SoBe Restaurant and Lounge features a South Beach inspired atmosphere with a wide ranging menu prepared in our Scratch Kitchen. Our French-trained Chef, Christ Lanydrek, has an amazing menu prepared to satisfy every palate. Featuring Crab Cakes, Oxtails,
My daughter organized a mother's-daughter's dinner at SoBe Saturday night on the 3rd of November. There were 6 of us. It was our first time coming. The place is beautifully decorated. While we waited for our party, I noticed some folks were turned away. Apparently some of the young men had on tennis shoes. They don't allow that for Saturday night. I'm good with that. Folks need to learn to dress up every now and then. Any way, on one side was the restaurant and the other the bar and lounge. We were on the restaurant side, but you can fully hear the live band. And when that band played, ALL conversation ceased as it was very loud. In between band sets, good old school music was piped in through the speakers. Frankly, that was all I needed. But I do love a live band, but not when I'm eating and trying to converse. They had a fabulous menu! I love oxtails but I am very funny about them. Not everyone can make them right, and coming from a West Indian background, I decided to pass on them. My girlfriend got them and gave me a piece, but she had to exchange it. It wasn't up to our standards. As a matter of fact, if they let my friend cook them, that would be all people eat. She can really punish some oxtails to perfection! Any way, our daughters all got the shrimp and grits. I am prone to gout, so I couldn't eat the shrimp. But those grits!!!!! OMG. Sooooooo good. Next time I go, I'm going to see if they let me get salmon and grits. Its not on the menu, but if you don't ask, the answer is definitely "no". We all got and shared appetizers. Mussels, catfish fingers, burgers sliders, and lobster bites. Nice hot rolls with that good butter you can never find in the store, lol. For dinner I got the $29 pork chop. And I mean chop singular. It was thick, juicy, and well cooked. It was incredible. No complaints. Loved the light sauce which kissed the vegetables and garlic mash, and added to their taste. And we had the best waiter. Cute young guy with dreds pulled back into a pony tail. Wish I could remember his name. Very nice and patient young man. He had an awful lot of tables but served us well. (PLEASE NOTE: Check bill. Gratuity was added even though the bottom of the bill asks if you'd like to give a gratuity.)In any even, I absolutely loved this place. I plan to go again but not when there is a live band. But it was not a deal breaker.

We just had a family Sunday brunch yesterday and need to share some feedback with fellow travelers. As always I try to start with positives. Great location with a beautiful design. We enjoyed the spacious seating and quiet environment for conversation. My guess (hope!) regular lunch and meals better. The brunch concept they offer does not work in our opinion. Even our eat-basically-everything 18-year old food vacuum agreed. To be blunt the food was the same or worse as the "free" included breakfast at a discount national hotel chain. You know the make-your-own waffles and toasted bagels in lobby deal with cold, tasteless scrambled eggs probably from a mix? This restaurant has an interesting idea that doesn't really work. You are allowed to order two items at a time. Each round came back completely wrong, slow and cold. The fruit salad and honey biscuits were fine. I will try a lunch or dinner but the bruch should be avoided. The service was clumsy and forgetful. Maybe they will work our some wrinkles in a still new restaurant and up their game. Too bad for a choice spot! Time will tell. Thanks for your visit and feedback. Sorry to hear our brunch wasn't your thing. It is possible that was the weekend that we had just started the brunch so we might have been working out some of the kinks. Hope you come back soon!

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Sud
We enjoyed eating at this Friday's location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and filling! Nice place to stop.

A student type of restaurant just around the corner from the University of Maryland in College Park. It offers board games for the patrons to play which enjoying their food, beer or coffee. All 3 of us had the Pesto Chicken sandwiches on ciabatta bread. We all enjoyed this tasty dish which included a slice of tomato, marinated grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, a Basil Pesto, and melted Provolone cheese. Our waitress had very little understanding of the many premium beers they serve and could not come up with an equivalent to a good Pilsner. Otherwise service was average.

Stopped here on a business trip with my friends. They have nice seafood menu that is reasonably priced. Wide selection of beer to include Yuengling on draft which is always awesome. Plenty of TVs to watch whatever sport you are interested in.

There is no redeeming quality to this place period. The Chile was God awful (we tried two different kinds). My wife ordered salmon (questionable call I know) and it was inedible. On top of that the place feels old and kind or dirty. Choose somewhere else.

Everything was freshly made and delicious. I had Cuban pananni sandwich with side salad. My daughter had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens. My son had the shrimp and chicken chorizo pasta. All great. Atmosphere was fun.

Visited from out of town and found this place on TripAdvisor. Husband had fish and chips (good, and the fries were excellent) and I had the Steak Kroketten (flat iron steak with Kroketten potatoes), which was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Overall a cute place. Hefe beer was a little hoppy for our likes and the hard cider was just ok. Nice stop overall, would go back again. 30 minute wait on a Sunday night at around 6pm

After a long day of sales, thought I'd go next door and give the Old Line Bistro a shot. First, you walk thru a spacious, well stocked liquor store, huge wine & beer selection. The Bistro is in the back, also spacious with tables and a long, L shaped sit down bar. The menu is limited but intriguing. I ordered a craft brew and spaghetti squash with prawns. Excellent! So good, I went again the following night. Fried Brussel sprouts (The best!) and sauteed zucchini & squash appetizer with a hamburger to go (Thursday is hamburger special night). Highly recommend. Thanks so much for stopping by Old Line and taking the time to leave us this wonderful review, we really appreciate it. It's great hearing how much our guests enjoy the unique experience we've created here, thank you for mentioning some of the highlights from your visit. We'll see you next time you stop by, have a great week!

Jimmy, makes excellent mixed drinks - give it awhile before you order a second! Love the feel of this place - nice but not stuffy. Between me, and family & friends - have had most of the food on menu - all quite good. My favorites = crab dip, steak-n- cheese, and their chili. Had a filet mignon the other night - tasty and cooked perfectly! Busy Happy Hour - guess I'm not the only one who likes this place...I am glad you had a good time...spread the news. Thanks
