Fell into the bar (no pun intended) and immediately felt at home. Saul (owner) does a nice job of welcoming people as they come in.Good selection of beers and an alcoholic RootBeer which was outstanding! Saul recommended the street tacos and they were "real" Mexican style.Very casual and very eclectic clientele. Good fun place while we were there.

I am not usually a fan of sports-type restaurants, so when it was decided that that was the place we were going for a late night supper, I reluctantly agreed. I was very pleasantly surprised upon entering. Even though there were many overhead TVs, none were blaring. There were people at tables and around the bar, but conversations were low pitched. The décor and atmosphere were cordial to enjoying a nice meal. I canât say that this would be the case during the Super Bowl or during playoffs, and the like, but we timed it just right for us, this time. The wait staffs were informative and attentive, but not obtrusive. The menu was complete, yet affordable and the drinks were worth the money. They have appetizers that are sharable. We had steak and it was tender and cooked just right. Prices were consistent with other restaurants of this type. We were happily full upon departing the restaurant. It was nice to find out that they are open daily to midnight during the week and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. For us, it was a great alternative to the 24/7 restaurants that are your usual choices and, this Applebeeâs is on the West side of the Valley, so it was very convenient for us.I was impressed with the overall dining experience.

This is a locals favorite. This is not your typical burger joint, it is a classic tavern with great burgers prepared fresh daily by Ed, Georges son who has passed. He has a special recipe that is wonderful, but under no conditions should you ask for ketchup on your burger or even add it yourself, Ed does not allow ketchup on his burgers as it ruins the taste of the meat. Penalty is he takes the burger away from you and asks you to leave. No joke, it's true. He also serves great homemade french fries, it's OK to ketchup on them. If you try'em you'll keep coming back, they're great.

We made reservations for 6 o'clock on Saturday evening, and while there were a few people in the bar, the restaurant was empty. We ordered scallops, which were very good, chicken marsala, less good, and linguini and clams. The scallops and chicken arrived in short order, but the waitress told us that the kitchen forgot about the clams. (?) They arrived later, after my companions started on their dinner. The good news was that they were hot. The clams were plentiful and the linguini was in a broth, not a cream sauce, which was excellent. During dinner, the regular crowd shuffled in, mostly seniors (very senior) who are apparently regulars and live in the mobile home park that surrounds the restaurant. It was open mic night, but we left before it started and the place was packed by the time we walked out. Would we go back? Maybe for the clams, but otherwise not so fast...

Welcome back to the days when the only thing that mattered was being cool. How do you like your martini - shaken or stirred? Does prime rib sound best, or would sea bass suit your taste. Excellent food, fine service, great nightly entertainment. Itâs Happ
What is better at Happy Hour than having some great live music! The evening we were there they had a wonderful soloist singing lots of the old "lounge classics". Nice to have that type of music where you can still talk between yourselves without the music blarring in the background. We ended up at Bernie's because we saw their ad on TV and wanted to try somewhere new for happy hour. We were glad we did as the food was very good and so was our server. We went fairly early and got a great table.
