After a couple of hours in Mevagissey we decided to not eat there due to the crowds. So my Partner looked on Trip Advisor to see what was about on our way back to Porth and came across this gem. Never knew it was even where it was after years of passing by it! Lovely friendly staff from the off. Inside is quaint and full of interesting artifacts. Not a huge place. We sat outside in the large gardens. Food was delicious and we all enjoyed our different dishes. The pizzas are lovely, fresh and homemade. Mine and my Son's eyes were too big and we both had the 12in which neither of us could finish! The 9in is more than adequate with the lovely homemade chips. The chilli chips starter was the best! My Partner pointed out that the Chilli was better than the one we had in a proper Mexican in Newquay! The Steak and Ale pie was lovely, lots of meat and really tender. The only thing my Partner mentioned was that it would be nice to have a small jug of gravy to accompany it so that there was a sauce for the peas and mash. All in all a very enjoyable experience and one that we would happily do again. We recommend a visit here and have already recommended to friends who are in Cornwall soon

We had our weeks holiday at this lovely location at Sun Valley. We were well surprised when we found this lovely Restaurant in the nearby clubhouse. It has a fantastic range of food and drinks . We had several meals here and can honestly say that we enjoyed every single mouthfull. Well cooked, presented and served at dining table by friendly staff. John and Claire went out of thier way to accommodate our every request, also the Sunday Roast was a real dream. We can only recommend this establishment as being first class. A really pleasant experience.

During our weekâs stay in Portmellon we ate at the Rising Sun three times. Each time the food was good and the welcome warm, including friendly interaction with local regulars. We particularly enjoyed Mondayâs charity quiz night, light hearted and good fun. The food is good pub grub, not necessarily the cheapest Iâve ever had but considering the location, good value for money. Sorry to be leaving on the eve of the Shanty Festival!

Award winning cosy Cornish pub situated in a beautiful valley near St Austell and the Eden Project serving great food, wine, ale, and coffee. Enjoy cosy fires in the winter months and a great pub garden in the summer
Authentic, characterful village pub with a varied menu. The service was prompt and friendly. Our party had a ploughmans, brisket burnt ends, filthy fries and a chicken roll. The brisket was obscenely tasty. The filthy fries were just vast. All our party staggered away complaining of tight clothes and an urgent need to sleep. Thoroughly recommended Superb! Come back and try our lovely Sunday Roast or maybe a tasty breakfast on a Friday or Saturday morning from 7.30-10am. Don't for get we have lots coming up as we approach winter, we have some great music this weekend, won't be long and we will all be singing carols in the bar on the 22nd December! Check out our lovely special Christmas menu too - its available to book from 1st December right through until 21st!

Saturday night st Hubbox Pentuan, it was raining so we sat inside. Amazing location on the beach overlooking the sea. Closes in November and re- opens in March. Standard superb Hubbox burgers that are second to none. Itâs quite a small restaurant so arrive early to avoid waiting for a table...Hi Passp0rtAlwaysReady, Thank you so much for such an awesome review! We are very fortunate with our amazing location; even when it is raining it is still idyllic. You should definitely download the app to start earning loyalty which you can use in any HUBBOX restaurant. Many Thanks, Hubbox Pentewan

We're The Sharksfin in Mevagissey. Fresh seafood, quality St. Austell ales and friendly customer service. Come down and enjoy the view!
We enjoyed a delicious meal of sea bream landed that morning. We were told afterwards that service had been a problem in the past, but this has obviously been rectified, as it now cannot be faulted. The building does not look particularly inviting, but inside the decor is comfortable and the atmosphere cosy. Glad we ventured in.Hi Nicola,Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review :) We're glad you enjoyed your visit and look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Mevagissey!

The Harbour Tavern is a free house bar and restauraunt with stunning harbour views located in the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey. We are very passionate about using local ingredients and are very proud of our local suppliers. Our menu is freshl
Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. We all had Fish and chips. It was good to sit down and just relax. There was a chippy within a stones throw which probably would have been half the price. But takeaway. So you pay for the location and ambience and the staff and service which all was very good.

We wanted a good wholesome Sunday lunch in mevagissey and searched TripAdvisor. Up popped the fountain inn, just off the harbour. Popped in and spoke with license Bill. Any chance you could save us two lamb meals for 2pm ..no problem. And exactly as promised we had two superb Sunday roast lamb dinners with plenty of veg and lamb. Loads of gravy. Absolutely 100%, could not fault in anyway....except...there was Eaton mess on offer for a pudding. I was full..no room...disaster!!!
