(this review is for the lunch service only)I have visited Clark's three times for lunch over the past few weeks. I will not go again,The first visit was fair. The burger was above average tasting, but a little expensive when you consider that you have to stand in line to order, then get your own drink. For the second visit I tried their Rueben. The bread was thicker than Texas toast and they were not overly generous with the meat. (They need to switch those proportions around.)The service was not very quick on the first two visits, but since the burger was tasty, I thought I would give them one more try. There was a few people in front of me so I waited about 10 minutes to order. Then I waited 38 minutes to get my burger and fries after I ordered. While waiting for my food, I got a drink refill and they cleared my table! When I finally got my lunch, the order was wrong, was sent back, and arrived slightly less wrong the second time. (i had asked for no tomatoes and got a naked burger. The second time, I got half the items I asked the server for.)This adventure started at 1140am on a weekday. The restaurant was not very crowded and there were 8-10 people ordering about the time I did. It never did completely fill up. Yet the servers appeared to be slammed. If you only have an hour for lunch, I would skip this place.

Restaurant and wine bar with a full bar located in Downtown Hillsboro. THE MENU LINK ON THIS SITE IS NOT UP TO DATE. Our menu changes seasonally, please call us for current offerings.
Following an art show up the street, we walked to this little place in downtown Hillsboro. On a Tuesday night, it was practically empty by 7 pm and fully empty by 8:45 pm. The decor is funky-interesting, and outdoor dining is also possible depending on the weather. The menu is full of interesting sandwiches and lighter fare, and their appetizer menu has at least 10 different offerings--all of which could just about be a meal! Their specialty is Hungarian Mushroom Soup, made fresh daily and available in mildly spicy and then much spicier versions--really delicious. The mushroom content was adequate but a bit limited for my taste. Others with us enjoyed their housemade hummus (quite garlicky), the fig and brie appetizer, and the layered tomato and goat cheese appetizer loaded with roasted garlic, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil (all good). They even offer a selection of desserts from Papa Haydn's, a Portland favorite! Service was very friendly, just a tad slow, but there was one waitress with diners outside and a very long walk from the kitchen to the outside. All in all, a very pleasant and delicious experience!

Burgers and ice tea and fries and kettle chips. Great experience. Dark rundown place but sweet server, friendly cook. Enjoyed ourselves.

We wanted a light lunch and found that this place had several salads on the menu. The portions are generous and well cut and mixed. Not too much dressing. My husbands salad was nicely dressed and tossed. Mine barely had any dressing on it, - Id rather that than swimming. Anyway, with the goat cheese I didn't miss the lack of dressing. I'd go back to try other menu items. Staff very helpful and courteous.

On a very warm afternoon, we had lunch under the trees and umbrellas, with our dog at our feet, at Pat's Corner. The menu included all the McMenamins' usual offerings. The pork sandwich and a cheeseburger were our choices, along with some McMenamins' brews.Service by Victoria was friendly and efficient, and we lingered a long while, taking turns exploring the rest of the Grand Lodge while our dog stayed cool in the shade. This park-like venue was the perfect refuge from the heat, and we'll probably be back!

The first time I ate here, after my return to Oregon, was being feted by 12 relatives, in honor of my birthday. I had steak, that night, which was excellently prepared! Even though the restaurant was full, it did not impact the swiftness and cordiality of the wait staff that was attending to us.The next time I visited, was in the company of my wife. There is a movie theater, a couple of floors up, which shows first run movies; more about that in another review. Back to dinner; that night I enjoyed fish; excellently prepared; and I also had French Fries, with Truffle Sauce. I have never had better Fries in my life. We sat in a quiet, almost exclusive corner, where we could pay attention to each other, without the pressure of being near other people. Again, the waitress was cordial and attentive.I returned, another time, with two friends. We were being light and jovial, with no end to the stories and laughs that we shared. There was a great selection of beers, both draft and bottled, from which to choose. This was a day for burgers, which were of a nice proportion, and delicious! I was compelled to get those Truffle Fries again! We had a great time together, and the food was a great part of our conviviality! As you can see, I am reviewing three meals, which the choices below, have no way of recording; but I had to give the readers a better idea of the various settings.

A recent dinner showed an improved and broader menu. The daily specials seem to be authentic and well prepared. I enjoyed Saturdayâs special of shrimp and andouille sausage with fettuccini in a cream sauce. It was served with cornbread which was quite good. The booths seem worn out and surely sag quite a bit. Theyâre ready for replacement. This is a sports bar and youâre surrounded by tvs. The overall noise level is a bit high in the dining areas. Itâs time to lower the noise level to match the improved menu.
