What better way to relax in the 'Wild West' than to come on in and join us at Lone Star Westgate. Enjoy the delicious hearty dishes and great service that Lone Stars are renowned for. As local people ourselves, we take pride in our guests having a great n
We visited twice in two weeks. Both times the dining experience was fantastic. The food is "typical" Lone Star fare. Best to describe it as a hearty meal no matter what you order. Definitely bring an appetite. But its not just filling--it tastes darn good too. The place itself has captured the look of other Lone Star's but has a freshness the older places lack. The service is great from all the staff.Wow ... Twice in two weeks! Thanks, Tony. You are a living example of the Lone Star saying 'Too much Lone Star ain't ever enough'... Third time lucky ;) See you next time - Lone Star Westgate

A family owned and operated craft brewery and biergarten. Brewing the good stuff since 2004, Hallertau has always been an innovator in the NZ craft beer scene. A family and dog friendly destination with everything brewed and prepared from scratch onsite.
I know itâs a family friendly place, but kids should either be sitting at their tables or staying in the dedicated playground area. However they were running riot screaming throughout the restauarant the entire time we were there. Donât bother going here if you want a relaxing meal and drinks with friends. I will not be going back. Apparently itâs always like this at night. I imagine the day being the same. Very small pourings of wine compared to other bars. Service was good, food was nice. The blankets they provide if you sit outside are great.

An old dairy factory renovated and turned into a restaurant, with amazing decor and statues, a separate wedding venue, lovely gardens and stream, and we haven't even started on the food!! A variety of choices available for vegetarian or non-vegetarian, excellent service, delectable foods cooked splendidly to satisfy the taste buds. This place is a huge WOW.

After spending the morning at the Woodhill Tree Adventures park, we needed to refuel our bodies and my husband suggested the Huapai Tavern as we were passing through. The food was delicious and very generous portions. A really friendly place and had a nice atmosphere. Worth a stop if you are passing by.

Stopped by here for a friends birthday party. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. There is also a food truck in the carpark where you can grab something to eat if you're hungry. The inside area is very large with plenty of seating around, although it could get hard for larger groups since their tables aren't very large. We did manage to squeeze about 12 people on a table though. The tap 40 on the wall shows you what they're currently serving. Take note of either the name or the number to order. When you're ready just head over to the counter to order. They also do wines and non-alcoholic drinks. Puha and Pakeha were the food truck that was there. After ordering you get a buzzer and wait to pick up your food. The tuatua fritters were amazing. Tasty and delicious. I found the kumara bites to be too smokey for my liking. The loaded fries was a bit of a let down, particularly with the pork tasting mostly of water. It is a nice place to have a few drinks but it is quite far from where I live.

Dine on the deck this in summer with pleasant views overlooking the water. Our 'Landing Restaurant' offers delicious meals exceeding the expectations of a semi-rural tavern, served with iconic kiwi hospitality. Nestled on the shores of the upper Waitemata
Another Superb evening at the historic Riverhead Tavern. We elected to try the Sunday Roast which was beef. Roasted to perfection, the beef was moist, tender and delicious, accompanied by assorted root veg, broccolini, Yorkshire pudding and a yummy jus. We loved the presentation!!! Great value for money, the Roast comes with either a beer or a house wine. We ordered dessert separately, the sorbet (a trio of flavours) was amazing, and the Francipani/rhubarb tart fresh from the oven was pretty good too. With the sculpture and trees all lit up, the tide in on the river, such a pretty place to dine!Yes, it is pretty spectacular at night isn't it! I love it ...so glad you love the Sunday Roast Special. We've had a really good response to it, so it will probably be a keeper. See you again, kind regards Paula
