Never a wait here, not busy on any given night. Website down for updating menu again. I came to see what new items or specials were being offered, but was disappointed when I arrived and learned no specials was featured. I ordered the green pepper soup (see photo), looked, smelled and tasted more like chili. Either way, soup was good, whatever the name is. Franks redHot sauce is featured here, and the wings are fierce with flavor. Little pricey for small order, but will order again. Many items were removed from current menu (April 29th,'18) No more pasta options, dinners have been cut down to fish & chips, breaded chicken with veggie, or grilled chicken plate with veggie. Besides pizza 14" is $16 cheese only ($2 each topping). This place is nice for craft beer, but pricey overall. High top tables very uncomfortable.

The Service Dog beer is outstanding and the Wheel in the Sky with Guava is also outstanding. But don't expect a pint glass for a less than $6.00. Some of their beers are $6 for a pint but others are 8 oz. for$6. The food was not great but not bad either. Expensive for a burger and the taco trio was bland tasting. Also the down fall in my book was the noise... a very loud place, hard to hold a conversation. Service was spot on and food quick to arrive.

This was my first time trying this beautiful restaurant and it didn't disappoint. My girlfriend and her husband had tried it previously and she thought we might like it. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. The view of the golf course on a nit so pleasant Saturday was spectacular. We definitely want to return when the weather is nicer and everything is green. We thought the prices were very fair and we were able to relax and enjoy catching up with each other.

Our first time here to eat, after we saw a review on TV when the restaurant opened. Large, open dining room, generic decorating. The bar seating was full with many large screen TV’s airing the Cubs & Sox games today. Friendly server, although she seemed overwhelmed @ times with the few tables of diners. We ordered ice tea, grilled chicken sandwich & Coom’s short rib nachos. Disappointed that there was very little short rib meat on the nachos. No need to return here for “Just Average” food, service & vibe.

Just wanted to give a special thanks to Teresa, the event manager at Embers Tap House!!! We hosted our parents 50th anniversary party over the weekend and everything ran super smoothly. She was very helpful and courteous for any and all questions. We hosted roughly 70 people in the main banquet room upstairs and still had enough room to fit many more. The food was really tasty and stayed piping hot throughout the event, which consisted of Grilled Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Vegetables, and Salad. Our entire family was rather impressed with the ambiance and the tasty food. It is a great venue for a family party and prices are very affordable. It was a very pleasant experience!! Many Thanks!!!!

We visited the Public Landing for the second time in February 2019. The restaurant offers charming atmosphere, as it's housed in an old 19th Century limestone building in downtown Lockport. The dining room is rustic, with stone and wood everywhere…very cozy (see website photo)! On our first dinner visit, I liked it a lot, certainly enough to return. The second visit blew me away. To start, drinks are generous and fairly priced. The wine list, while not expansive, has some good options at reasonable prices, and many are available by the glass or bottle. As for the menu, it offers ample variety: salads, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, poultry, pork, even a little pasta. Entrees don't come with soup or salad, but those are reasonably priced at $4-5. I had a Caesar salad that was about as good as any. Our party of four focused on beef. The Mrs. and I both ordered the prime rib (which is only available on weekends). She had an end cut, while I asked for medium. Both were perfectly cooked and served with horseradish sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It was easily the best prime rib I've enjoyed in a long time. (Yum!) As for our dining partners, he chose the rib eye. She selected the grilled salmon. Both were thoroughly satisfied. Our server was attentive and willing to accommodate the pace of our meal, even on a busy Saturday evening (we were in no hurry). If you dine on the weekend, a reservation is suggested.Really looking forward to a return visit…highly recommended!
