Never been a HUGE fan of this venue, but this visit was better than most. I mean, we actually got a server after about 5 minutes. The music is a little loud and inhibits conversation, but I understand... It's a happy hour bar in a College town. At least our server, Juliet, was happy, peppy, and generally cordial. The food wasn't too bad this round, either. Oh, and the Spicy Passion fruit margarita was really good... Even if it wasn't hand shaken, served tableside, as the menu suggested.

Service so so. Some courses took ages to arrive. When the entree arrived after the starter the table was crammed with crockery, we had to ask the server to clear some away as they clearly didnât recognise this was necessary. Salmon. Over cooked & swimming in oil. Unpleasant.

Maintenance person needs to check the seating. It should all be the standard for basic seating, booth or not. My booth seat was so low, my plate was in my face and my arms were way above where they should have been. The BBQ sauce was on my coat sleeve by the middle of dinner. I finally turned my plate around. Too late, now a cleaning bill. The food: I ordered FRENCH, THAT'S FRENCH ONION SOUP. The recipe had never even peeped into a French Cookbook. I did not recognize the spice, herb or whatever it was in the soup. BUT IT WAS NOT FRENCH. More like Maryland Onion whatever. The cost: Rather high, however, they commit the crime that most American restaurants also commit....huge plates and they fill them, Then charge way too much but they justify that by saying...look how much you got. Most is trashed. Cut the size of the plate and the price 10-15%. I brought half of my dinner home. The gratuity: I knew the tip was going to be on the bill, no matter what. Ah, there's the rub.......the wrong way. I am a big tipper usually, but don't tell me I have to tip 18% or 20% or 1 %. If I spend over $35 for dinner, I can make up my own mind. Much depends on the server. Mine forgot my take-home bag until I stopped the server and reminded the server I was waiting. No problem. We were having a good conversation. The BBQ sauce. MUST SAY MMMMMMMMMMM very good. NOT HOT as some chefs are inclined to do. Pour on the HOT stuff. NOT this. Very good. and the meat did just fall off the bone. The UTUBE Video is right. Eat BB Ribs with your fingers and hands. Just keep wiping. That's enough. Would I go back? Many would go back. No, it's not my kind of place. Take care of the seating. Evaluate the menu and mounds of food on the plate. Put lettuce on the end of the plate with a slice a red pickled apple on the plate. ...Anything but calorie loaded something or other. Trim the prices. Shut up on tips. Hope to hear from my neighbor that this had been done.HelenThanks for your visit and your review. I'm glad you enjoyed College Park Grill. Sorry you didn't love the booths, we tried to adjust them so they would work for most people. If you don't love them, we do have other seating options and you can request not to sit in a booth next time. I just want to clarify that we don't add gratuity to the bill, but like most restaurants today we add the suggested tip to help the customer know what it would be. We had been asked for this for years at our other establishments, so we have it on the bottom, but just as a guide. We are glad you go to take your leftovers home and extend you meal to the next day. We look forward to serving you again soon, and thanks for choosing College Park Grill.Adam, Che and Dan

My girlfriend, my friends, their toddler, and I all went to Burtonâs recently. We were a challenging group. My girlfriend and I have allergy concerns, and of course toddlers are always challenging. We made a reservation, but they messed the reservation up. That said, they quickly fixed the problem. From then on, things went smoothly. Our waitress was fantastic. She was efficient, friendly, helpful, and really seemed to take an interest in making sure our meal went well. They were very accommodating about all our allergy concerns, and they also did well dealing with finding food for a toddler. My meal (a modified pasta carbonara) was terrific, and everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. My girlfriend was happy that they had gluten-free Udiâs buns for her burger. I will continue to try to stop at Burtonâs every time that I am in an area that has one. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There's nothing common about The Common, a dynamic academia-inspired casual pub featuring sophisticated style and delicious substance. Great minds gather here in Hyattsville to enjoy regionally inspired food and libations, connect with free Wi-Fi, catch a
Wish there were more choices on the dinner menu. I have stayed at this hotel four times and the menu is always the same and very limited! Same entrees for lunch and dinner. The Sea Bass with sweet potato purée was delicious but very expensive for such a small piece and small side. The next night when I ordered salmon I also ordered a salad and side vegetable since the entrees are so small. You can add chicken or salmon to any salad and that is great. The spinach salad with blue cheese and apricots and almonds was delicious but they offered no bread or crackers so the meal seemed skimpy. My waiter said the salad with meat was more food than if I had ordered the salmon entree since that only comes with a sprig of broccoli or some Other vegetables as a garnish. Seems they should add grain or potatoes to the entree and some bread to the salads. Overall the servings are small and I noticed a lot of guests ordering desserts--clearly their meals did not fill them. Breakfast they have a lovely buffet. But I was in a hurry to get to work so I just ordered their yogurt parfait and coffee. Service was swift. The restaurant was filled with families (college kids) and swim teams and conference attendees and it was an exciting friendly vibe for both meals.

A student type of restaurant just around the corner from the University of Maryland in College Park. It offers board games for the patrons to play which enjoying their food, beer or coffee. All 3 of us had the Pesto Chicken sandwiches on ciabatta bread. We all enjoyed this tasty dish which included a slice of tomato, marinated grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, a Basil Pesto, and melted Provolone cheese. Our waitress had very little understanding of the many premium beers they serve and could not come up with an equivalent to a good Pilsner. Otherwise service was average.

Stopped here on a business trip with my friends. They have nice seafood menu that is reasonably priced. Wide selection of beer to include Yuengling on draft which is always awesome. Plenty of TVs to watch whatever sport you are interested in.

There is no redeeming quality to this place period. The Chile was God awful (we tried two different kinds). My wife ordered salmon (questionable call I know) and it was inedible. On top of that the place feels old and kind or dirty. Choose somewhere else.

Everything was freshly made and delicious. I had Cuban pananni sandwich with side salad. My daughter had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens. My son had the shrimp and chicken chorizo pasta. All great. Atmosphere was fun.

The food is hit-or-miss and Mike has resisted including many vegan or vegetarian options, despite a growing range of tasty options. It's geared towards folks who like a super loud (aka "vibrant") atmosphere. I prefer to hear my table mates.Been going for 20-some years. Love the shop and his leadership in the community, but we've found the restaurant lackluster, given the growing options.
