We had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant over the years and finally tried it. It was very busy at 1:30 when we arrived for lunch. We had about a 15 minute wait. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was just okay, I would not go back.

We chose Poogans for a casual evening out last Friday. The food was all excellent! The atmosphere was fun and lively, but decor nothing special. Service was good. The boiled peanuts were great, as was the cornbread as appetizers. We had brisket, pulled pork sandwich and 2 meats/ wings and pork. Wings were huge! All the meats were delicious, perfectly cooked and very generous portions. A great spot for casual dining BBQ in Charleston!

My husband and I were in town visiting our children & granddaughter over a long weekend. Pearlz was our dinner choice & we all enjoyed our dinner. We didnât have to wait long for a table, and our food came quickly. Everyone raved about their seafood dinner, nice atmosphere, & great service. Wine selection was large and you could try all of them in small quantities if you wznted.The cheese and meat plate allowed for many choices. Portions were much larger than the norm on these plates and the six item plate was more than enough for dinner for the 2 of us. Bread served was excellent and unlike most places there was enough.Friendly prompt service. Try it !Hi Mr. Jim ,Thank you so much for coming into Uncork. The Thoroughbred Club at the Charleston Place in Charleston is a great lounge and bar area to catch a snack or drink. I really like the theme of horses and the vibe and atmosphere especially when the piano is going and there is music that can be heard throughout the place. There are many comfortable seating areas and different areas that stretch inside and outside that make it feel like several different lounges in one. The Thoroughbred Club is very laid back and place to gather either with friends or for a business meeting and serves either purpose very well. I have enjoyed every visit I have ever made to the Thoroughbred Club as the service and total experience has been special and memorable.

Just got into town and followed the reviews to this great restaurant. Nice wine and bar selection, great colonial atmosphere, amazing shrimp and grits, and fresh raw oysters. This was my husbandâs first try at Shrimp and grits, and he already wants to go back tomorrow night!! Our server Megan, was attentive, efficient and knowledgable. Highly recommend!

Both the brisket and pork were outstanding, especially on the buttered roll. I don't care for bought potato salad, but this was unique and had a great flavor (a bit too much dressing for my taste, but still yummy). The coleslaw was also made perfectly. If I lived nearby, I certainly would be visiting this establishment frequently.Can't go wrong with the brisket! We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the brisket and pork! Thanks for coming in!
