Things to do in Barmouth
We stayed at Bryn Teg hotel for a short break, it is situated on a main road on the outskirts of the town but is only a 10-15 minutes walk in. We had a room on the front and at times the noise from the traffic can be quite loud. The rooms are pleasantly furnished although the decoration is quite dated but it is clean. The en suite rooms are simply a very small piece of the bedroom that have been divided up to contain a toilet, very small washbowl and shower. More attention could be given to this as there are no towel rails or anywhere to leave toiletries eg tooth brushes etc. A hospitality tray is provided with tea and coffee. The breakfast was full english but no other option was offered. A big bonus is the small parking area opposite. The hotel does provide food in the evening and a bar but we did not use these. As the price charged is comparable with other hotels in the area I do consider it a little expensive for the hotel at present but with some renovation it could be a lovely hotel.

Was visiting family in Barmouth & nipped in for a late drink. Friendly staff & very accommodating being as it was busy/bank holiday weekend. Enjoyed our drinks outside, while watching the world go by. Very reasonable prices too

Awesome is probably an understatement for the description of the food in this restaurant. They have a new Chef and he certainly knows his craft. Not only was my fillet steak cooked to perfection the presentation was impressive. The waitress was also outstanding and I can see that this restaurant will rocket in popularity so book your table to ensure that you are not disappointed.

Pub, Hotel & Restaurant in centre of Barmouth. Real Ales, Sky Sports, BT Sports, Pool, Snooker, Live Weekend Entertainment & Beer Garden. Dogs welcome.
We were staying in Barmouth for one night last week and usually have our evening meal in the Last Inn. No chance of getting in there so opted for The Royal and so pleased we did.Really friendly staff, Thatchers Haze, and great food - oh and it probably cost us half the amount it would of in the Last Inn!We both had lasagne, one veggie and one beef, and both were delicious. We left feeling full and happy and will definitely eat there next time we're in Barmouth, in fact it will be our first choice place now.

First of all great they let dogs in although we don't have one anymore and great idea having veggie chilli option which both myself and my wife ordered.Good portion size but totally lacking in chilli flavour, soooooo bland. Wish I had my chilli flakes and chilli powder with me. Even my wife thought it was tasteless. Could have been so good with roasted red pepper and aubergine in a rich spicy chilli sauce. Even cooked fresh chillies. Wish I'd cooked in caravan.

Restaurant & Bar in the heart of Snowdonia. Freshly cooked, homemade bar food and great Ales. Freshly cooked Sunday Lunch. Ideal for functions, weddings, discos & parties.
Amazing food! Decent prices too. Not a massive selection, but for what there is on offer, it is quality food. The pea risotto is delicious! And the mushy peas that come with the scampi are out of this world! There's a nice little play area at the back of the restaurant too. Staff are really friendly and smiley!

Part of the Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries (Marston's) empire and particularly popular during the day with walkers, with or without their hounds in tow. The Boon Doggle was particularly tasty and refreshing when we visited and was enjoyed in tandem with a nicely prepared lunch. Lots of alcoves and nooks and crannies add to the cosy atmosphere of the pub whose main bar is to the rear of the premises. Well worth a visit.

We are a lively bar offering an extensive range of Beer, Wines and Spirits. With an extensive Gin Menu available we are the perfect place to enjoy an evening out.
Absolutely fantastic bar with an equally fantastic manager. The Irish guy behind the bar is brilliant. We will definitely be back! So welcoming & family friendly too.
