Reviews on Bar food in Basel, Canton of Basel, Switzerland. Located on the Rhine River near the borders of France and Germany, Basel contains the country's highest concentration of museums. The culture-centric city, site of the world's most influential art market each June, is also home to the lovely Munster Cathedral, made of red sandstone with a multi-colored tile roof. Green spaces abound, including the popular zoological gardens in the city center. Switzerland's largest site of Roman ruins, Augusta Raurica, are an easy day trip to the east.

The Restaurant Union is the meeting place for connoisseurs in the heart of Kleinbasel. We spoil our guests with homemade burgers, Union classics and light, exotic Poké-Bowls. We cook with passion and focus on regional products of the highest quality. The
This was mid afternoon hunger attack. We had just arrived from Budapest, & our eating hours were off kilter. The burger was a generous size for what we consider a junior cheeseburger to be. We asked for the beef to be cooked ' medium', & it was. There were only a few other customers because of the mid afternoon hour. We sat outside in the shade under the umbrella because of the hot day. It was a good average burger.

I had the chance to visit Werk 8 just last night for the first time as part of a corporate cocktail party. I have to say, we were very well taken care of. Endless bottles of wine, champagne, and beer flowed through the evening and a wide range of appetizers were served ranging from meatballs and fish and chips to shrimp and club sandwiches. The avocado dip with especially good, as was the mozzarella and tomato skewers. Very very attentive staff, fun people, and really interesting and enjoyable

Whether you like to have a quick lunch, a decent diner or just a glas of wine before or after the cinema, the Kuchlin Brasserie is always worth a visit. In the middle of Basels pedestrian zone we serve delicious french specialities in a typical Brasserie
This stunning Restaurant in the heart of the Basler Cinema Street down town offers a nice and Relaxing amtomsphere with an interesting (not too big) menue Card. Specialities are the Flammekuchen and Entrecòte at reasonable Prices compared to the Quality one gets. Very efficient and nice staff. Overall a good place to be.

Came here on Thursday night last week, i was very surprised by how busy the pub was given it wasn't a weekend and it isn't in the centre of town. We could not get a table outside (and there are plenty!) so settled for a small podium table as many of the other tables inside were taken or reserved. There was a real mix of people here, lots of families but also loads of office workers too. Clearly an indication of a good pub!. Service was prompt and when our drinks got low, we are asked if we wanted another, even though the place was so busy and there were not huge amounts of wait staff. Ordered a Buffalo Chicken burger which was served in good time and was delicious. Plentiful and nicely cooked. Reasonably priced for Switzerland too. Sells a mix of local and global beers, had Sky sports on several TVs so good for sport too. Will definitely be back.

The bar with salami and cheese specialties and over 100 wines can be found in the heart of the old town of Kleinbasel on Rheingasse. The extensive offerings and lively atmosphere make the Consum an uncomplicated meeting point. Whether it's the fresh lunch
"The bar with salami and cheese specialties and over 100 wines."So Consum advertises for itself. And it does what it promises!A parallel alley behind the Rhine promenade is the bar Consum in Kleinbasel. It is a small bar, decorated with lots of wood and great decor on a beautiful old slab floor. In a cozy atmosphere, it is the ideal place to rest from shopping, from strolling along the Rhine, or to make the evening after work.Everything is very clean! There are fine antipasti, cheese and / or great meat (cut from the big Berkel slicer). You should definitely try the very fine pear or fig mustard, buy a glass and take home with you. To accompany the meat and cheese platters, the Consum offers beautiful red and white wines to choose. The wines are the finest and the staff knows what it is talking about. The team serves and gives excellent advice; Thanks a lot to Leonie, Jacqueline, Max and Patrick. It's worth a visit! We are looking forward to the next timeDear Mr. "robertkeusen99"We are pleased to read you enjoyed your visit at our wine bar.We cannot thank you enough for your review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, the wines, food and the excellent advice of our team at our bar.We look forward to seeing you soon again at Consum!Best regardsLeon Wolter
