We have three options for serving water, a small bottle which usually is enough for one person, a large bottle for larger groups, or, free tap water. We hope to see you again! We stopped here for a quick launch. The menu contains the typical Belgian lunch dishes, nothing overly exciting. Food was good. Portions are really huge so if you're a big eater, this is definitely a place for you.

The evening started well and we were given the menus and the owner explained the specialities, one of which was goats cheese salad with honey dressing and pine nuts. We are 3 girlfriends, 2 of us are vegetarian, and my friend ordered this salad. When it came, the salad was covered in bacon and the cheese wrapped in bacon too. My friend, who speaks flemmish, asked the owner if he could exchange it with a vegetarian version as there had been no indication of bacon on this seemingly vegetarian salad when he had explained it to us.The owner immediately became aggressive and rude and said that he could not change the salad, he could only remove the bacon and give her back the same salad. His tone was unprofessional, uncooperative and extremely rude. When we tried to leave he locked us in the restaurant and called the police until we paid for a dinner we didnât have. We offered to pay for the drinks and the starter but he refused to let us leave until we paid for the salad with bacon we didnât order.Awful experience, I cannot stress enough how traumatic it was.

Welcome to Café Vlissinghe, the oldest pub Bruges. Already since 1515, Café Vlissinghe is hiding in the beautiful Saint-Anne quarter. The unique atmosphere and the friendly ambience make Vlissinghe a favorite meeting place for Brugeans and for tourists fr
This ancient Bruges pub was pointed out to me on a bike tour of Bruges. I returned back and found it is well worth a visit. Historic is an understatement as we are talking about 4 hundred years ago. The inside is fascinating and the garden charming.I enjoyed my drink here, steeped in history. and highly recommend for pub lovers who also love history..

Oldfashioned Belgian beerhouse with around 300 Belgian beers. We also serve small snacks.Only classical music in the bar !
It doesnât look much from the outside but this bar is jam packed with character and the most amazing selection of Belgian beers. Apparently they have over 320 to choose from and many (if not all) with their own unique glass. Fantastic experience. Prop up the bar and work your way through the menu.I think it opens from 4pm most days, so a great way to start your evening.

After years of going to De Garre during frequent trips to Bruges, we have just paid our last visit. In the past, the aproned staff would effortlessly cruise around both floors of the place to ensure that everybody was happy. Orders were taken promptly and service was great, even during busy periods - which was always, really. This has dwindled over the years, but last Tuesday was the worst. First, the waitress was heavily engaged in conversation with a male customer and took ages to come and take our order. One party actually left without ordering anything as they hadn't even been acknowledged. When our bill came, we were overcharged (3 large beers and 1 small, when we'd had 2 of each), then we asked why the 1/2 sized small beer was only â¬1 less than the large - a fact not printed on the beer menu. The response was merely that the machine says that's the price. Bye bye, De Garre.Trippel de Garre (33cl) ⬠4.851/2 trippel de Garre (25cl) ⬠3.85 We think that is A normal price and not overcharged ! Everbody is still happy and we are still working like 27 years ago !! ( with 3 Floors now ! )And sometimes people need more time to explane than others! By by margeret

On our first night in Bruges our B&B host recommended Cambrinus. We really enjoyed the walk to the establishment and, since we had a reservation, we had no problem getting a nice table. Our server immediately seated us, provided a menu and took our order, then we never saw her again. She spent the rest of her time drinking beer and chatting with the bartender. Fortunately, a young server brought our food and attempted to help. We ordered the Brewerâs menu and a flight of beer. The brewerâs menu is a starter (we chose the delicious Trappist cheese which is fried), a main course (we chose Flemish carbonnade) which was tender and absolutely delicious, and creme brûlée for dessert. We both liked the Bourgogne des flandres beer. Itâs dark and delicious. I also loved the cherry beer. Our biggest issue was with our non-existent server. Since dessert came with our meal, we had to wait a long time before we could get the young serverâs attention to ask when we would get our dessert. She had no idea we had ordered the brewerâs menu because she hadnât taken our order. But, since our original server was busy talking and ignoring us, we had no choice but to ask the young server who paid attention. We felt sorry for her. She was very hard-working. Wish we had gotten her name to sing her praises. The other lady we did not like at all. Had it not been for the non-existent attention of the original server, this would have been 4 stars.

A friendly, privately run restaurant, close to the centre of Bruges. Specialising in a volonte (all you can eat) spare ribs which can be ordered succulently slow-cooked or tradional barbequed for that extra bite! Other specialities on our menu include faj
If you like ribs...book it. All you can eat, cant go wrong. Chilli and bbq sauces on the ribs were lovely. Meat fell off the bones. My stomach literally hurt from eating so much. Seemed to be fully booked so make sure you book in advance as unlikely to get a seat otherwise.

This was a wonderful little place and a haven from the crowds!. Lovely selection of beers with wacky and wonderful things for sale. What I loved most about it though was the friendliest of the owners and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time in Bruges.
