The Pub at the Heart of the community. The Carnock Inn draws people from all walks of life together to celebrate the old fashioned art of conversation while enjoying good beer, fantastic selection of Gins and a wine list that will keep you smiling for a l
We hadn't been here for years and were really impressed with the friendly service and quality of the meals. We ordered a lot of different starters and mains and everything was piping hot & very tasty. I would recommend the baked chicken with the haggis stack! Sadly, no room for desserts (this time) but we'll be back. Our two grandsons enjoyed the kid's menu too.

Been some time since we have been in, will not be backThe toilets are disgusting, as they were the last time we were here, and cook uses them, so good luck if you ever eat in here as womens toilets covered in excrementBut the worst bit was the barmaid, i think her name was LEE had her dog with her and it was running round the lounge and pished against one of the chairs where meals are served, totally disgustingThis place needs a visit from the council and closed down, toilets shocking where food is being served and now dog urine in lounge carpetAlso very poor service we saw 4 people come in to lounge and leave as no bar staff in attendance they were 2 staff on and they both went out at same time for a smoke leaving both bars unattended

I have nothing but praise for the food in this establishment, it was excellent when we visited several weeks ago, we must point out that we regularly use this hotel and yes it has had some turbulent times in changing hands recently and staff training could be doing with a brush up which we believe is in hand, however we must say that we have NEVER found the cutlery to be dirty, and the food quality we had was excellent, I had Moule Mariniere to start which was to my taste, my Wife had a sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection, and I thoroughly enjoyed the venison casserole, yes there were some problems with the service but to brutalise the place for it by someone who lives in the vicinity and purports to have eaten all over the world is sad beyond belief, we can only think there are ulterior motives, I have truly eaten all over the world and in over 150 countries, some good - some not so good as my profile will bear out and I have never been too detrimental in my opinion, suffice to say I have been in the catering trade all my life and seen some downright damning reviews but I do not like lies being told to bring down any establishment, stick to the facts!Hello,Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Thank you for raising these concerns to me in person and allowing me to explain plans we have put in place for the future to improve on the service you received on your last visit. Your feedback has enabled us to put a rigerus training program in place for front of house staff. We're glad you enjoyed your food and hope to see you back at the Tormaukin soon.Best Wishes, Connie

The family run Faodail offers a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a delicious seasonal fayre as well as "auld favourites" that we all know and love (especially our beloved steak pie) We are open 7days a week and offer a great breakfast e
First visit & definitely won't be the last, amazing food & lovely friendly yet unobtrusive service. My husband & uncle both had the roast duck leg with all the trimmings, best they had eaten in a long time were the comments, I had the roast chicken which was beautiful, clean plates all round! My uncle & I had the Wimbledon cheesecake to follow & my husband had the banoffee cheesecake, all delicious! Really annoyed I never took any photos of our food or the lovely restaurant, will definitely be our go to place for any future birthdays, family gatherings etc!I am so glad you all enjoyed your meal! Shame you never got photos but thats a great excuse to come back again! Hannah and Michael x

Traditional Scottish restaurant in the heart of the Ochil Hills. Closed Mondays; Tuesday - Thursday 12-10pm (food served until 9pm), Friday and Saturday 12-11pm (food served until 10pm), Sunday 12-8pm (food served until 7pm).
We both had Cullen Skink followed by Chicken Caesar salad and both were very good. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly. It was a lovely pub, quite small but with enough room for several tables. They had several different types of gin including a Canadian one.It was easy to find and we could park outside with no problem. We would definitely use this pub again if we lived in the area but we were just passing through on our way to visit family in Edinburgh.

This place is ideal for drinking and eating.Mainly used by friendly locals you will be welcomed as a visitor On one occasion I was there the restaurant was closed and a local person offered to drive some visitors to the next village to get a quality meal.A wide selection of drinks and food although basic is of a high quality.Weekends can be busy with folks watching sports tv.Overall a great little place to have a drink, eat some good food and mingle with the locals.

On our trip to Stirling we passed by this inn and we were attracted by its appearance. It certainly is a place with history! The main reason for stopping however was that we wanted to have a small lunch and there we were certainly not disappointed. A large choice of dishes on the blackboard with some classics but also decent local food. We went for the pork roast with apple and really enjoyed it. The prices are correct and the choice of drinks is vast. What more do you want in a historic but cosy inn?
