Had a lovely cream tea with home made scones, lashing of jam and cream and ample pot of tea in gorgeous beer garden surrounded by people enjoying what looked like amazing sandwiches, ploughmanâs and home made dog treats. My daughters had gooey chocolate cake which they devoured and we took some flapjack for the walk home. My husband wanted the pub beer but they had run out: great excuse to return for more delicious cake and sunshine in the garden. Staff were really friendly and helpful too; very smiley and happy.

Called into Crown Inn for a meal. Although busy they were very accommodating. Service was excellent, meal was hot and was served very quickly. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Considering we hadn't booked the Crown Inn gave excellent service, dog friendly and at a reasonable price. I would visit the pub again and recommend it.

Friendly, locally owned pub in Ilfracombe, serving a great selection of home-cooked food, ales, lagers, spirits and cocktails. Families and dogs are welcome.
Had a fabulous Caribbean meal tonight. Having said that, the food here is always good, not just on a themed night. We also came here on Tuesday, as a family of 4 and had one of the best curries we've ever tasted and the steamed cod was exceptional! Oh and I have to mention that the strawberry daiquiri is well worth a try! Many thanks for your great review we are really pleased you enjoyed your meals and visits to the Ship & Pilot. Hope to see you again soon.

Traditional Village Pub based in the heart of Berrynarbor. Serving good food and fine ales. Family friendly and dog friendly. Through the Winter months we will not be serving food on Mondays and Tuesdays. (From Mon 30th Oct - February) Food served lunchti
Think of any movue where there's a scene set in the 16th century Inn, hold that image and you're here! Amazing! It's your typical wooden beam ceilings, tiled fireplaces, crooked walls, solid stone floors, quaint fixtures, and all centred around a huge grand wooden bar. Add pints of real cornish beer, delicious homemade pub food and friendly staff mixed with cheery locals, a great atmosphere and a warm welcome. Just perfect. Make sure you dine here! You won't be disappointed. Thank you for a great evening. Will be back for sure.

The Pier is a Brewery Tap and Grill serving great real ale from The Wizard Brewing Company and a wide selection of locally sourced gourmet burgers, steaks and seafood, as well as daily specials. Our family friendly pub is situated right on the harbour in
Lacked atmosphere and was very draughty but on a warm night worth a visit, Prices like meals very reasonable and good range of choice.Range of ales somewhat limited but adequate. Whole family i e 2 OAP's 2 daughters and a 4 year granddaughter all had clean plates so what we had was enjoyed, Good tip don't pick the table by the fire exit as it is also used as an entrance by the locals and the outer door is left open so very draughty. Pleasant helpful staff and attentive .Nice rustic fishing interior but at far end of bar have a stage so in peak season "maybe" ratger noisy.

We went in on our first evening here and we're not disappointed, the atmosphere was friendly, the people behind the bar were welcoming and we felt comfortable right away. I have worked as a chef for many years and they have nailed this food wise, the price is right and the product is very good. We ate burgers ,mine had a Mac n cheese patty in and it was quite a revelation ,done really well, the burger was very good quality and cooked properly, as were the sweet potato fries. The meals came out hot and the service was excellent couldn't fault it. We went back again for drinks the night after and received the same excellent service and warm welcome ,I would highly recommend this place .

âStanding guard over the crossing of many roads at Mullacott, the Depot has long been a welcome rest stop for weary travellers, holiday-makers, and locals. In late April 1949, a Mr. W. T. Knill opened a new enterprise at this location, called the âMullaco
With a party of 9 they were able to seat us all together. We were brought our drinks quickly and able to order, our food arrived in good time and was absolutely delicious, 4 of us had the battered ale cod with minted mushy peas, home made tartar sauce and chips, we all ate our meals and so did our children. Would definitely come back here and recommend.

The Thatched Inn is a traditional English pub dating back to the 17th Century. We are a small pub with a simple no frills traditional British menu. Dogs are welcome in the beer garden but not inside.
As we approached this pub, we were informed by a couple drinking outside that there were some noisy âbuildersâ in there...? We still went in. Near the bar my wife ordered her usual wine, only to be greeted by the locals who responded âSauvignon Blancâ....???This was all in good spirits and we joined in with the friendly banter and chat. The locals, the service, the drink and food were all very good and well worth a visit in my opinion. My pie and mash was superb, as were my wifeâs chips which I tried, a couple of times.

The Hele Bay Pub is great family pub situated by the sea in the pretty village of Hele Bay on the outskirts of Ilfracombe. Our Specialities include Home-Made Food including Proper Pies, Handmade Burgers and Home-Made Pub Classics. Free Drink with a meal N
We visited the pub based on the reviews on tripadvisor and found it to be very good. The food was lovely and the service friendly. Hele is apparently pronounced Hell! The portions are generous and the food served hot and seemed to be freshly cooked. Even though the pub and restaurant were busy, we still received a good service. At busier times of the year, I would advise booking ahead. The pub is a stones throw from Hele beach which is a pebble beach and dog friendly.
