We decided to call up again for my wife birthday and a nice meal.Atleast 10 of us and we all had food,I had the chicken burger and it was beautiful and soft and I ate the lot.The home made chips were great aswell.All in all a great night as staff were so fast buzzing about cleaning tables asap and bar staff were great aswell and beer was spot on and not 1 bad pint all night for any of us.I can't fault service,food,beer,great dj,fun game of Irish bingo,fun quiz,all in all what a great night should be.The buuuuut is for all the old men who just like swarmed into where we were and it was like a cattle show too them.we had young girls in our company and they felt a bit uncomfortable with all the looks.It just looked so weird.hope it was a 1 off as we enjoy the food and enjoy how nice this pub has became.thats the only reason you got 4* and not 5.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we are sorry you were made to feel uncomfortable on your last visit, we are now under new management, we hope to see you back soon to see the changes we have made, and to make your next visit a more enjoyable one.

Rang ahead and booked the roast beef sandwiches. Sat in the garden, on the terrace. Lovely garden. Sandwiches were actually half baguettes, stuffed with beautiful tender roast beef, accompanied by roast potatoes and individual jugs of gravy. English mustard was available and the whole thing was excellent. Delicious cloudy apple juice to go with it.

Go regularly for Sunday lunch and now they do a carvery on a Wednesday 4-7pm.Me and my son have been two Wednesdays on the trot and it is just as excellent as it is on a Sunday. Fresh roast meat, homemade yorkshires, roast potatoes and parsnips, 5 different veg and 2 times of mash. The gravy is superb and it's excellent value.Recommended!!!

Went for two steaks, one was fine but the other was inedible, like chewing on rubber. The one person serving food was clueless and went to fetch someone but didnât come back. To make it worse, two pints of Doom Bar were as flat as a f***. Weâll be voting with our feet and not returning, if you canât be bothered neither can we. Poor show from what is usually a decent pub.

Usually two for tenner get what ya pay for but here best place for it..you get plenty and homemade chips..friendly staff.drinks bit pricey ordered bottle wine either fourteen or fifteen quid..next time be glass pop.well worth a visit shall be going back

I've visited here a few times now, and I can never fault the food and the service as it's always been exceptional. I would definitely recommend it.My only issue with this pub / restaurant is the heat inside. Everytime I've been it's always been very hot, and sometimes makes it too uncomfortable to finish a meal because you're so hot.
