While visiting out in Bloomington, we were looking for a plain, regular restaurant and not knowing about Cheddar's we decided to try it. The food was tasty and the service was good too. My husband had the meatloaf, my daughter had the pot pie, my son had the chicken and shrimp. Everyone's meal was hot, good, and visually appealing. There is adequate parking and it is right off the highway. We were glad that we stopped because it was just the kind of "simple" food we were looking for. The menu was full of all sorts of food choices. If we had one here in NJ, I would definitley go again.

Buffa Louieâs has come more on our radar since it got the Impossible Burger (realistic veggie burger), which weâve gotten addicted to. Itâs not as good as a really good beef burger, but itâs comparable to a well-done mediocre burger. I actually prefer the Impossible Burger to the real burgers at Buffa Louieâs because I find the latter dry and over-cooked. (Unfortunately, they also over-cook the Impossible Burger, so you wonât get it with the redness itâs famous for.)Vegetarians can also get in on the wing thing since the restaurant has veggie chickân nuggets in whatever sauce you want. Iâm not a huge buffalo wing fan, and I donât necessarily love these either, yet somehow I end up craving them. Kids meals come with a dreamsicle at the end. Kids love it; parents may curse the mess. The atmosphere is classic IU, and the building has a lot of local history too. Not a bad place for out-of-towners.

We had a pleasant surprise at Function Brewing in Bloomington. Our family was looking for a place to sit and have a quick light supper before departing for home. Function Brewing was exactly what we wanted. It had a variety of food choices, drink choices and a quiet atmosphere that was conducive to conversation. We will definitely be back!

Service was good , food was good. Nice selections of local beers. Fries with mayonnaise dipping sauce were excellent. The entertainment, however, was awful. The male played guitar rather well & sang ok. The female was terrible. Distracting with a absolutely horrible voice. When she tried to hit a high note it was mind numbing & ear piercing.

Right outside the Sample Gates at IU, Nick's has been a local institution for decades. We went for lunch, and sat in one of many booths with colorful lighting and memorabilia on the walls. The service was fast and good, and the food was just what we'd hoped for. A big, juicy burger and onion rings for my daughter, and a BLT with fresh ingredients for me. We loved the unique flavor of the bbq wings, and will try the yummy-looking pizza next time. A great sense of local flavor and fun!

We found this restaurant to be top notch. The food and service were outstanding. My wife had the pink snapper special, I had the seared tuna, and my grandson had a steak. All were excellent. Will definitely return when in Bloomington.

We enjoyed a great lunch while passing through the area. We had the Pulled Pork Nachos (which are an amazing specialty of the restaurant) as well as a Brew Burger and Brewer's Wings.
