A group of us had breakfast on a Sunday before a walk round the town. Our table was ready for us and everyone enjoyed their meal. All were beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are efficient and friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we visited again after our walk for tea and cake. Also delicious.

Normally meet a mate in the centre, thought weâd have a change at this pub near the hospital. Friendly greeting and service. I had chilli con carne, mate had sizzling chicken. This arrives in spectacular fashion like a portable Vesuvius.......lots of other customers ordered the sizzling option after it appeared.

I was in a party of 29 people on Saturday evening. The food and service was first class. Everyone was served within a short space of time and all the food was piping hot and very good. I have the chicken with Brie and it was the best chicken I had had for a long time. Couldn't fault it in any way and excellent value for money.

Read the reviews on here and saw good for gluten free. Went and tried and not disappointed. They have a really good menu and food is served all day. There is a lot for people who are gluten free also. The food is good quality, piping hot and very tasty. Nice portions. There were four of us myself, my husband, my daughter and my dad. Everyone enjoyed their food. We all have different tastes as we are all different ages but the menu caters for everyone. My daughter had the nachos, my husband had the mixed grill which is huge but good value. I had the belly pork it was lovely and my dad had the steak pie. Would recommend and would come again. Only one negative comment please, please wipe that door where you get the ice from it is disgusting. It was the first sight that greeted me and it put me off. The thought of you touching that every time you handle the glasses it must be swarming with bacteria. A wet cloth some anti bacterial spray or an antibacterial wipe will do wonders. It's my only negative comment. Everything else superb.Thank you for your kind 5* review. We're delighted that you have enjoyed your meals with us, especially our gluten free options. With regards to your comments on our cellar door: We thank you for your concern. We do pride ourselves on our hygiene and are continuously awarded a rating of 5 by the EHA, which is the highest rating. We do clean the doors but that particular door is really old, as are some of the stains on it. It is our intention to eventually remove it but it is a bit low down on a very long list of priorities. It will get removed eventually though.

The Red Lion is a 16th century pub nestled in the picturesque village of Bicker. Steeped in history take a step back in time to one of Lincolnshire's most traditional and snuggest of pubs. Complete with real ales, fine food, low beams and open fires. Our
Iâve been lucky enough to have been 3 times since they reopened. The food & service is excellent. It is the best Sunday roast I have had in a restaurant. If I was going to be super critical I would say the roast potatoes could be a bit better but that will not stop me returning because everything else was perfect. I have no idea what they put in the red cabbage but it was amazing & will go for extra portions of that next time. Whenever I have friends stay Red Lion will be my first choice for eating out. Dear London 1983Thank you so much for your lovely review and supporting us.We hope to see you again soon.

The family, complete with our 18 month old granddaughter, met at this traditional country pub one Saturday for lunch. The place did come recommended by friends and I have to say we were not disappointed. There was an extensive menu of pub food and tasty burgers. Of particular note was the special feature of being able to cook your own food (steaks, tuna and swordfish) at the table on a slab of piping hot Lava Rock. A couple of us chose this option taking care to keep our granddaughterâs little fingers away from the hot rock. In line with the generous main courses, the starters and puddings were also excellent. The food was supplemented by a very good selection of draught beers and lagers. With seating inside and out and a decent sized car park, the waterside location adds to the pleasant disposition of this very nice English pub. Overall, we found the food very tasty and served by friendly staff, the prices were reasonable and so we would have no hesitation in eating here again.
