Originally Irish pub, which was during the passage of time and events gradually re-grafted from the inn and "taproom" with largest selection of drafted beers in town up to the current smoke-free brewery form. Worldunique? Impossible? Nonsense !!! It works
Busy pub packed with young arty type people with a nice atmosphere. Cheap beer and good friendly staff. Thanks for the review. Cheap beer for everyone!! :-)

This is one of the few establishments in Ceske Budejovice where one can enjoy good jazz music.Food is a huge gamble- either it is delicious (the chicken salad), or absolutely horrifyingly bad (whatever you do, don't go for their burritos- you will basically get school cafeteria grade risotto wrapped in a burrito). Be careful. As mentioned by other reviewers, the staff has an attitude problem.

We visited a couple of times. First, just for beer which is all Budvar and all good. In the evening we went in for food. Not so good. The waiting staff very friendly, but it took over an hour for our food to arrive, and then the fries on my wife's burger were cold and undercooked. The bar itself is new and is nicely decorated, but they really need to sort the kitchen out.

Traditional style of Café, with great offer of coffees, hot drinks and home-made cakes and desserts, as well as wide range of wines, including Italian, French, German, Austrian and local wines.
Very nice and cosy place for a breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and glass of wine or prosecco right in the heart of the town of Budweis - at the mail square. No matter whether you are with a boyfriend, group of friends, family or a business partner you can choose from different locations and corners within the café according to you needs. Quality coffee and wine and perfect service. Hello, I appreciate the time you spent by writing such a nice review! Thank you for that time and I would by very pleased you stop by when you go around next time! We look forward! With kind regards, Ondrej

This restaurant was recommended to us by our house host, and we were not disappointed. They offer Czech dishes but also non standard typical stuff. The service was prompt and friendly. They serve Staropramen beers and all sorts of cocktails and local wines. We liked it so much we visited the I restaurant in Plzen as well.Thank you for visiting

I visited this bar many times, when the bar was located in ChelÄického street. I really love this bar! Design is changed, more exclusive with beautiful high ceiling. The bar is located in a former warehouse of salt, which enhances the atmosphere of the bar. Cocktail list is simple but self- sufficient. The only problem I have with snack. Snacks are posh I miss something small to bite. There are olive and peanuts, that is all. Other snacks are too posh, such as venison pasties etc. I miss tortilla chips which were served in past. Coctails are amazing! The menu is dived into few parts like "our cocktails", "well-know cocktails", "film-cocktails", "non-alcoholic cocktails" etc.The staff is super friendly.

U Cerneho Konicka is an excellent two-room (bar and restaurant) people's pub, with plenty of locals present when I visited at 5pm. Furnishings are simple, with breweriana photos and over sixty enamel adverts on the walls. Service was friendly and attentive.Four beers were on tap, including Kvasnicory Platan Tanku, Lobkowicz and Merlin Cerny, all in top condition and a delight to savour as a change from the usual Budvar and Urquell. The Pony is situated 15 minutes' walk from the main Square, and is well worth a visit.

Made a booking weeks before arriving. Its a popular watering hole very near to town center. Lots of locals and I think some were surprised as we were the only asians and a family. Ordered the beef steak, roast pork Czech dish, a bratwurst. Food was amazing. The original location Budweis dark and classic were absolutely smooth. Prices were reasonable and service was good. People were generally friendly. Glad we visited this beer hall!.

I usually donât eat at the #1 or #2 place in a city. Theyâre usually overpriced and pretentious. I am so happy that I chose #3 for my one and only dinner in this lovely city. Excellent beer, fast and very authentically friendly service and delicious food. I will absolutely return.
