You could easily walk right by this nondescript eatery on Media's main street, even if you peered in through the windows! A sports bar, at first glance, but it is a little restaurant with an amazing menu of eclectic sandwiches, salads and entrees! My favorite is the duck salad, which has a healthy portion of perfectly cooked, sliced duck breast on top of mixed greens, beets and cheese -- yum! Roast beef and pastrami sandwiches are heaped with fresh meat, and their burgers are also great. Having eaten there 4 or 5 times now, and always finding something new to try, I just wish they would spruce up the interior a bit...it looks like they may have started.

We recently moved to Media and this was our second time at Dinner under the Stars where they block off State Street and the many local restaurants take over the street. Tonight we went to Sligo....not a large menu but a nice selection of beers and a tasty menu. I must mention that the hostess was a beautiful Irish lass.

I love La Porta especially their pizza dishes. They are awesome!!! The only downside is the quote time on take out. If I'm quoted 20 minutes its NEVER ready when I get there. I wait anywhere from 5-20 more minutes. It drives me nuts, but I love the food.

We went on a weekend, it was crowded and no tables for a group of 6, however, we were accommodated at the bar area. Our waitress was nice and helpful. Everything we ordered that day was delicious. Portions were kind of big, we took the leftovers home. Highly recommended.

It was cold in their dining room and when I mentioned it they agreed. The Italian classic sub was OK, not what I would call "classic and the turkey made with stuffing bread was very good - just too much bread.Service was good until we wanted to leave - couldn't find him - had to get help from the cashier.Bought some cookies fro our car ride - very good.

Went 2 dinner on Friday night with my wife. No wait and was seated right away. Wife ordered a steak and some garlic asparagus. She enjoyed everything. I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp for an app. They were a very tuff chew. For dinner I ordered the seafood Alfredo which was very good. My only complaint with it is it only had 3 shrimp and 3 scallops which considering the huge amount of pasta wasn't nearly enough. All in All I would definitely recommend this place. Food was good and the atmosphere is very nice as well.

Inside there is only bar seating and two tables, so be prepared to eat outside next to a busy road. The food was quite disappointing. I had the combo platter and the pork and brisket were dry and the rib was almost meatless. The sides were below average. Unless your main concern is drinking and sitting at the bar, I'd suggest you go elsewhere.

On a Thursday evening, the place was jammed with both bar and restaurant customers....great atmosphere but a bit noisy. We had their award winning whiskey sours which lived up to its reputation. The food was unique and very well prepared. The service was also top notch.

As we were passing through the area, our hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant because it's entertaining for kids. The children can look through the window and watch the pizza being made and they are given a big doe a pizza to play with. The dough before it's cooked. My kids loved making cool things out of it and running their fingers through it.With that all being said, the cheesesteaks we got were huge and was the amount for two. And they were tasty. We are thrilled to hear that your kids enjoyed playing with the pizza dough and watching the pizzas being made! Thank you for sharing such a fantastic experience with us!

Environment as described by other reviewers but food was mediocre at best. Two appetizers, egg rolls pretty good, lobster flat bread-- fair at best. Two southwest chicken salads chicken itself was very good BUT there must have been a sale on Serrano peppers as there seemed to be an equal amount of peppers to lettuce. Will not be back!!!!!
