions. Our large patios and walls of garage doors offer a unique, casual, indoor/outdoor dining
We visited Willie's on a weekend and it was very crowded. They have an interesting way of processing diners. You are directed to a queue where you view the menu posted on a wall and order your drinks and food with a greeter who fills out an order card and hands it to you. You are given a plastic glass to pour your own soft drink and then wait in line to be shown a table. Once seated at your table, a server takes your order card and places it with the kitchen. I suppose this is done to increase throughput in the restaurant area itself because you don't waste their time at the table reading their menu. However when it is crowded it means you are standing in a line with a soft drink waiting for a table. Not sure if I liked this process. The food was OK. I had grilled chicken (blackened style) and it was a little rubbery, but fairly tasty. Overall, I was not very impressed, but it was OK. Would come back when it was a less crowded time.

This is about the Tap room located a few blocks from the Faust hotel at 499 South Castell Avenue. It's a big venue with lots of outdoor and brewery seating. The indoor tap room is small but on a Thursday afternoon it was not crowded. Good selection of brews on tap; I had the Mocha Stout and my date chose the Alex Meixner Polka Pils. Very good flavor and we stuck with these during our visit. This will be a great place to revisit when the weather warms up. I'll be there.

We liked the look of the restaurant with it's very cool lighting and open air porch. When we saw that they had the best Margarita's in town we were sold! We waited to be seated approx. 30 minutes which was expected without reservations. Once seated we ordered and ate chips while we waited, and waited, and waited. The Margarita's weren't all that special just ok. Chips and salsa were so VERY salty! Strike one. The wait for our food....Strike two. Total time from sitting down and ordering till we got our food 1 hour! I guess they expect people to be enamored with the atmosphere and alcoholic drinks to be worried about food. The food itself was subpar. I've had better at a fast food restaurant. And that's strike three! Never again...and we visit the area often. Sorry but really, just go elsewhere. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience at our restaurant. We strive to offer tasty TexMex alongside friendly attentive service and we fell short. We sincerely apologize you didn't enjoy your food and experience. We have passed your feedback along to management so that it can be addressed with our staff. Thanks again for taking the time to let us know.

Late lunch on a Saturday. Ordered two cheeseburgers with coleslaw, tea and a diet coke. We ran out of drinks. We were dry for a l o n g time before receiving refills. It took an hour to receive food. I know the time due to texts I received. The burgers were good. Only one leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato. Skimpy in my opinion. Cole slaw was good. Service was poor. We were given drinks to go.

A broke place charging $3.75 for a fancy can of diet coke. $8 for a small draft. Almost $12 for nothing and thats after a 10 minute wait to be served by inept bartenders. I mean it. This place blows. It was painfully terrible. We left and went to another bar. Avoid Thanks for letting us know about your recent experience. We strive to offer delicious food alongside friendly, attentive service and we fell short. We do offer Coke Zero as a fountain drink option if you prefer. We sincerely apologize the staff didn't offer it as a replacement upon ordering. We are passing your feedback along to management so that they can be made aware. Thanks for taking the time to leave a candid review.

Situated on a bluff overlooking the Guadalupe River, this spectacular restaurant nestled under the shade of towering oak trees has been the perfect getaway for a unique casual dining experience for thirty years. Located in the historic district of Gruene
Visited whilst passing through, the restaurant is in an old Mill so makes for a pretty unique setting. The food was great, the onions rings are a must! The batter on them is amazing.... The baby back ribs are some of the best I have ever tasted they fall right off the bone! Would recommend a visit if you are in the area!

If youâre reading this review then youâre obviously already interested in eating at Muck & Fuss. Quit wasting time... go now and donât even consider not getting a burger. This was one of those meals where we took the first bite and looked up at each other and high five-ed. Amazing burger patties. Well seasoned and well cooked. Perfectly buttered and toasted bread. Tots and fries are ridiculous. Spicy and regular ranch are top notch. Our waiter was fantastic as well. Our dog made a few friends too. Sorry for the lack of photos. Food was too good. Thank you so much for the amazing review! We are so happy to hear you loved your meal with us. We can wait to have you and your dog back for more amazing food and drinks!

Restaurant is located in historic looking building in cute town of Gruene, a little off the beaten path. Would love to be seated on outside deck over looking the river on our next visit, too hot this time! Cheese sticks appetizer was good. Two fish taco dinners were ordered and both said they were very good. I ordered catfish dinner, it was ok. Our meals came out very quickly and before our appetizer. Service was very friendly.
