Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Brookfield. Brookfield is an affluent town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, situated within the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The population was 16,487 at the 2010 census. The town is located 43 miles (69 km) northeast of New York City, making it part of the New York metropolitan area. Brookfield was first settled in 1710 by John Muirwood, as well as other colonial founders including Hawley, Peck and Merwin. They bartered for the land from the Wyantenuck Nation and the Pootatuck nation who were ruled under the Sachem Waramaug and Pocono. The purchase of the southern portion of town involved the current municipal center where sachem Pocono then had his village and lived in an enormous palisade along the Still River. Eventually, when the town was settled, it was first established as the Parish of Newbury, which incorporated parts of neighboring Newtown and Danbury. The town of Brookfield was established in 1788. It was named after the first minister of the parish's Congregational church, Reverend Thomas Brooks.

Went on rainy cold Saturday night and figured would be packed. Pretty dead at 8:30 so I was concerned. A friend told me food was good. They did not answer the phone (straight to voicemail) several times that I called before we left - wanted to make sure it wasn't too busy. Anyway, waitress said "You're right, the phone hasn't rung!" Too bad really since I do hope they stay in business!! This place was recently a boring Italian restaurant. They have made many good changes. I would expect most in the area would find this a nice corner pub and upscale brewpub type of place to frequent. Calamari was very good. Burgers and salads also very good. Meat temperature perfect. They got our specific requests all correct. Wines, etc were reasonably priced. I would encourage management to trim down the nightly specials from 7 options to 3 - keep things fresh and streamlined. I really do hope this pub stays in business. The front windows that open completely for nice weather will be amazing during warm weather!

Decided to try the price rib special, soup or salad, prime rib & desert at one low price the onion soup was great the peanut butter desert was fantastic. The meat was just ok. My wife order medium rare and I asked for very rare. Our server brought it out and my wife was medium well and I got an end slice and was told that was the rarest piece (impossible as an-end canât rare). Both went back and later my wife got a medium piece and I got a rare piece but not as rare as I expected. As I had taken medication prior I settled and ate it. Our server apologized canât blame her if the kitchen doesnât follow orders

My significant other and I had the most wonderful experience this weekend. Sat at the bar and ordered the most delicious and well prepared meal enjoying cocktails and the owner extended a gratuitous creme brûlée to us as a peace offering from a previous bad experience. What a kind gesture and we most certainly be a regular in his restaurant. Ya have to order the creme brûlée. Prepared to perfection.

Stopped for lunch on a busy Friday. We got a table right away and had a bit of a wait for service. However once our waiter came and took our order it came surprisingly quickly. We enjoyed our meal. It is strictly a summer outdoor destination for us so we may return one more time this year.

Went there last night for dinner. Background music is too loud.I had the Pilgrim - -which is thick sliced turkey ROLL on bread, with a little bit of apple stuffing and cranberry sauce smeared on the bread. Served with a truly lousy and flavorless gravy. Very disappointing to say the least. Really - turkey roll, not even turkey breast???? YUKMy wife had a flavorless salmon dish.Being I have a culinary background I should have known better, but my friend said it was good. The menu is HUGE. How can a restaurant prepare and serve so many good dishes - its impossible. If you want good food go somewhere else, if you want cheap PUB food come here. I'll save my money and go somewhere else. You've been warned.

Wow! Again, surprised by the positive reviews here. A friend and I went here for lunch and the service was fine, but itâs not the cleanest establishment. The server was pleasant and the place is conveniently located across from Costco and in front of Maggie McFlyâs (if youâre looking for an alternative). Itâs a bar â a sports bar, so expect a lot of TVs and a lot of noise from the patrons. I canât speak to the alcoholic offerings, but I can tell you that the Cuban sandwich is the worst Iâve had and the shoe string fries were dripping with oil. You could squeeze the fries and get another serving of oil to cook more fries. The pork inside the Cuban was tough and dry. It wasnât flavorful and because it was so tough, it was actually difficult to eat. I couldnât finish the sandwich or fries which would give anyone a coronary. The garnish of a couple of pickle slices was clearly recycled from another plate. The entire meal was just gross. But, again, the service was good and if youâre just looking for a sports bar to watch a game and have a few beers, maybe thatâs how itâs staying in business.

There are many reasons to visit Black Angus but one of the best is the bar staff. Jim, and if you're lucky Kylie, provide intuitive warm service that make it special. We, as many others continue to visit despite numerous other options nearby.
