I guess, if you are into fried catfish, this is the place to go. But if you are not, you're out of luck. There is virtually nothing on the menu that's healthy eating. Place looks beat up and down, plastic tablecloth worn off and unappealing. Choice of beer very limited. I am not going back.**

We are a family restaurant and brewery committed to provide community through great food and beverages. Kitchen closes at 10:00pm every night except 8pm on Sundays.
Street parking available nearby. I went on a wed, it was not too packed. The waitress was very gracious, knowledgeable and friendly. Funfact: The place is named after the 1959 film "Plan 9 from outer space" . It was dubbed the worst movie ever! I tried the 3 carnitas tacos $8 and the 2 towns ciderhouse - Ginja Ninja $6. I loved the salsa they used, it was citrusy but not too spicy. They have a good selection of beer, wine and ciders. Monthly events for children and adults (they have a small kids area).

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
The fact that On the Border is a mexican restaurant is an understatement! We went for Happy Hour yesterday to grab some drinks and appetizers. My lady had a mango margarita and I had 2 regular margaritas for $5 each. We also ordered up a couple of their happy hour appetizers: 3 Stuffed Jalapeños and 3 Mini BBQ Pork Brisket Tacos. The jalapenos were delicious, not too spicy or hot The mini tacos were indeed mini, easily eaten in a couple bites. The whole experience came under $30 before the tip. Our servers did a great job, and the bar are was spotless! We shall return!

We ate lunch here today. We ordered and the waitress Brittany brought our salads out. As she set them down she said oh your meal is ready.Do you want me to bring it out or leave it in the back until you're ready. We said just bring it out. We each ordered the fall trio. Steak, lobster and shrimp. My steak was cooked correct but tough. My wife's lobster was 3 little half bites of strips.I said let's send it back, but the wife said no. Let's just eat it and get out of here.We have eaten here several times and it was always great. But today no.Although previous visits have always been great, we're saddened your recent experience missed the mark. Please send an email to [email protected] including your phone number and a copy of this review, as we want to make sure this is addressed and work to regain your confidence. Respectfully, Jacquie W., Guest Relations Manager

We like it here. Parking is free and adequate. Access includes a ramp for those with issues. The interior is really open, although a bit noisy. The bar area is huge and often very populated with various early diner offers. At this time of year they offer a $100 gift card with a bonus of a $25 limited time use bonus card, a limited time discount card of 20% off and two free bar glasses. We have done this two years now. Order the card first, that way you can use it to pay for your current meal. We will use the bonus card in January. Lots of choices of food. They have a bonus program for members. Daily specials make eating here reasonable to cheap depending on your budget. You can split an entrée if you wish. Service is always good, although we come late for lunch or early for dinner, so they are usually not as busy.

Service with a smile? Forget it. Large portions? NOPE! Wait for your check? Yes, we're going to be here awhile. The place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Our server seemed like he did not want to be there. No personality. No smile. Poker faced with monotone speech. Ordered the grilled asparagus for $7.50. He brought back a basket of 5 stalks!!! Yes, FIVE. (See photo below) When I asked him if it was the correct amount he replied: " It's more quality over quantity." Ridiculous. I can go to Sammy's and get a basket full. I tried to contact them via email. No response. I don't see any responses on here either. Strong indicator that the owner simply doesn't care.

Tucked in a shopping mall, it is almost difficult for visitors to find off 421 Felicitia Avenue in the supermarket mall. The exterior is a mixture of Hawaiian and California seafood restaurant style. Once inside near the reception desk, there are cork net floats strung on rope that give away the retro design ambience. As you enter, there are several seating options in the big high ceiling bar area, or a more intimate lounge area near the patio. Our waitress, Sara, was hire for her beauty and charm, and the cute waiters were nice too. She was an accomplished server, and she did an excellent job in helping guest navigate the menu. The reports came back the clam chowder and fish taco was very good, but our table picked the grilled ahi twice. Dessert oh hum brownie that was lacking vitality, but the food and service surpassed the decor!

We've enjoyed the customary Irish dishes and O'Sullivans has them, but the seafood boxty is a special treat. It is salmon, cod and scallops wrapped in a potato pancake and covered with a cream sauce. The lobster bisque was excellent as well.My wife enjoyed her corned beef and cabbage as well.Service was pleasant and efficient. Seems to be a favorite with local residents.

Recently Lynn and I and friends had a delightful lunch at The Brigantine Seafood Restaurant while visiting Escondido. We ate in the bar area, but we were able to use the Lunch menu which ended at 2:30. We were there just a few minutes before. The restaurant also offered a small bites bar menu. I had a most incredible half Lobster Crab Cobb salad....$13.25. I mean, I was the envy of the restaurant with this dish..lots of seafood..and huge. Lynn had a cup of clam chowder ($5.50) and the Crab Shrimp Fondue ($13.50). everything was good and creative at The Brigantine. Rachel, our server was excellent too. This is a hidden treat. We may go back on this trip.

My husband and I were here on Saturday, September 7th and our friend came and joined us. We all had an AMAZING time! There was a wait for a table and both bars (inside and outside) were full so we ventured out into the garden and it was FABULOUS! There were NO crowds, great bar with excellent service and the ambiance was FANTASTIC! We had to keep delaying our lunch reservation because we were so happy out there in the garden, we wanted to stay out there longer and we went back out there after lunch. Lunch with Laura serving us was excellent. It was a full restaurant and they were busy but Laura was so attentive, sweet and engaging. She made an already fun day even more delightful. The food was delicious and so were our drinks. Laura was GREAT! Thank you for a wonderful day!Thank you Anna for the detailed feedback and the amazing rating. So great to hear about your experience and I will share with you server Laura and celebrate her excellence. Can't wait till your next visit, see you soon.
