Good food is always complimented by an excellent wine. The wine list at Grill House is an experience. Management have gone out of their way to ensure you can pair a great wine with an excellent meal, be it a meat or fish. Service was great, had a long chat to the manager who really seems to have his finger on the pulse of hospitality. If you are in Dar and you don't visit the Grill House, you only have yourself to blame.Hi Kim,Thank you so much for the lovely review. Our wine list does compliment the steak offered quite well and glad you enjoyed the full experience of Grill House. Hope to see you again.Regards,Nick

The day after my arrival in Dar, this was the first restaurant I visited. Man, what a fantastic panoramic view! The restaurant is a comfortable, relaxed space situated on a rooftop. Great views and photo opportunities allow the capture of nearby neighborhoods and the ocean at a distance. The menu included steaks and seafood. However, we opted for a lunch of tapas and cocktails which were delicious. I also enjoyed my very first Kilimanjaro beer. I highly recommend this restaurant as a great stop in Das Es Salaam.

In 2014 Henry and Eddie a Brit and a Kiwi respectively opened up The Slow Leopard. With a gourmet fast casual burger menu based on fresh and local ingredients they have been cooking up a storm. With an active bar showing all the big sporting events on the
Nice place to have a tasty burger (best in Dar), a cold beer and watch sports - especially rugby in good company. All at a reasonable price. Unofficial clubhouse of the Dar Leopards rugby team, this is a good place to check out the Dar rugby scene. They also do live music nights with local artists.

The restaurant is nice and has a nice and cool atmoshere with good music. The food has been disappointing however. We asked for lamb chops and have even been asked if we would like them ',medium'. So, you would expect a good quality. The reality was poor. The meat was chewy and there were more bones than meat. What a disappointment. In addition the price was excessive compared to the quality of the meat.

I'm not usually a huge fan of tapas bars, so Veranda was a nice surprise. The portions were actually much bigger than I was expecting--so bring an appetite and plenty of friends--and the atmosphere was lovely but also chill (read: not snooty, as some tapas bars can be). The food itself was delicious, with quite a big variety of both seafood and veg dishes, and the service was fine, no complaints there. Would go here again, and would recommend it to others.

We went for the Hout Bay Platter which includes tilapia, squid, octopus, prawns, fish cakes and lobster.Cooked to perfection and extremely tasty it represents very good value at 159,000 TZS.Located right by the sea with a view of the bay, the location is excellent too. Small fishing boats coming and going adds to the atmosphere.Service attentive and friendly.Definitely a must if youâre in Dar and like fish.

I truly enjoyed the enthusiastic and well-trained waiters at this Café. The snack and coffee we had was great, and the Chocolate volcano was scrumptious.
