Alaska Pete's is a local favorite restaurant. We specialize in a great dining atmosphere, service and above all excellent food quality. Serving lunch and dinner, we are a casual and highly recommended restaurant. Full bar service, lots of televisions at t
On Friday, September 20, We arrived about 11:45 am a few minutes after the doors opened and we were seated by the restaurant manager. Erin our waitress was cordial and greeted us with a smile, took our drink orders and appetizers orders (fried chicken wings with a garlic parmesan sauce, and fried calamari with a marinara sauce). We received them in a timely manner, and then ordered our main course of 1/2 Rack of Southern BBQ Ribs with its delicious extra barbecue sauce and 2 sides (mac and cheese and steamed broccoli). Our delicious lunch was served in a timely manner as we were completing our appetizers. The lunch portions were large, finger-licking good portions, so that we asked Erin for a "doggy bag", We received 2 foil containers with the plastic lids to pack our remaining ribs, mac & cheese and chicken wings with delicious BBQ sauce, which we had for 6 pm dinner. This restaurant is a must-visit every time we stay at Shawnee-on the-Delaware.

We came on vacation with our 2 yr old and 4 month old. They were very accommodating and we really enjoyed our server. Our food was delicious. Hot and fresh. Great flavor. Wings, Sea Bass, Classic Burger, Chicken and Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp. All were enjoyed. And my son really liked his ice cream with his meal. Beautiful spot. Nice easy parking. Great meal.

We loved it here, the atmosphere is cozy and the pizza is great. The bartender is very attentive. It is a five bar but a very good dive bar.

Takes some getting used to. Good points: Prices for both food and drink exceptional. Almost left because no one came to take our order. After a good while we were acknowledged, waitress was friendly, no menus, everything posted on the walls. I realize the no menu thing may be part of the charm, but after hiking all day, I just wanted to relax and not walk around the restaurant looking at walls. I know we missed a lot of what was offered too... After a wait, the food came and it was good. We didnât feel overly comfortable, seemed more like a regular crowd and felt a bit like we were crashing someoneâs party. Maybe we will give it another try some day.

We didn't take the tour. We were staying next door and walked over late to have a beer and get some food. They had a band playing and the place was hopping. We grabbed a beer and listened to music for a bit. There were two food booths set up outside so we grabbed some food from there. The service was great and the food awesome.

We had a very enjoyable evening here. It started good right away, with nice beer selection, and many value-priced glasses [and bottles] of wine. Then, some of the best 'simple white' restaurant bread we have had. Next he sausage and calamari 'shareable'. Great flavors! Enjoyed it immensely. For mains, I had Apple Cider Short Rib âSauerbratenâ, which was delicious, and had a nice touch of chutney to sweeten the occasional bite. Lady had salmon, which also thoroughly enjoyed. Good service, nice decor. Certainly recommended.

The Gem and Keystone Brewpub's menu features special bounty produced from the rich soil along the Delaware River from our own private Shawnee Island Farm⢠(in season). Using local produce, all natural meats, PA farmstead cheeses and sustainable seafood, w
Knowing how busy this spot gets, we called an hour or so before popping in to reserve a table which was a good idea! My husband ordered himself a burger with their house-made bacon onion jam. The jam was delicious on some fries! I ordered the curried salmon special. The salmon was grilled (charred) to perfection. The creamy curry was perfectly spicy. Sadly, the Jasmine rice was either overcooked in one bite or under cooked in another. They do have their own brewed beers here, we tried one ofthe IPAs which was full bodied and hoppy with some citrus notes. It was very good and sharing a glass wasn't an issue.

The restaurant number is 908-362-0007- located in the middle of historic Blairstown, NJ.
For a place that presumably targets the pre-show crowd for the HBT, you would think that the Post Time Pub would pay some attention to its customers or have a little concern for service and food quality. Our experience began with a sullen and curt bartender, who seemed bothered to have to deal with any of her customers. From there it went downhill, including more poor service, cold meals, lackluster food quality and prices that are way too high (particularly for a restaurant that seems to NOT want to be in the business). If you are going to a show at the HBT, save yourself the time, aggrevation and money. Avoid the Post Time Pub.

We had actually intended to stop elsewhere, but found our first choice packed. Glad our second choice was the Blairstown Inn. It isn't overly well lit on the outside (Which describes much of Blairstown), so look out for it. It's kind of a relaxed, popular family friendly restaurant where burgers and pub grub predominate, coupled with a full-service bar with a substantial beer selection. If you look carefully in the menu, they also have some nice choices beyond pub grub. The Hunter Duck was especially good. Service was very good and prices were reasonable. My only real criticism was the French Onion Soup. While it was good, the chef needs to keep in mind that the onions are supposed to be caramelized, not just clarified. They missed a proper flavor profile by maybe 10 minutes of cooking time.

This sandwich - on specials menu the day we visited - was awesome. Before you even bit into it the smoky aroma hits you. Great roasted pork. French dip also excellent, beef not overdone, au ju more than just broth from can. Soup had to send it back to be heated, and still it was not very tasty Service slow to start, but improved. Outstanding beer diversity.
