The children really enjoyed the level of service and how they got to create their own mocktails. Everyone was very friendly. They showed us the recipe and allowed us to follow the instructions step by step. The children enjoyed sitting outside on the benches and the decor inside.A brilliant morning to celebrate American Independence Day making their own mocktails. Would definately recommend it.

English Italian Restaurant & Bar Beer Garden ,Family & Pet Friendly. Real cask Ales Function room ,Pool Table and Darts
This place has been a favourite of ours, but our latest visit was so disappointing. The pork was chewy. The crumble was cold and so was the custard. My friends coffee was served in a dirty cup, and when we complained about it, the waitress did take it away, but when it was brought back, it just looked as though the cup had been wiped and there was still some dirty marks on the cup. After complaining again, we were told to just forget about the coffee!!! My other friend did get a free glass of wine because of the chewy pork. I donât know if there is a new chef, or whether it was just a bad day. Our friends come from Yorkshire, so it was disappointing, as you try to make the weekend nice for visitors.

My wife & I have been here twice since the refurbishment & the new management,& have found the service, the food & the beers were of a very high standard. When we called again last week, we were welcomed by the owner & the young girl ( who does the nails etc) who remembered us from our previous visits, we were shown to our table & given the menu's to browse. After a short while our order was taken, ( I had the belly pork & my wife had the steak pie) the belly pork was absolutely delicious, & my wife also enjoyed the steak pie. We had the Bread & butter pudding which was really very tasty & coffee afterwards. We were chatting to the landlady after the meal & suggested that they re- introduce the 'Pensioners Special', & she said they were updating the menu that evening & would consider this option, ( I hope they include this option, as the food is sufficient sized portions for the older client) & more affordable. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for good food, BUT would call more often if this option was made available.

Traditional family run country pub, serving great food using quality local produce. Full of character and a friendly, warm atmosphere.
Very friendly and inviting pub with lovely staff in the centre of Dalston. We all had a roast beef dinner served with mash, roast potato and parsnip, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower cheese and not forgetting the all important Yorkshire pudding. The food was delicious and we didnât wait long for our food to arrive considering it was quite busy. Highly recommended

It was a surprise party for a friend there was 5 people it was probably one of the worst meals I have had,I ordered steak and bacon burger and chips ,the burger was raw inside and the outside of the burger was burned,I complained to the waiter and he said the inside was paprika not raw ,but it was raw,the outside was definitely burnt,we got no explanation or apology from anyone,so for dessert I ordered treacle tart and when it arrived the waiter said to tell me the chef said he had given it extra heat so that it is well done ,it was burnt around the front edge, I said to the waiter it was a very bad mannered thing to say to me from the chef,it tasted awful,so I said I wasn't prepared to pay for the main course which they agreed to,so to sum up the meal was terrible, with an ignorant chef who needs a lesson in good manners I won't be back.Hello and thanks for the review Iâd just first of all to sincerely apologise. A simple tongue and cheek joke has totally been taken the wrong way and I again can only apologise. We at the old bank take every little piece of criticism on board with what anyone says regards any dish we send out. Our burgers contain minced smoked bacon which remains its colour when cooked. So when our burger is cooked fully the steak mince turns a dark brown colour which is standard for a well done burger as that is what we serve. The bacon stays a slight pink tinge to the meat as again once this is cooked fully it remains the same colour. The burgers are seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and paprika which again my give a light tinge of red. But I can honestly say after cooking for 17 years that I would hold up my hands if anything was raw and I would of been 100% prepared to have produced another burger for yourself. On a health, hygiene and safety matter you burger was a test on our daily probing which your hunger reached the temperature over 75 degrees for over 3 minutes as stated in legalisation so again am not really sure how this can be stated as ârawâ. Our manager checked on yourself when you brought this to our attention and he assured you of the above. When it came to clearing yes there was a little bit left but from the above I can only give the explanation to what I have stated. Once again we tried to lighten the situation with a little remark which we have done once with another table who did relax the situation, however today it did not and as I have done above I can only apologise. If anyone has any criticism regards food quality here at the old bank, we prefer to sort the situation out in at the time to leave people feeling happier when leaving. I felt unfortunately though even with the above explanation regards your burger there wasnât any let up from yourself of your feelings of this been ârawâ hence why we deducted it from the bill but again we would have had no hesitation to do this in any other situation. If the customer doesnât think itâs right then we are happy to look at discount or not to charge at all If you would like to contact me further please email me at [email protected] thanks again Matt RaysonOwner

What a venue â modern, contemporary and glitzy! We visited for the first time recently to attend 4 birthdays from the same family all in one hit. The place is refreshing and has two bars, plenty of space for the buffet, and a DJ and dance floor. The staff are really friendly and there is plenty of free parking â everything you need for your celebration â I know we enjoyed ours and the best bit for me â they sell Plymouth Gin!

Think of the Wheatsheaf as a place to relax. For people looking for comfort to socialise where it is as much about drinking as eating think "The Wheatsheaf Inn".The Wheatsheaf is about value for money, your need to escape, to relax and enjoy, somewhere wh
On a three night stay at the local Premier Inn we could have easily have eaten here three out of three - except that Saturday was full. Just what everyone else says: good food in a pub setting. That means still having room for the drinkers that gave the place pub atmosphere. Sadly we ran out of space to try the interesting deserts on offer. If you're a desert person, pace yourself. Superb range of vegetables, wonderful chips and own cooked nachos.

The Plough Inn was refurbished with handmade brickwork and granite slabs, under floor heating adding to the warm, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere in 2005. The bar has been built using hand-made bricks rescued from an old Cumbrian mill race, decorating i
Went here last night for a birthday meal with a group of eight. As usual, absolutely beautiful food. The Chef came to the table to discuss options and was very funny and informative. The young ladies serving food and drinks were so efficient and polite, they are a credit to the place. The Landlord was his usual pleasant, hilarious self, heâs brilliant. Thank you all so much for another perfect dining experience.Wow lovely comments and Iâm upset I wasnât around to say hello. Iâm so pleased you had a lovely meal. Look forward to seeing you again.
