Traditional English pub with a variety of local real ales and beers, extensive home made menu, in addition to our daily specials. Family games room, baby changing room and disabled facilities. Dogs very welcome. Fantastic setting for any function.
Looks nice from the outside. Inside ok could be better. Food took a long time to come out over half an hour wasn't that busy. My husbands ham egg and chips was fine, I ordered the seafood linguine but was disappointed when it arrived should of had at least four different seafood's but only two or three mussels tiny calamari and no prawns or octopus. I told the waitress and she removed it and it came back with some nice big prawns and apologies. The people on the next table were not happy either. Shame because it could be a nice place with a little care and attention.Good Morning Madam,We are sorry your experience at the pub did not live up to your expectations. We have just introduced a new menu and specials board and thus are still fine tuning our portion sizes and timings of dishes off of our customer's feedback. We will take note of your comments for our continued improvement of service going forward.Kindest RegardsWill, Madi and the team.

On a bustling commercial street in Tavistock town centre, the Tavistock Inn offers a unique pub experience and is only a minuteâs walk from the River Tavy and a 7-minute walk from Tavistock bus station. The bar features high wood-beamed ceilings and walls
We stopped here for our lunch on the off chance they allowed dogs , what a lovely quirky place for a meal or just a drink, we chose off the specials board , sausage casserole and the pork and apple casserole, both were excellent. Owner is a very helpful friendly man , waitress was likewise and a pleasant time we had here , locals too seem to enjoy the place and they were also nice people.

Been to The Carpenters Arms on many occasions including Birthday parties, always received a warm and happy welcome. The staff are always polite, courteous, diligent and go out of their way to help. Food is always excellent whether itâs Pizza, steak, fish and chips, roast or something from the specials board. Curryâs are delicious and all food homemade. Great selection of ales and gin.

Cosy, warm and welcoming would describe the ambience. Warm log fires and the friendly attitudes of both the family and members of staff.
We arrived at The Boot Inn on a Sunday at the beginning of our holiday and after a very long journey. The staff at The Boot are extremely friendly and welcoming and the food is second to none. My partner and each ordered the roast beef which was cooked to perfection and very generous portions served with the pub's special homemade horseradish. We shared a delicious dessert: lemon cheesecake with clotted cream which was exquisite. We were so impressed with the food that we returned the following evening and ezch enjoyed a delicious steak. The food and service are exceptional and put other establishments in the area to shame!
