Best waterfront view in Montauk
Went there with several friends for dinner at the star island marina. It used to be family owned, now itâs owned by Guernseys group of restaurants. We all ordered beer, the keg âjust ran outâ and bartender said we would have to wait, we did....finally ended up ordering bottle beer at $7. Each! We ordered the day special of fish tacos, supposed to be sea bass. 25 minutes later our food arrived. Our tortilla shells were dried out, cold and hard. We had fried fish nuggets that were coated in a coconut flour batter. The taco itself was dressed with seaweed salad, grated cheese, sweet and sour dressing with chopped tomato bits and red cabbage! The fish was ok. The rest was not. 3 fish tacos for 24 dollars a plate! Will not be returning there.

Since 1936, Shagwong Tavern is a Historic Bar and Restaurant located in the heart of Montauk. Shagwong serves up fresh Montauk fish, prime steaks, burgers, salads, and much more..
Thus place has true Montauk atmosphere. Service was quick. The New England clam chowder is excellent. The BBQ chicken wings were delicious. Also good was the fish sandwich. Very much worth a visit.

Montauk's oldest restaurant with a trendy spin. Serving only the freshest local fish and seafood, steaks, pastas and more. Vegan and gluten free menu available. Dine inside or outside in our garden patio. Live music 7 nights a week in summer season. Open
We were a large group of approximately 20 people and from the moment we entered we were well taken care of. It was a Saturday night, around 7pm, and the musician (Emmanual I believe?) was an excellent entertainer. Because it's a small restaurant, conversation had a tendency to drown out as he worked through his set. It was loud, but too loud? I don't know but he was very good so it's easy to forgive the challenging acoustics. Now the food: What's the word for really, really, really good? Oh right, EXCEPTIONAL! Our party was all over the place with their selections, some had seafood, some had turf options but all so very good. I know we will be back the next time we are in Montauk.Thank you for your business and also for your review. We hope to see you back again soon for another great evening.

Parking attendant at Montauk Lighthouse recommended this spot. Rustic coastal original. W a cool clothing boutique w vintage high end hand bags and clothing... it was fun to browse. We had the fish tacos w vodka & lemon aid. We arrived just before 3. (Food shuts down between 3 and dinner). Happy hour includes some beers, house wine and (bar spirits) drinks. I found the vodka and lemon aid a bit light on the wodka... but the bartender and the wonderful view of islands and states was worth a $60 lunch. Could not stay for the setting sun. But saw it lining up and it does present a glorious position for the end of day sun.

We were boating off the tip of Long Island on Summer afternoon and decided to try the Blue beach restaurant for early dinner. We had 11 for the trip. We walked in and had a table waiting. Brandon our server was great at taking our order quickly. Great menu along with people watching. The tile fish on the menu was outstanding. Great burgers.

We must have been to this place a half dozen times. Why? Because the food is fresh, original and all-round terrific. This time I was sorry to see the asparagus fries served on a white plate instead of standing proudly in their little Chinese-style cardboard container. Cheap, puzzling change. Our server - I wonât name her - did the one thing that drives me nuts: correctly served, a 750ml bottle of wine should cover 6 x 125ml servings. This is really important for chilled wine as the smaller amount keeps cold longer and can be topped up with a touch of additional chilled Wine from the same icy bottle, if necessary. Our server sloshed (and thatâs the correct description) the full bottle into the glasses of my four guests. Why? I assume she had been ordered to âpushâ guests to a second bottle. Very irritating! I did order a second bottle from another server. I âdroveâ the second bottle myself. Another note to management: guests of Medicare age donât always want to be addressed as âyou guysâ; not all of us need to feel âwokeâ.

We did a road trip out to Montauk this week and shared a cold Lobster Roll from Sammy's On The Go, Sammy's food truck that was parked at the point. In our opinion, it was the perfect lobster roll, made with very little mayonnaise, lots of crunchy celery and a perfectly toasted bun. Cathy, the woman who served us, promised we would enjoy it and we absolutely did!

Previously located at Westlake Marina, The Clam & Chowder House is now located at Salivar's Dock. We have two full bars, indoor and outdoor seating, a rooftop bar with an amazing view of the harbor with live music in season Thursday-Saturday, a full sushi
Had a great dinner with family and friends. Ordered a variety from the menu. Everything was fresh & delicious, not to mention the oversized portions. Disappointing that 4% is added to your bill if you pay by credit card.

Family Run, Fun and energetic scene with Great food and a Great Bar! Outdoor seating right in the Heart of montauk town that is great for people watching, or enjoying all the live music over a drink!
We went here because of the positive reviews, because it is one of the few pet friendly places in the area, and because it is near our motel.Firstly, the menu online had cheaper prices than the current edition..sometimes quite a difference. Market pricing perhaps? Anyway, coming from a region that is also highly priced (and enjoying Greenwich, CT and Fairfield County), nonetheless we were shocked at the prices in Montauk, and Gigshack fits right in. $38 for a lobster roll with potato chips! $12 for a side of grilled asparagus! The crowds (and the amount of children) amazed me.I wanted a lobster roll (although I'm not as taken with the mayo-based sort, I wouldn't throw one away either) - although putting it on a croissant didn't really appeal. Regardless I had been waiting for this trip to partake. I was willing to pay a premium. But there's a line, and Montauk crosses it. So I had the puttanesca, very good, but a small portion. My husband had the two fish tacos, also good. No appetizers, no dessert; a diet soda and an iced tea. Now, the iced tea had fallen into that disagreeable state of having been left around so that it tasted dishraggy. That usually doesn't happen in good restaurants (or even at Denny's). I was going to ask for it to be replaced, but the server never came back. No one asked how we liked our meals or if we needed anything. When we left, $80 lighter for a small amount of good but not extraordinary grub, there was a 45 minute wait to get in.Inexplicable, especially since they didn't even have dogs.
