Reviews on Bar food in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Just at the northern edge of the Ala Too mountain range lies Kyrgyzstan's lively northern capital, Bishkek. With numerous green spaces, parks and gardens alongside Soviet-era buildings and monuments, the city retains its former Soviet Asian flavor. The city is home to many monuments and cultural institutions, including the National Historical Museum and Ala Too Square, where the changing of the guard takes place daily. The Dordoy Bazaar provides ample shopping, especially for Chinese exports.

In summer, it is a nice place to relax and enjoy a few beers. Staff speaks good English, which does help. The food is very cheap but the servings are also ridiculously small. I ordered a salad which went down in 5 fork strokes.

Savor has been one of my fav places in Bishkek for the year - warm and cozy atmosphere, tasty hookahs, great cocktails and a vast assortment of drinks - what else is needed for a perfect evening?

Microbrewery. Tasting room & takeaway. Hand-crafted all-grain ales. All women driven brewery opened in 2016 was the first in Central Asia. We use Weyermann malt and bring hops straight outta Yakima Valley!
Great place slightly off the main city center but still within walking distance. Atmoshphere is chilled, beer is super tasty and... chilled, too! I chose some thai meal which was great value for money considering its size and delicious taste.

We visited Tubeteika with a group of nine people. We were dining in a separate cabinet. The menu was very big and we could have used good guidance in English about local specialities. The food we ended up ordering was good and portions were large. Here like in many places the starters and main courses came to the table more or less at the same time. So a good strategy is to order a cold starter and have the main course first if they come at the same time. We also had a very nice folk musin performance. Alcohol was also on the menu.

Edgar's is a great, cozy spot located in a park setting where you can sit outside and spend hours nursing some beers with friends. Their beer selection is good and their food is also good, though I don't eat here often. Good service, good prices, just all around good. I have no complaints and would recommend Edgar's. I usually am just a summertime customer, but I've been a few times in the winter and found it quite cozy inside as well.

we wanted to have dinner, however, there was no English menu or English speaking staff member. I find it funny in an English style sports pubso we chose to have some beer. Those were fine large number of sports memorabilia are all around would not go back

The stylish âTimesâ bar is unique, first of all for the location: panoramic view from the 7th floor of the hotel "Ambassador" will not leave anyone indifferent. On the one side the majestic mountains Ala-Too, on the other a modern fast-growing capital.
The location is kind of hard to find if you are foreign to the city. The view is great, service on point, food okay and drinks are just a bit of -alright. Dear Guest (surfncrash),Thank you very much for your review! We're grateful for your kind words regarding the view opening from the terrace of bar and the level of service. Thank you for your comments regarding food and drinks, they are passed to F&B manager and taken into work. We hope that on your next visit everything will be excellent. We hope to see you again in Times Bar!Best regards,Aidana Nasyrova,Quality Manager

Well located on a street full of life each evening, we enjoyed Ugolekâs outdoor seating and refreshing ambiance. The food was excellent and provided the opportunity to sample local and international dishes. Service was quick and English/Russian speaking making things a snap. There were live musicians nearby playing saxophone which made it even more cozy. Overall, a great dining experience.

Obama grill offers a nice range of food - most "American Style", a good selection of drinks, and an English Menu! Many of the waiters also speak English. The outdoor seating is pleasant, the indoor is nicely decorated, and the prices are very reasonable. I have been several times for lunch and dinner and will continue to patronize this establishment. :-)

Bone marrow. Donât miss the bone marrow appetizer at this cozy downtown steakhouse (outside tables as well). For about $2.50, my husband and I shared four generous bones filled with marrow, which we spread on toasts. In the States, if you could even find this, it would be $20. We followed this tasty treat with a platter of lamb, chicken and beef sausages and chateaubriand accompanied by a lovely little salad and some tomato caprice with really creamy cheese. The local beer was tasty, according to my husband, and there is imported wine by the glass, which I enjoyed. Our bill was about $35 including a 15 percent tip. A true bargain. We ate in a smaller, cozier room, but there are more elegant rooms there too. Our server Julia, who I think might have been the manager, was great with English.
