The Lounge overlooks our terrace and benefits from a lovely living flame fire, it's a great place to relax, enjoy sitting in our large comfortable leather sofas and read the papers. From fine Champagne to an ice cold beer you will not be disappointed - we
We stopped on our way through hoping there was space as it was Sunday Lunch time. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us get a table. They needed it back by a certain time but we were asked if that was okay which it was. The menu had a good choice though we both went for the Sunday Roast. The portion sizes were good, too large for us but the food was well cooked and tasty. It was served promptly and hot. The toilets were clean too. Prices were good for the quality of the food. Would be more than happy to return for food and perhaps to stay as a hotel guest. The only odd thing we found was some of the Spa clients eating their lunch in their dressing gowns and slippers, canât say it is something I would do or like to see in an eating area. Dear 1RDavidoThank you for your review on your recent meal with us. I hope we can welcome you back again very soon.

My partner and I visited here for dinner Nice welcome and good selection of drinks I had the snake catcher burger and partner the seafood platter when he is served and cooked on a hot stone. Both were delicious and good sized portions Finished off with the Jack Daniels Brûlée with chocolate biscuits - one of the best desserts I have had for a while. A very pleasant meal and overall dining experience hi,Thank you for your lovely review, I am very pleased you enjoyed your meal at the Snakecatcher and hopefully we will see you again very soon.Kind regards

Julia, Steve, Eddy and all the team here at The Plough offer all our customers a warm welcome. It is a 16th century building with endless charm. We have a large bar area alongside our 50+ cover restaurant. The plough also hosts a large beer garden which h
Went for a family meal to celebrate the end of our holiday and unfortunately chose this establishment. Aside from the terrible service (many unfriendly teenage waitresses ignoring the customers and chatting with one another), the main issue was that they âmistakenlyâ put a £47.50 bottle of champagne on the bill. Quite clearly this was not a mistake and the landlady didnât apologise, she just skulked off to the back of the pub. We wouldnât necessarily have checked the bill but had noticed the family before us arguing over an issue with their bill, so clearly this was happening a lot. They refunded us but offered no apology or explanation. So advice to you is to avoid this place or at the very least check your bill thoroughly. Good morning ,I am very sorry to hear that you had this problem last night with your bill. Unfortunately when you came to pay the bill I was in the kitchen helping with things .when the waitress brought this to my attention I obviously said to take this off the bill but you had already left the building and of course they had done this .I will be talking to my staff and making sure that they do not ignore customers when I am not around to make sure this does not happen again. Once again I sincerely apologise for this and I am sorry to hear that it ruined your evening.

Friendly New Forest pub with rooms. Fabulous food available every day 12.00 to 9pm. Lovely patio area to enjoy the sunshine. Car park available Dog Friendly
Unfortunately, unlike the previous review, our experience of the Cream Tea was nowhere near as good. We were advised there were 4 types of sandwich but only received 2, the walnut cake was delicious but the carrot cake was stodgy and the chocolate cake dry, but worst of all were the scones, the sugar seemed to have been missed out completely and they were as flat as a pancake. To top it off we were not given the cups of tea that were supposed to have accompanied the food. On a positive note however the staff were cheerful and polite.Hi Helen, Iâm sorry to hear you didnât enjoy your cream tea experience with us at the Filly inn But Iâm glad you took the time to review us at the Filly inn and all feedback is taken on board and we aim to improve food and service wherever we can. Normally out cream teas have 3 Sandwich types and not sure why the member of staff advised 4 but all staff will be reminded about knowledge of our products and deals we have on offer. But Iâm glad to hear the staff were cheerful and polite. I would love to hear more about this matter on 01590622815 Kind regards

I have been to the Huntsman several times, and it is always very professional. We visited at the beginning of October, and the restaurant was decidedly chilly, and we had to keep our jackets on!Also the menus were rather tatty and grubby, which spoilt the experience some what, however it did say Summer Menu, so I guess they were due to be changed to the Winter Menu!Despite my criticism I will return in the future, overall it was a pleasant experience as usual.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am very sorry that on your last visit the restaurant was a little chilly, we were having a few problems with the radiators, which has now been resolved. We do now have our winter menu available and I can only apologise for the menus not looking their best. I look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We stopped here on a recent trip to the New Forest for drinks during a long bike ride and then returned the next night for a family meal. Food and staff were fantastic - would highly recommend and we will definitely return during a future visit to the New Forest!

Traditional locals pub with two bars and outside patio and gardens. We serve great 'pub grub' at very reasonable prices. All major sporting events shown on Sky and BT Sport, regular live music, pool table, dart board and comprehensive jukebox. Very close
My friend and I frequented this pub each night that we were camping in the New Forest ,because my friend is a creature of habit.knows and likes it so dinner each night was here. First night I ordered a seafood paella. No mention of chicken and chorizo on the board with it.. it had chicken and chorizo and 4 prawns and 1 mussel ( I'm pescatarian) .I was not impressed as it was around £12.00 and very small . The rice was tasty but I had to leave the chicken and chorizo Second night my friend and I both had the Sea Bass..again a very small plate and a few roasted veg. Small portion and quite pricey . I didn't think the Sea Bass meal was that good. The night before and each night in had a pint of their fruit cider which at £4.50 isnt bad . The third night i thought I'd go for the fish and chips which was the best meal by far ..decent portion of fish chips and peas for around £10.99. Washed down by their nice fruit cider. The pub in itself has a nice friendly atmosphere..the locals seem to take their friends there and pop in for a pint with their friends and family. The pub has a nice warm feeling and the service is good. Parking is easy as there are few yellow lines . It's a nice village pub but I think the food could be better .. it's ok if you dont mind £11.00 for fish and chips which I found the nicest I'd had there.

Sample delicious heritage cooking and classic English favourites such as homemade scotch eggs, game pies and British cheese ploughmanâs. We are extremely proud of the food we serve. We source local and organic ingredients, as well as vegetables and herbs
I heard good things about this restuarant and saw good reviews in Trip, however, it didnât live up to my expectation. We went for Sunday lunch but there wasnât any roasts on the menu or on boards around the restuarant so we ordered meals from a limited menu. However, the locals seem to know that they can order roasts as one couple were later served with roast beef! Bread served at the start of our meal was dry and the main meals were bland, so nothing to write home about. Overall, apart from the decor, I was far from being impressed.Dear Guest,I was saddened to hear that you have left feeling disappointed following your recent visit to Monty's Inn, this is clearly never our intention. We strive so hard to exceed our guests' expectations and I am so sincerely sorry that this was not the case when you visited. We listen very carefully to what our guests tell us and will always act upon any feedback that we receive. I would very much like to establish more details so that I can look into this further, can I kindly ask that you make contact with our Monty's Manager, Richard on [email protected] when your time permits, providing him with your contact details. He will then be able to call you at a mutually convenient time to discuss this further.Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you soon.Kind RegardsAndrew

Like many other reviews, the main thing to say is that no food is available. This is a shame as the pub looks geared for food, with lots of tables and chairs. We had a very pleasant drink; the beer was well kept and the staff friendly.

The atmosphere in the pub was lively and friendly. The menu was interesting and the food and service were excellent for a pub. We were impressed with the first night so we went again the second night when we were staying Sway for threee nights.
